I heard from a friend of mine about the professionalism and dedication of this salon , and I decided to try once . I went there with my daughter because that day was her birthday . I feel pretty comfortableI because they do pedicure chairs for children ( my daughter was 4 years old ) . I did pedicure and gel medicure in here with only 2 hours for both. My daughter is very happy because she was comfortable to pick color and had flowers with no charge more. We came this salon nearly 3 weeks ago and now my nails are still good. I have never had a bad experience and have been coming here almost a year now. They only charged $55 for 3 pedis (1 adult, 2 kids) which included a nail design on our big toes. Flawless each time! Very nice atmosphere and they are very nice. Just got a gel mani for only $25! read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. Started off fine - i went in for a fill around 6 pm (they closed at 7). They pressured me to get a pedicure also and I needed one and it was on special but I asked "are you sure there is enough time?" as I wanted nail art (which takes time) and knew they closed soon. They said it was no problem. Midway through the fill, the gal who did awesome nail art said she was off and asked me to pay before she left so she could close out. While i thought this was a bit unusual, i paid and tipped generously because she had been very pleasant, easy to understand, and did quality work. She told me to have a great night and left, leaving an older guy and woman who did not speak english well. At this point, the gentleman started rushing and was very rough with my hands. I asked him multiple times to be more gentle and he sighed a couple times then before painting my nails asked me to move over to the pedicure booth which i did. For the pedicure, the older woman started scrubbing my feet and I pulled away multiple times because she was very rough and asked her to be more gentle, which she didn't seem to understand what I was saying. Two of my cuticles began bleeding during this time, if that gives you any idea how rough she was. The massage remote wasn't working and both employees ignored the fact that I fumbled with the remote for a couple minutes. When I realized the chair was not plugged in, I asked the guy to plug it in and he said, "later" which shocked me. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I made the request again and to be honest, by this point I'm confident that irritation was reflected in my voice. The guy told me that it would be hard for him to get to the cord and I said something like isn't that part of what I'm paying for? So the woman continued with the pedicure while the guy painted my nails in between phone calls from I assume his wife where his voice was raised and he said things like "I'll be home soon." "Yes, I have to finish with this GIRL" with obvious annoyance. So then we get to the nail art which was supposed to be a couple stars and stripes. The stripes looked awful but I refrained from commenting as i genuinely could not wait to leave this nail salon. (And was considering filing a complaint with the BBB, something I have never done before). For the stars, he put a dot on my nails and then smudged in four directions so they resembled messy x's and + signs. I let most of them be but asked him to redo one nail that was especially sloppy. At this point he told me he didn't have all night and that they closed 10 minutes ago, like that was my fault! So he redid the one nail, which still looked terrible, but my desire to get out of this salon overrode my desire for my nails to look nice. Once that occurred he told me I was done and motioned towards the door. I said ummm don't they need to dry and he said they were closed. I got up and left (neither employee said goodbye or opened door or offered to carry my purse to car- and nails smeared - I redid them myself at home.) So I have been racking my brain trying to think of positives and the only one I can come up with is that it appeared to be clean. Which makes sense considering it is brand new. read more

I did not like this place at all, definitely not up to my standards of a nail salon. I tried this place with my grandmother but service was slow and inattentive, luckily they took care of her better than I. I will not be coming back and will always head to my "go to" place from now on. read more

