The food wasn't bad. Ingredients were fresh and service was decent. However the restaurant itself was FREEZING inside. Went on a cold February day and it was so cold in there that I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Turn the heat on!!!!

Got carne asada tacos there tonight and they were mostly just onions and tomatoes sadly. Quality seems to have gone downhill.

Nasty Guacamole! Like runny soup! Chili Relleno was awful. Raw green chilies with very little cheese. The Carne Asada burrito was very good.

One of the best breakfast burritos I have had only for $9. Super quick too. Eat inside, outside, or pick it up in the drive through.

Monster breakfast burritos! They remind me of what we used to get in Texas - loaded with egg, potato, bacon, cheese...so good.

The portions are generous--we never leave hungry. On one visit, I asked about Modelo Oro, a low-carb beer. They didn't carry it at the time, but after we talked about why I liked it, they decided to start stocking it. That kind of responsiveness says a lot about how much they care about their customers. Always a great experience, and we'll keep coming back!

A large group came in and when asked for their drink order, they said waters all around. Pedro came back behind the bar and started dunking the glasses into the ice well..no ice scoop, straight into the ice. He filled 6 or 8 glasses that way with ice. Definitley a health violation. I have heard stories from other women similar to this one: About 4 yrs ago a friend and I went into dos reales for prime rib on a Friday. We had a nice dinner and I had one margarita. We paid the bill and left separately in our respective cars. I took the left onto Hwy 532 headed toward the island. By the time I got to Bank of America, It hit me, I could barely see the lines in the road, I took a right and pulled over and parked by the art gallery. I was major drunk!! I sat there for 45 minutes. My friend called and asked if I got home safe. I told him no and shared where I was and that I was drunk. He said that whenever I turned my back or went to the restroom, Pedro was pouring tequila In my drink!! I made it home safe but paid Pedro a visit the next day and told him that I control my alcohol, he does not! I didn't go back in for years. I have heard this happening to other women. Pedro seems to think he makes the best of everything and rules dont apply to him. His food is sub par and his drinks are just OK.

The meal and service were good. Pretty standard Mexican fare with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. When paying you get to use their iPad. The pre-determined tips START at 25% and go to 40. Rarely do I get a meal that's worth 30%, anywhere, and nowhere has a meal been worth a 40% tip. I havent had a meal at Paraiso that was worth a 25% tip. Yes, you can enter a custom tip. It's just so nervy to even consider asking for tips this big! The location is next to a post office, views are of the parkinglot.

This is a cute little spot that's a bit off the beaten path. It's a large space, with a separate bar and two distinct restaurant seating areas. The place was very clean and decorated with festival wall murals (plus some lovely Christmas decor). We decided to order a couple of beers and split their relleno/enchilada/tamale combo. While we sipped our beers, we munched on some chips and their tasty homemade salsa. Soon, the food arrived. I have to say, it wasn't the most visually appealing plating I've ever experienced. Everything was brown and beige. I guess you don't realize how nice a little green garnish is until you don't get one. This plate could definitely have used a little dollop of pico de gallo or some guacamole. The food was disappointingly just "okay." It was definitely the heavily americanized Mexican food that seems very common around these parts: served on a too-hot-to-touch plate and loaded with lots of cheese. The relleno was the best part of the combo. The tamale was passable and the enchilada lacked much flavor at all. The service was friendly and fast, which we appreciated. What I didn't appreciate was, when I paid and the screen gave me the usual tipping options, the suggested tip STARTED at 25%! The options were 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%. I mean, the service was good, but 40%?!?! Seemed quite over-the-top and honestly it was a little offensive (and I consider myself a pretty good tipper, usually tipping at least 20-25%). Maybe it's a minor detail, but it's still stuck in my head. I'd probably go back here again if I was in the area; but would try something different to eat.

I think I've reviewed the burger before and maybe the sandwiches but today it's about the tots. Best tots in WA. Five months ago, on a Saturday or Sunday, my boyfriend and I had lunch at The Baked Cafe. The burgers were good, the buns were mediocre, and the fries were outstanding. The meal was over $40, without drinks. The owner was the only person working. After reading other reviews, we expected a wait, but over a half hour was excessive. There are only two booths, and we were lucky to get one. Because of this, you may end up taking your food to go or eating outside. I left a honest review after our experience, and the owner responded (more like reacted) quite unprofessionally. He mentioned Wednesdays; we were not there on a Wednesday. He mentioned that if we prefer "nutty" (it's Nutty's) or "five guy" (it's Five Guys), that he "felt sorry" for us. Well, I won't feel sorry for him when his business fails.
