The most fun I had on our entire vacation. Our guide was Emily. Our horses was BLUE & Snoop. Blue was very easy riding horse. Snoop didn't like the guide horse behind him so he was being a bit moody. But the trails were great up hill and down. They have horses for all experience levels and they a farm horse trained not the usual reign trained. Would definitely recommend

My wife and I took the carriage ride and Marvin was the most fun guide ever! We saw a couple of deer about two minutes after we left that were only about 20 yards away and didn't seem to mind us. Marvin will take plenty of pictures for you with your camera!

This was by far the best horse riding I have experienced in the area and I'm mad at myself that it's taken this long for me to try this location. Debbie was an amazing guide and every single person that worked there was amazing. The friendliest people I've ever come across. We got there right at open and the group behind us got spit up so we decided to let them go in front of us so it took about an hour to get going but it wasn't a problem. Blue was the most amazing horse I've ever ridden and my husband had Marie and she was also perfect. Such a good experience and we can't wait to come back.

My first horse riding experience.. was awesome.... :-) We were a group of 5 and then there was a one more lady so total 6.. The trail is good through the forest and even across a creek which was a little deep, enough to splash water on my shoes and make it wet.. There were some ups and downs in the trail.. The horses were well trained and you just need to handle them a little bit when they stop in between.. They pretty much followed the horse in front.. The guide was good and gave us proper instructions.. My horse's name was Genie.. I was riding at the end of the group of 6 so had my own time handling the horse and moving it from side to side in between... Never was in a position of falling off the horse.. We even crossed a road and the vehicles had to wait for us to cross as we had the right of way... You can take photos while your riding, if possible or either at the beginning or at the end ask the guides to take your pictures... its 30$ for an hour and you can also get a helmet to rent for free for the ride.. All of us enjoyed the ride and would do it again... They also offered hay rides.. and had some huge horses for those..

Horse back riding was really fun. Wished more options but only option is for an hour ride.

My wife, kids, and I drove an hour from Gatlinburg to visit Cades Cove Stables and we did not regret it.

The park facilities are stuck in the 80's (also about the last time they put any money into it). Not even a single shower, to say nothing of power, sewer or even 50% of the slabs being level enough to not use all your leveling devices. With 10,000 acres available you think one of the busiest parks on the East Coast could lay out a modern campground. Wildlife was extensive - bears are very common here so camp like it. Expect deer, turkeys, and lots of birds. Can't believe how limited the biking is for a park with this much open space and trails.

We were told that bike reservations were sold out and had to be claimed at 7am, which did not interest us even if the reservations were available. Nonetheless, the woman on the phone was very friendly and told us that we were likely to be able to rent a bike, since they're constantly being returned. We started our bike ride at around 2:30, after being given a safety briefing and signing waivers electronically. The system seemed very efficient. Helmets are required for those 16 and under. The bikes we had were 7 speed. We finished the full 11 mile loop in a little over 2 hours and returned the bikes where we retrieved them. We rented the bikes for 2 hours, and were not charged for the additional 20 minutes it took for us to complete the loop. After returning the bikes, we enjoyed ice cream and fountain soda. It was the perfect way to end our scenic bike ride. (BTW- we saw wild turkeys, and 3 black bears along our ride). It was AMAZING.

I suffered through the rest of the ride with horrible ghost shifting. I called Bear Paw and Audrey to relay what had happened. My bike was covered in mud-NO PROBLEM said Audrey. They had a bike wash and Trent said to bring it in and he'd take a look. I am from out of town leaving the next day so timely service was pretty important. As thought, my hanger was bent and Trent's expert eye caught that my chain was missing a link causing extra stress on the hanger. Needless to say they got the bike washed, got the chain and hanger straightened out. He also made a couple of adjustments while I sat on the bike and now it's perfect. The bike looks and rides as new as when I first got it! These guys are first rate all the way. Super friendly and very accommodating. We can't wait to come back and hit more of that spectacular trail system! I'm a HUGE fan of these guys! Let us know if you come to Greenville, SC and I'll meet you at Fireforge! Cheers folks!