This place is shady. Their sign lists pedicure is $22, but I thought they were having a sale sign in the front for this service. But even the listed price is fine with me so I choose to get it done here. I was told it was $25 so I was ok and even tipped the girl $5. Later found out they charged to my card $30??? I guess I should have taken the receipt to make sure. If you decide to pick this place after my review, be careful with your card and ask for the receipt. $5 extra dollars is really no big deal for me but the way this place doing business is crappy. I was greeted immediately, sat down and prepped for a gel pedicure. The gel selection was limited. Waited about 20 minutes for someone to actually start my pedicure. Pedicure was done in decent time. The staff speak in their language only, it doesn't take a genius to figure out they're talking poorly of you to your face. When I selected my nail color, I didn't expect the nail tech to waltz around the room with it, showing it to her colleagues, and laughing historically. Very unprofessional in my opinion. This is honestly the worst nail shop I've ever been to!!! I feel like they ruin your nails on purpose just so you have to keep coming back in to get them fixed until the suggest you get a new set and want to charge you but only give you $5-10 off. I have been in here 3 times. The first time great. But the second and third horrible experiences. I get dip on my natural nails which took me forever to grow. The second time she put a gel coat on my nails and sat me under the UV light (NOT HOW U APPLY DIP) buy day 5 my nails were already chipping and cracking. I decided to go back and just get a new paint job and paid full price even tho these nails are suppose to last 2-4 weeks. I explained to her that whatever she did to my nails the second time did not last long and I wanted how it was done the first time. SHE TOTALLY IGNORED ME!!!! And told me it would be ok. This was a Monday I went in and by Friday day the snow storm started I was back in there. All she did was put another gel coat on top of my nails and sat me under the light. My nails bubbled up and started cracking. 5 natural nails broke right in half. I called the place and spoke to the gentleman who I explained the situation to. I told him in 11 days I paid $80 for a $35 service that was suppose to last 2-4 weeks. He assured me he would fix my nails and I would not be charged. My appt was at 615. I waited until 7pm not being acknowledged driving all the way from Auburn for him to just give me the same lady who admitted whatever she put on my nails I told her not to the second time is probably what cracked and broke my nails and she would charge me $25 to fix which is only $10 cheaper then original price. They act as thought there customers are burdens yet we're how they make their money. They double book appts knowing they don't have enough staff and don't even let ppl know where in the process their appt is. I would never recommend this nail shop to anyone even girls I hate. Okay, so... I'll start this review by saying that this is not my normal nail place. I was in town and decided I wanted my acrylics removed, so I stopped in and was happy to hear that they did that! Here's how I'm going to set up this review: first, things I disliked, then things I liked. Let's get to it! Things I disliked: 1. I felt from the very beginning like I was inconveniencing the employees here. I had three different people ask what I wanted done and when I told them I just wanted my stuff removed and didn't want a fill, I got a dismissive grunt from each and every person that asked. 2. To continue this vibe, they rushed through taking off my acrylics (OUCH) and when the person who was originally working on my nails wasn't going fast enough, another person came over to do my other hand. So both hands were being ripped off at the same time. Not really what I look for in a "spa", you know, having my fingernails yanked off. 3. Four different people worked on my hands. It felt impersonal and I don't know about anyone else, but I expect a basic level of personal interaction with my nail person like I would with my hair stylist. Maybe that's just me, I don't know. 4. The station they sat me down at was dirty when I got there, and was just wiped off with the employee's hand right when she started working on me. No wet rag, no disinfectant. 5. All of the tools in their little basket were covered in acrylic dust, so who knows the last time they had been washed or sanitized. 6. I think two of the people that worked on my hands said a total of five words each to me. The other two spoke to the other employees the whole time. 7. They filed my natural nails down to squares after I asked them to keep the length and round them. I guess they didn't hear me or something. Ok, now that I got all of that out I can get to the positive stuff! Things I liked (the reasons I gave them two stars instead of one): 1. After they had taken my acrylics off, they put on a nail strengthening base coat instead of a normal clear top coat. That was nice. 2. There was air conditioning. That was also nice because it was near 8,000 degrees outside today. 3. I overheard one of the employees talking to a customer's child and being very friendly (and apparently good at entertaining kids.) This doesn't have to do with me or my experience, but I thought I should at least say something about how this guy had the chance to ignore this child and go about his business but instead decided to entertain this little one while their mom was having her nails done. There weren't any other customers to work on, so it was just kinda a nice thing to do. My final decision is that I won't be heading back to Caesar's again, but I guess I got my $10.00 worth. read more

The only reason I didn't give five stars was because the time before this I came in with my two friends for my birthday and the three of us got pedis and full sets, there were different employees there. I felt like they kept pausing in the middle of our pedis to start new customers even though we arrived to an empty salon and were there at least five or ten minutes before the next customers. They ended up doing a kind of half-assed job at our full sets and I wasn't very happy with the shape. Also, they got acrylic beyond the nail bed and it was drying and painful to get off afterwards. This is the third time I've been here and I've found my nail artist! Kathy is great! She took her time and was very gentle, even when she barely bumped my cuticle with the filing tool she apologized and asked if she had hurt me( which she hadn't). I find that to be a big deal because I've been to nail salons where you wince and they run your hand and tell you you're fine... Not okay. Anyway, Kathy did a beautiful job with my nail shape and paint and made sure to clean up any polish she got on my fingers! I got matte black acrylics and they turned out perfect! Worst place I have ever been. SADLY I HAVE TO GIVE THEM 1 STAR INSTEAD OF 0! You walk in and it's a nice looking place so my friend and I thought it would be a good relaxing time... boy were we wrong. We planned on getting Manicures and pedicures originally. But they did such a terrible job on our pedicures that there was no way we would let them touch our hands. They broke my friends nail then put super glue on it, they were practically burning holes in her nail with the drill. The girl that did mine made my cuticles sore from hitting them with the drill repeatedly. After 6 yours my toes are still hurting. We asked to talk to a manager and refused to let us talk to one. This place is sketchy, they're unprofessional, and do not know how to treat customers. We will never be back! read more

