Cades Cove

Perfect place to rent an affordable well maintained 18 speed bicycle for the 11 mile loop around Cades Cove. The loop is mostly flat, with some uphill climbs. I'm 36 and personally could not make the ride without getting off my bike from time to time to walk it up hill. It's not too long, and not too short.

Park rangers were great . We got in two hours later than we should and they did everything to make sure we were set up . Was quiet, cool nights and lots to do . Had a store with ice cream and hot good and things to buy. No Showers at all ! Had bathrooms . We had a camper so we were set . Can run generator from 8-6 to charge batteries .Would do again Debra and mike bush Goose creek SC

The restaurant is tucked away from the main road and well shaded on a sunny day. My Wife and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary and server Scott hooked us up with a complimentary champagne toast. He had command of the menu and his tables. My wife has food allergy's and he made sure everything was good to enjoy. He made us feel comfortable and every bite we had was an incredible experience! Highly recommend this place. Don't be scared off by the menu and descriptions of foods you've never tried, (trust the bite) this chef is legit!

From out of town and I got a lot of recommendations to try the bistro at Dancing Bear. You're tucked away in the forest with the most peaceful ambiance in the evening! The waiter introduced the menu to us and mentioned that the ingredients were all mostly locally sourced and or grown in their garden when you first turn onto the driveway. So great to know exactly where your food is coming from! For the starter, I shared the crab corn chowder - and the waiter was kind enough to split the soup into two bowls with my partner. This was a perfect starter! Creamy, a little smokey, and not too heavy like your typical chowder. Lacking in the crab department, but it's as you would suspect with anything advertising 'containing crab' at a restaurant. We were also given complimentary corn bread and it was delicious. Such a nice surprise and I definitely preferred having the cornbread over regular bread! The service was a little slow, especially to bring the appetizer and bread out, but I wasn't too bothered since it didn't seem like we were rushed to finish our meal. I ordered the filet mignon (med rare) as my main. The flavors were spot on! My filet was a bit tougher than other filets I've had in the past... it was difficult to cut into. I also wished there was more of the red wine sauce to balance the richness of all the accompanying flavors and textures. All in all, this spot was a special treat tucked away in Townsend and I'm glad I didn't have to drive too far for a well-crafted menu and food scene!

We have been visiting Townsend for years and years, and we never went into the Subway. We noticed…read moreit was always there, even when several other restaurants had come and gone, Subway seems to have always been able to stay. So this is a typical Subway and has what you would expect at a Subway, bit this one has a special bonus. It also offers ice cream! They offer about 15 different flavors in a bowl or on a cone. There is outdoor and indoor seating. We stopped in for a treat and will return again for lunch! By the way it is all very affordable! The building itself seems to be showing some age, but it doesn't take away from the quality of the food or the great attitude of the team that runs the show here.

She put exactly what I needed on the sandwich. And apparently it has been awhile since I have been in Subway, but they have this new thing that you put the knives into and it cleans them right away, so that when your sandwich is sliced, there is nothing on there from the previous sandwich that was cut. That's huge for me because of all my allergies. So it's a win win for me. So I will definitely be back to this Subway time and time again. It's so rare to find great customer service and someone who is so conscious about food allergies and didn't roll her eyes when I asked her for a clean knife.

The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. In between meals, we made sure to stay active to earn our appetite. The property offers access to great trails in the Smokies which we took advantage of as well as a lovely outdoor pool with a view. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We decided to take the plunge and we are so happy we did. It's a 3 night minimum and frankly a great idea to take it all in. We enjoyed the following activities ; Fly Fishing, wine tasting , the spa , a farm tour , & tomato tasting. All were spectacular and unique to themselves. The culinary experience is nothing short of a Michelin experience for dinner. The price is all inclusive , sans your alcohol. The service is world class and the staff makes you feel so welcome. Whether it's a special occasion or a bucket list item , I would say it's a must in your lifetime !! Side note- We thought this would be a one and done. However, the level of experience and ability to unplug was extremely therapeutic. Hope you enjoy the review by LIKING it and sharing feedback :).
