Cadys Cocina and Minimart is an absolute gem! If you're anywhere near Mount Vernon, you have to stop by their McLean Road location. Their breakfast burritos are hands down some of the best I've ever had--perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and seriously satisfying. Everything tastes fresh, and you can tell they put care into every bite. Whether you're grabbing a quick breakfast or fueling up for the day, this place never disappoints. Friendly service, great food, and those burritos alone are worth the trip. Highly recommend checking them

This Mexican restaurant consistently goes above and beyond with both service and flavor. Every dish is packed with authentic taste and super fresh ingredients, They always keep their restaurant clean and energetic. The #1 asada tacos are my fav, I want to try more things on the menu, but too addicted to the tacos lol. From the moment you walk in, you're treated like family. Hands down the best Mexican food around--highly recommend!

Amazing hot sauces that pop the palate.

We recently tried this fabulous taqueria, the menu is loaded with authentic Mexican food, a wide variety of choices that have flavors of an authentic edge that only a grandma could make. The food is full of fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this for those looking for a fulfilling dinner, plan on having leftovers.

Super authentic Mexican food right here in Stanwood WA. I ordered the #8, three street tacos with rice and beans. They let me choose a different type of meat for each taco. I wanted to get a taste of what different meats were like. Service was very prompt and the young person behind the counter was very helpful and polite. I was as surprised to see so many extras included with my meal, shredded lettuce, tomato, avocado, sour cream, grilled onions, sliced radishes, a lime, and salsa. The beans were very savory and flavorful. The rice was mild, when mixed with the beans it was a perfect balance. Would be great in a burrito. The birria taco was tender and juicy with a hint of heat at the end. The pork taco had a lot of heat and was also juicy and tender. The carne asada taco also tender and juicy with less heat than the other two. So much food and it was all delicious. This is mainly a take out place. They have a covered patio with tables and chairs. When I was there the patio area was hot and muggy inside.

The food tasted SO good and the service was friendly and quick! Looks like they're making improvements to their seating area too which is nice. Definitely would recommend!

Love this place, second time coming here but the food is always consistently good and the service is quick. Nice menu selection and seating is decent! Don't miss this hidden Mexican experience!!

    Lengua tacos!
    Mike S.

After visiting a few more times for the Lengua tacos my thoughts have been reversed. These tacos are excellent, and the sauces just bring it up another notch, I fell in love with their avocado sauce today, mind blowingly tasty! Red sauce is super spicy, another green sauce is flavorful. Place is clean and the staff are friendly. This place is much more authentic than the neighboring restaurants. I do recommend you stop in here for their tacos, there super satisfyingly great. I'll be back!

The portions are generous--we never leave hungry. On one visit, I asked about Modelo Oro, a low-carb beer. Always a great experience, and we'll keep coming back!

A large group came in and when asked for their drink order, they said waters all around. Pedro came back behind the bar and started dunking the glasses into the ice well..no ice scoop, straight into the ice. He filled 6 or 8 glasses that way with ice. Definitley a health violation. I have heard stories from other women similar to this one: About 4 yrs ago a friend and I went into dos reales for prime rib on a Friday. We had a nice dinner and I had one margarita. We paid the bill and left separately in our respective cars. I took the left onto Hwy 532 headed toward the island. By the time I got to Bank of America, It hit me, I could barely see the lines in the road, I took a right and pulled over and parked by the art gallery. I was major drunk!! I sat there for 45 minutes. My friend called and asked if I got home safe. I told him no and shared where I was and that I was drunk. He said that whenever I turned my back or went to the restroom, Pedro was pouring tequila In my drink!! I made it home safe but paid Pedro a visit the next day and told him that I control my alcohol, he does not! I didn't go back in for years. I have heard this happening to other women. Pedro seems to think he makes the best of everything and rules dont apply to him. His food is sub par and his drinks are just OK.

The meal and service were good. Pretty standard Mexican fare with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. When paying you get to use their iPad. The pre-determined tips START at 25% and go to 40. Rarely do I get a meal that's worth 30%, anywhere, and nowhere has a meal been worth a 40% tip. I havent had a meal at Paraiso that was worth a 25% tip. Yes, you can enter a custom tip. It's just so nervy to even consider asking for tips this big! The location is next to a post office, views are of the parkinglot.

This is a cute little spot that's a bit off the beaten path. It's a large space, with a separate bar and two distinct restaurant seating areas. The place was very clean and decorated with festival wall murals (plus some lovely Christmas decor). We decided to order a couple of beers and split their relleno/enchilada/tamale combo. While we sipped our beers, we munched on some chips and their tasty homemade salsa. Soon, the food arrived. I have to say, it wasn't the most visually appealing plating I've ever experienced. Everything was brown and beige. I guess you don't realize how nice a little green garnish is until you don't get one. This plate could definitely have used a little dollop of pico de gallo or some guacamole. The food was disappointingly just "okay." It was definitely the heavily americanized Mexican food that seems very common around these parts: served on a too-hot-to-touch plate and loaded with lots of cheese. The relleno was the best part of the combo. The tamale was passable and the enchilada lacked much flavor at all. The service was friendly and fast, which we appreciated. What I didn't appreciate was, when I paid and the screen gave me the usual tipping options, the suggested tip STARTED at 25%! The options were 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%. I mean, the service was good, but 40%?!?! Seemed quite over-the-top and honestly it was a little offensive (and I consider myself a pretty good tipper, usually tipping at least 20-25%). Maybe it's a minor detail, but it's still stuck in my head. I'd probably go back here again if I was in the area; but would try something different to eat.

Five months ago, on a Saturday or Sunday, my boyfriend and I had lunch at The Baked Cafe. The burgers were good, the buns were mediocre, and the fries were outstanding. There are only two booths, and we were lucky to get one. Because of this, you may end up taking your food to go or eating outside.