First review I have ever written. I should be allowed to give zero stars for my awful experience. I arrived there around 5:35 for a color change on my toes and a fill. They immediately started running water and motioned for me to sit in a chair. I noticed there was a blue tab dissolving in the water and let the woman know again I just wanted a color change. 3 workers walked over and all looked confused and asked over and over, "You don't want pedicure?" It seemed like such a problem I finally said ok sure, why not. They soaked my toes for around 45 minutes while the woman watched tv and put a heater over my feet (which I've never seen before, didn't seem to work for her). I finally told her I decided to go somewhere else, I had never seen it take almost an hour to remove gel, and another woman came running over and assured me she would get it done. So she removed it all in about 5 minutes, normal time, put my feet in the cold water that had been sitting there since I got there, I didn't say anything just happy things were finally moving along. She put cuticle remover on 3 toes then wiped it off and only trimmed the cuticles on those 3. She cut me on my big toe and apologized and said it was because of my nail bed. I kept my mouth shut noticing they were closing in a few minutes (7pm) and thought to myself good, they don't have enough time to do my nails, when another woman walked over and plugged in a drill. She had me turn my upper half in an awkward position so she could do my fill while I was still getting my "pedicure" which only consisted of a sugar rub on my legs which she ended up smearing on the bottom of my pants, both legs, multiple times. I told her I wanted stiletto shape and she did them round. All the while my toes were being filed uneven and sloppy, I told her again "pointy nails" since she didn't seem to understand stiletto. I told them once again, thank you but I would like to go somewhere else. They had the man come over and tell me don't worry they will fix it so I shut up and sat there still trying to be positive. They painted my toes and with every coat they rubbed the gel light across the top of my toes and had to fix each coat when I told them again, it's okay, I have to go, I'll go somewhere else. I told her the shape was wrong, toes were wrong, I had said numerous times I wanted to go. The woman started yelling saying I told her that I wanted round and I told her no, pointy. The man came again and said its okay they will fix it, by now it's almost 3 hours later, I insisted I wanted to leave then he said fine and told the foot woman to remove my toe polish, then insisted I paid for the "pedicure", awful awful awful experience. While they were removing it I read the reviews on this place and will be researching new places from now and on! I didn't get out of there til 8! Went to creative nails this morning and they did a fabulous job cleaning up Caesars mess. Go there instead, you'll love them. Hope this saves someone the trouble. The plus for me though, is that they change the bowl liners in between customers along with using antibacterial tablets for a clean, safe foot soak. You also get a wonderful leg massage and hot towel treatment in a relatively quiet environment. Takes a little while if they're busy, but great deal for $32 Mani/Pedi! read more

I came to this nail shop only because it was closer to my house and I'll never be back. I've been here before as well and had a negative experience but wanted to give them another go...I walked in and every chair was empty ! I took that as a good sign like yes they're not busy ! Sat down and the lady doing my nails must have been new , she put way too much acrylic on my nails , which alone took her 30 mins to apply , barely began to file them before she realized I was getting upset and said something to another nail tech who then came over and finished my nails. This lady literally filed my nails for 4 secs lol sounds petty to mention but it all matters when you're particular about the way your nails look. I go wash my hands and am unhappy so I speak up and mind you they barely understand English so the communication is difficult. The young lady that sits down to polish my nails begins to file it didn't know what she was doing. I'm guessing the owner or the head nail tech over hears and sits me down and again half asses the filing which I asked to be corrected because the acrylic around my nails was still there. I said I'd pay for them the way there were being it had almost been 2 hours and I just wanted a simple fill. Right at this moment my nails look like crap. I'm someone whose been getting their nails done for years and they're my real nails so I take a lot of pride in their appearance. My original nail place is amazing. I guess this is what I get for being lazy and not wanting to go the extra few miles to my original place. I won't be back to this place though !!! read more

