We booked our vacation of a lifetime through an agent associated with Cadence Travel. We did not experience the so called as they advertise any "world class white glove care" for a very expensive trip. While on the cruise we heard from multiple people that their travel agent got them ship credits, free beverage package, and or there was a gift basket in their room. We received nothing and instead had an agent that even forgot to remind us that we had to book our own airline seats no assistance from travel agency or agent. This resulted in the worst seats we've ever had in our international travels. Nor did we receive any welcome gift or as We were celebrating a couple special occasions- birthday and retirement. Again as Cadence website purports "to take care of the Client". In addition, we were told several untrue things. One of those was having to check in for a river cruise by 3:00 p.m. costing us time to explore the originating city. All in all, the river cruise was a wonderful time but we absolutely gained nothing by using a travel agent and do not recommend this travel agency- Cadence Travel. read more

TBH, I'm not a customer, but a booking agent I know complained to me about an agent with Cadence. I don't know what's going on with this Steve guy, but he seems to not understand that when he's booking international travel, he needs to get passport information, destination locations, and actually make an effort to get all of the pertinent information from customers before booking a trip. Furthermore, he made his lack of adequate preparation the booking agent's problem, which I find completely unprofessional. If travel agencies are having difficulty competing with online travel options, then it would be a good idea to have a staff which exhibits exemplary professionalism. That means being courteous and patient with the people who are working with us. read more

WOW, WOW, WOW! Just returned from a 17-day trip to Namibia, Livingstone, Zambia and Chobe Game Lodge & Camp Moremi in Botswana. All arranged with Piper & Heath, on the recommendation of travel specialist extraordinaire Leslie G. at Cadence Travel. Our Africa trip was unique, exciting and magical! So many animals, fabulous accommodations & small airplane flights that were so smooth I forgot to be scared. All made so amazing with all the smooth transitions from airlines, ground transportation & lodging. We felt so taken care of being met by a nice gentleman in a black suit who walked us through crowed airports, into fast moving customs lines, and to the front door of hotel lobby or transportation van. My longtime boyfriend and I walked into Cadence Travel and met our fantastic travel agent. Her suggestions and itinerary were terrific and I had the greatest vacation ever thanks to her knowlegable guidance. We went to Tehaa'a at the Intercontinental, The stay was above our expectations. The dining hall had a buffet that was extensive and delicious. The hotel concierge organized a trip to a local pearl farm which was fantastic. We hated to leave our beautiful thatched roof accommodation out in the lagoon. The vacation could not have been more enjoyable. Service was perfect from the first step onto their welcome pier. Bonnie from Cadence helped me book my family vacation (6 people) going to Europe.. flights / cuise / hotel... One of our Son's was traveling with an entirely different route and Bonnie arranged it so that we would meet up with him and be able to fly together into Barcelona. She confirmed hotels for us and set up everything needed for our cruise.. On our way back home, multiple flights got cancelled and Bonnie took charge of the situation, re-arranged things and got us home (not having to spend the night in a hotel or airport). After an hour on hold in a hotel lobby 'sorry sir, we have your reservation, but can't find your authorization to charge your corporate account, it was sent on Thursday to our weekday staff and since it is Sunday, we dont have access to that and cant get ahold of them. Sorry you will need to pay out of pocket for the 3 rooms during your stay.' But wait, there's more! I told them I was not willing to do that, as other much cheaper and better hotels were available and asked them to cancel everything. 'Sorry we cant do that, it's too late. If you do that your corporate account will be charged for the rooms.' SO IF I DONT STAY HERE, YOU WILL CHARGE MY CORPORATE ACCOUNT, BUT IF I DO STAY, I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET?' What a joke. Buy a data plan for your phone and book it yourself. read more

Oscar Henrriquez from Cadence Travel booked the honeymoon for my wife Elizabeth and I. We were both excited to go to Barcelona, but Liz also wanted to go somewhere more exotic like an island. On Oscar's suggestion we added the Spanish island of Mallorca. Oscar got us a great price on some very convenient flight times. But Liz and I are hard to please when it comes to booking hotels. We have diverse tastes and yet very specific requirements. Oscar hit a homerun by booking us into the Melia De Mar resort in Mallorca and the Hotel Espana in Barcelona. Both were beautiful and in great locations. 4 days after our 220 person Celtic, Indian, Middle Eastern, Gothic, Steampunk, Circus wedding we took off for Spain. Upon arriving at the Melia De Mar we were delighted to find out the staff were expecting us "newlyweds." Oscar had been in constant contact with them to make sure everything would be ready. Walking into our room we were overjoyed to see a large welcome card from Oscar, champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries. Our room was very nice, the view of the bay was breathtaking, the staff was very attentive, and the food and drinks were great. Mallorca itself was awesome! We got some great shopping in, toured a castle, and dined on Mediterranean food at what we consider to be one of the top 10 restaurants of our lives. At the Hotel Espana Oscar arranged a free room upgrade. We were overwhelmed, and so glad we had let Oscar handle all the details. As he says, "you can't VIP yourself." So it's great to have the services of a professional. Walking into our room we were greeted again by a large welcome card, champagne, and treats. The Hotel Espana was stunning! It is the oldest hotel in Barcelona and was designed by a famous architect that also did a theater called the Palau De Musica. After exploring our room, the hallways, and the stylish rooftop bar, Liz enthusiastically exclaimed that this was now her favorite hotel she had ever stayed in! The excitement of Las Ramblas was only a block outside our front door. We walked many miles exploring the Gothic Quarter and the rest of the city. We had lots of tapas and sangria, and marveled at Spanish fashion and shoes. I even fulfilled a lifelong dream of buying a classical guitar in Spain! On our last night we went to a mind blowing flamenco guitar performance at the Palau De Musica. The architecture and decorations there were also beautiful and we could see the connection to our hotel. It was the perfect ending to a glorious honeymoon. If you are looking for someone to plan any sort of trip for you, let alone your honeymoon, we highly recommend Oscar at Cadence Travel. I booked a cruise on Friday. My credit card was debited for the whole amount instead of a deposit. I found out Oceana was bought out by another cruise line. I called Oceana on Sat and they would not cancel without the agency calling them. Cadence was closed till Monday and after many phone calls, Cadence said there would be a 25% cancellation fee. They would not return phone calls until Thursday and then said they would get back to me on Friday. No customer service, and bad policy. Unless you are sure you have a good agent who will stand by you, I do not recommend Cadence. I am hoping to resolve the 25% cancellation deposit through AMEX/ Certainly the Company does not return calls or service clients. read more

Worst experience in travel since the Berlin Wall! Was coordinating with Steve who apparently worked hard enough to charge hidden fees amounting in over $200 to not even beat a kayak or Expedia price. Then refused to delete the charges that were never agreed upon and replied that if the added cost was such a big deal then maybe I shouldn't be planning a trip!! Wow what a gem that Steve! We have now booked 2 trips with Rosalena. The first one was our Honeymoon and she went above and beyond our expectations. Rosalena is phenomenal at what she does and so incredibly knowledgable. She does a fantastic job of coordinating any sort of dream vacation you wish to take.
