I only had the torta de asada but it was SOOO good and extremely authentic. They have beets and even brought out a little tray of 4 different hot sauces. Highly highly recommend checking out. Fairly priced as well.

OMG! For years I have been searching for real, authentic Mexican food in Western Washington! This IS the place! The food is fabulous and the service is outstanding. I had two amazing Carnitas street tacos for less than seven dollars!

This is the real deal. In the apex of soft tacos. Best order here imnsho is five carnitas taco slathered in their pickled habanero salsa. Radishes and a grilled pepper. Superbe. Fresh. Tasty. The entrees are also great but are simply too huge to finish and its not the sort of food that travels well. Stick with the tacos or maybe sweet talk them into building you some sort of combo platter.

Que asco de parte de ustedes. Cómo es posible que esto estaba dentro la torta. A piece of a blue gloves, inside of my food.

This place is located at the corner of Riverside Dr. and Pacific Pl. There are also many other Mexican restaurants nearby. However, this place offers the most authentic, un-Americanized Mexican food in Mt. Vernon for the lowest price. As you enter, there's a large menu displayed on the wall behind the cashier. You order your own food at the front but they will bring it out to you. I tried the Birria and some carne asada tacos. Chips and salsa are three dollars extra. The tacos tasted as expected. The Birria only had beef and nothing else in the stew. It looked quite different from the menu picture. However, overall, the food were all satisfying.

Whoa. Really good tacos here! Their sauce is authentic. They serve horchata and all sorts of real Mexican food. Very affordable for the food and a nice place to eat. Had to wait longer than I wanted to, but the food made the wait worth it. Definitely recommend.

The food at this place is mediocre at best. We ordered a torta and burrito, there was no mayo on the torta and the burrito wasn't even wrapped. Also, the meat was overcooked.. the service was good but it was a long wait (+25 min) for our food on a Friday night. The food is very greasy so be prepared, it might upset your stomach. Overall, I'd recommend going elsewhere.

    The artwork is awesome here

Overpriced for quality of food, won't be going back. Wait time was very long due to take out orders. Tables and chairs were not clean.

The first time my wife and I came in, we shared the fajitas and they were absolutely incredible. Everything was full of flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Their homemade beans alone are worth talking about -- seriously some of the best I've had. We came back again today and I tried the enchiladas with the creamy poblano sauce... and wow. Hands down the best enchiladas I've ever had. That sauce was rich, flavorful, and something I'll definitely be coming back for. On top of the amazing food, the customer service has been top notch both times. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and really makes the experience even better. And I can't forget the real fruit coconut margarita -- absolutely to die for! Fresh, beautiful, and just as good as it looks. This place is officially one of our favorites. Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing people. We'll definitely be back!

We were seated quickly in the bar area which was much quieter than the main dining area, the decor was simple but on point and all the tables had little tulip arrangements. Our server was prompt and made excellent recommendations. I got the crispy tacos (YUM) and my husband got the enchiladas with the green sauce, the sauce was to die for! Will definitely keep this place in mind when we are back up in the area.

Two salsa bottles (salsa verde and a smoky salsa) were brought to the table. - Agua de horchata ($2.50 USD small) - good but they added a lot of ice. - 2 Enchiladas & 1 tamal combination platter (#3) ($14.99 USD) - tamale was good, enchiladas were bland. Rice wasn't hot; tasted like it sat in the warmer for too long. - Lengua en salsa verde ($16.99 USD) - beef tongue was tender and sautéed onions were nice but tiny portion. Only 7 thin slices of tongue. Nothing blew us away at EMDM. On to the next Mexican spot to try.

We tried to share menus for a few minutes, but then decided to ask for another menu since there were two of us. We ordered combos and added a grande taco which is made with a handmade tortilla so that was exciting. FYI there's not chips and salsa here like most of the Mexican restaurants. The food was delicious. Service was OK. The prices are very reasonable. It wasn't too much food which is great! No need to take leftovers home that might go to waste anyway. I'd rather have the low prices. It appeared clean inside. Dated interiors. Large women's bathroom. It's kind of a strange layout and when standing out front, looked more like apartment doors and the open sign was off. Thankfully they had a small sign next to the right door that had their hours written on it and were open.