My sister and I came here for her birthday to get pedicures. We called ahead and scheduled an appointment for 3pm as we had dinner reservations at 5pm. We arrive shortly before 3, they immediately got us set up in pedi chairs with hot water to soak our feet. Then we waited, and waited, and waited. They finally came over and started the process of removing the gel from our toenails, then we waited some more. The pedicure itself wasn't anything special, the woman doing my toes was very rough and it was a little painful. I asked for red gel with a sparkle layer, she forgot the sparkle layer and slapped in on afterward. They kept trying to upsell us on getting a manicure, we kept saying no as we had no time, that didn't stop them! We finally left a few min before 5. 2 hours for a pedicure is ridiculous! Also their foot rest is horribly uncomfortable, i spent the whole time moving my chair back and forth trying to find a comfortable position. Would not recommend them. read more

I read the prior negative review written about this business & feel compelled to offer my long-term experience with this establishment & its staff. I am not related to anyone there, no one has asked me in any way to write this, nor do I have any other experience with the staff there (whom I have come to know for more than 9 years) outside of going to them for their nail-services. I started receiving my nail care from the owner of Caesar's as well as from some of the other "Caesar's" employees long ago when they were actually employees within another Tacoma nail salon. I was impressed by their skill, service, and attention to detail, so always requested these same "technicians"; I never had a problem with the job done by them. After some time, one of my favorite technicians was no longer there so did some "sleuthing" to find her; I was very glad to hear that with the help of her very handy husband, she had opened her own salon. She was quite surprised to see me the first time I walked in, & greeted me very warmly. I was also glad to see that a couple of the other skilled techs I had previously seen were there in the new salon with her. I continued to go there for many years and enthusiastically referred my friends and family for the expert service. Not one of them was ever sorry they went there & thanked me time and again for letting them know about the salon. It should be noted here that there were nail salons much closer to where I live; one time I went to one of those more-local shops when I broke a nail, needing a quick repair. I wound up with a disgusting fungal problem under the nail they fixed & I never went back. I gladly drove the distance back to my "nail-lady" & have never ever had such problems (fungus, etc.) in all of the years I had been a customer there. When the owners expanded their business, opening the Caesar salon on Center Street, it was much closer to where I lived! It is exclusively the ONLY place I go to have my nails done, & I go to them regularly. I came to know who the gentleman and the older lady are that were referenced in the complaint-entry. They had been with the former shop prior to my nail-lady becoming a new owner; it was wise & savvy business-sense to retain some of the staff known to the established-clientele who had been receiving nail services there prior to the new owners coming in with changes that occur as an establishment changes hands. That gentleman has worked on my nails at Caesar's & I found him to be very quiet & quite gentle, by nature. He was obviously very skilled & in all of the times that I have been there seeing him working with the various clients, I have never once seen him display any kind of rude or questionable behavior. The 'older lady' has repeatedly done my pedicures; I have never experienced--nor seen her be anything but gentle and very professional in the work being done, whether on me or any of the other clients I have seen her serve. It should be noted that she DOES understand what the clients are saying to her; I have personally engaged in conversation with her on several occasions. It is very unfortunate that this first-time client has seen fit to bash this business with accusations that I find questionable, given the alternate views I am able to provide from my first-hand experiences as one of the long-standing customers there. I am concerned that her skewed report could cause someone to miss out on the chance to meet these skilled and professional "artists" that provide such excellent services. That writer came in an hour before closing time, self-professing that she wanted "nail art (which takes time), & knew they closed soon." Her exact words. If she knew she was going to want such "nail art", she needed to come back during regular business hours that would allow for all of the time she was going to demand. As for being "pressured" to have a pedicure?? It is only good business to ask if clients need other services that can be provided as well. I have NEVER heard any of them "pressure" anyone to have ANYTHING done. And when nails are painted, I have NEVER seen anyone who was ever urged to leave before the polish was set or dry. Lastly, I have NEVER seen any client who expected ANYONE to carry their purse to their car for them. For those of us very long-standing customers who historically know the quality of service provided by this salon, the "review" posted of such a horrible experience as reported is quite simply ridiculous. It is my sincere hope that no one will fall for any of what was reported in that "review" & will instead go in to experience the professionalism & expertise the staff provides so well. You'll be very happy with the quality of their work & I guarantee you'll return for more. It is simply top-notch skill and artistry that is delivered by a compassionate and very friendly staff. You owe it to yourself to try them out. You'll be glad you did. read more
