Decently good food, they remodeled a burgerking and did pretty decent, everyone enjoyed the food. And service was good, no complaints for a good basic breakfast place.

We stopped in for a morning breakfast date. The hostess was nice and gave our drinks pretty fast coffee and water. Staff was friendly. The food was pretty good to be honest a dozen wings and an order of chicken fried steak hash browns toast and 2 eggs. Unfortunately after we were finished I still had 3/4 of my hash browns one egg and a large bite of that great chicken fried steak .The server asked if we needed a box which we said yes to and she grabbed our plates and took them. When I saw her coming back I asked where my food was and she said I put it in the bussing bin . She then said she would bring it back but it's already in the bin. And that was it no sorry or let me try to make it right. I'm not saying I wanted an entire free meal but an offer or gesture of any kind would have been nice. I will try this place again because the food was great but we will see about the rest.

Farmers Cafe serves up cozy classic American food. We have always visited for breakfast but they do serve lunch and dinner. I always get my favorite- eggs Benedict but with sausage instead of Canadian bacon. Mmmm they do it right every time! The hash browns can be a little hit/miss but we always leave feeling full and satisfied! Great service, and the delicious breakfast keeps us coming back!

Very dissatisfied. 5/10 I expected more especially with the good reviews. For the portions the price isn't valid. The ground Chuck just looked like a smoked hamburger patty which should've just been put as the description. Very little portions. This is why I hate trying new places. Total was $57. I don't mind paying for food as long as it's good and worth the price and this just wasn't it. Dennys definitely would've been better.

A very solid diner. Meats were all good. Sausages had the optimal texture and amount of burn. Hash browns had the perfect amount of crisp on top and soft underneath. Eggs were fairly over-medium like I ordered. Condiments were all available on the table. French toast came with a generous amount of spread and the entire little dispenser for the syrup. They weren't particularly busy. Service was super fast, and they refilled my coffee multiple times.

The wife and I decided to give this place a shot since they had 4 stars and came highly recommend by a good friend. We walked in and boom, there was the front counter and cooks window. Very up close and personal. We were promptly greeted and was sat at a very nice table. The place is not huge, but plenty of room. The place is clean and both the wife and I enjoyed the little sign on every table stating a meal grace. We also appreciated the little bottle of sanitizer on each table. Now on to the food. If you've read my Yelp reviews in the past, you'll know that I judge a restaurant by the Eggs Benedict. Both the wife and I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Absolutely delicious! We received our meal in under 10 minutes and it was beautiful. Plenty of hollandaise and ham. The eggs were cook perfectly. Hash browns were a nice golden brown and not too much or too little. The staff and owner have a great thing going here. We can't wait to hit this place up for lunch. Apparently the fish n chips is pretty good coming from a neighboring business recommendation. Good clean and friendly place to eat.

The menu offerings vary widely from traditional breakfasts to creative takes on Benedict's, sandwiches, sweet pancake variations and more, and the quality is decent. The drink program is pretty exceptional; their house-made Bloody Mary variations are well worth the price, delicious and spicy. And they have an entire section devoted to tiki-style drinks, including shareable "fishbowl" variations, which could be a novel way to kick off a summer weekend, indeed! Side note: the coffee is unexpectedly good. Service can be a little spotty; they could improve this by adopting a more cooperative, team-service style. More than once, we saw servers struggling to juggle inside and outside service, while their less busy colleagues checked their phones or chatted with each other. True: it's the only brunch there is here, without a long drive to a neighboring community. But they do a fair job and the prices, for now, are under control. Recommended.

I was hungry and came in for a very late lunch…read more Because I came in just before a shift change, it was a while before I could get my beer order placed. My server was very pleasant, but I can't really say that she did as well as she could've. For example, I ordered the cheeseburger and added onions. It must have sat for a little bit in the kitchen, because it was barely warm when it arrived, minus the onions. My server was at the table behind me, chatting, and very slowly taking the order of two women who must've been locals she knew. I was patient for a while, but eventually tapped her on the shoulder and asked her to talk to me when she finished taking their order. Meanwhile, my cheeseburger continued to get colder. When she finally finish baking their order, she turned me, and I mentioned that I had asked for onions on the burger. She nodded, and then she went to the bar, proceeded to restock the cooler, and did other tasks. At this point, the burger is cold. I push it away from me, and I am going to ask them to take it off the bill. I had not taken a bite, mind you. Another server comes over and asked if I would like a box. II told him it was cold, did not have the requested onions on it, and I had no interest in it whatsoever. He apologized profusely and said they are happy to make me another. I usually do not like to send back food to the kitchen, but I made an exception in this case. In a reasonable time, someone who I guess was the kitchen manager brought over a freshly cooked burger. There were onions, but they were finally diced, which I don't understand, because they just kept falling out of the burger. Why wouldn't you just put in a slice? The burger was overcooked and not well seasoned and at the end of the day, I thought the food was rather mediocre. This place gets an extra star because my original server did come over and sincerely apologize for the issues with the food. Nevertheless, it is not a place I would come back to. Maybe best left to the locals.

Relax - this is a small place with a small staff and even smaller kitchen: If you're in a rush, or the impatient type, this ain't it. But if you like to sit a spell and chat with your people as you enjoy friendly, knowledgeable staff (you're likely to be served by the owners themselves), a craft cocktail, relish a lovely meal, then polish it off with one of Jane's amazing desserts (salted caramel brownie à la mode, anyone?), then we'll see you at The Rex, because we will definitely be back! We were a large group (10) on a busy night and Jane and crew handled us beautifully. Our table enjoyed steak salads, the pork tenderloin, the chicken linguine, cod risotto, clam chowder, a Reuben (huge!), and flank steak. Dessert was outstanding - choose from Lopez Island Creamery ice cream (huge scoops), or one of Jane's scratch-baked treats (pies, key lime bars, brownies, cookies, more). The salted caramel brownie à la mode melted in my mouth. It was excellent, you could taste each component - the fudgy brownie, the creamy caramel, the occasional crunch of salt = 10/10, no notes, don't miss it. Great vibe, loved seeing so many familiar faces coming and going, so happy to have The Rex Bistro in the valley.

They had a few brunch items and their regular lunch menu. They have a full bar, several booths and tables. We shared one of their specials as an appetizer that was smoked salmon chowder, and salad. I love cocktail sauce with my prawns so I said yes, and I also asked for tarter for my fries. All of the food was delicious. The sauces too. The prawns were indeed jumbo and cooked just right. I wish I had taken pictures, but it turns out, all that I took was a picture of the receipt. It shows that I got a surprise 50 Cent charge for that tartar sauce. This is one thing that drives me nuts about restaurants is nickeling and dining people on these little things and not disclosing the charge upfront. The place is nice, clean, has a beautiful view of the lake or pond such as it is. They have an outdoor patio. The staff were really nice and there was plenty of parking.
