We visited on 10/5/25 for a manicure. The lavender color and daisy art were absolutely beautiful. However, I am very disappointed that the polish began chipping and peeling off within just a few hours. By the next day, multiple nails were severely peeled (see photo). I've been going for a little over two months and have always had great results. The customer service is excellent.

Worst place ever. I gave them 3 chances and today the lady cut into my toe. When I asked about a discount she said no. Is that how you treat costumers? When I went to pay Shenandoah usually they take 5 dollars for taking off gel polish. I got my nails.done there y do I have to pay to get taking off? U guys have to take it off anyway. I went in yesterday to get design redone from another salon I had been going to for a while, but the quality had been going down each time I've gone. I showed them the reference photo I used and they asked me what I did and didn't like, making sure I got what I wanted. The girl doing my nails (I forgot to ask) even did a practiced on a fake nail to make sure I was happy with the outcome. They reassured me that I wasn't being too picky and they just wanted me to be happy with how my nails came out and everyone was so patient. All 3 people working were very nice! I even typed in the wrong address and was later for my appointment but I called to give them a heads up and they were understanding. They had baking videos playing on the screens and nice music playing (one of the guys was singing along and it was nice). It looked clean and they kept up in sanitizing as they went. read more

I'm a little frustrated with my experience. The first time I went it was a great and per the request of the man who helped me, I scheduled an appt for 2 full sets and a pedi. My pedi is almost over and a woman and her 2 children walk in and I can tell by the exchange they are regulars. There is some back and forth about how she needs to be done by x time even though all three are walk ins. As I'm waiting for my pedi to finish that same man walks over and we discuss my nails and the price. When I said the price was fine, he asked me if I had an appt. I was so confused bc I scheduled 2 full sets and a pedi and the same man confirmed it when we checked in. Then I realized it was most likely due to catering to his regulars. I won't be going to this place again. I'm disappointed in the lack of care for time management and telling walk ins they need to wait due to others who have made appts as requested be prioritized. read more

Daniel is an amazing artist AND a kind, generous, friendly professional with a servants heart. With me not from the area he assured me to take my time and be safe in my travels. He listens intently and communicates his design ideas to provide you exactly or with me, even better than I was imagining my new for fall design could be. He removed my Gel X and applied a new set, cared for my cuticles and even gifted me Rose scented cuticle oil to take with me. This place has decent paint colors but The MAN Nail Tech IS RUFFF & he does not care about you. He can't paint nails good he's just in a rush to get them done. they look like they are a week old and I just got them done yesterday! He hurt my finger sooo bad it was already hurting. If you tell him anything he gets a big attitude I hate my nails yall they are soooo thin I just can't . They aren't even changing colors because he refused to put the clearcoat over first The other ladies are good ask for Hanna she's rude but she does a good job OVERALL they are mean af like I've been going there a while if one of the girls don't do it your nails will be bad. BEST SALON IN TACOMA. I have been coming here for about a year and decided it's time to tell Yelp my opinion. I have NEVER left unhappy. The owner (the male mail technician) almost always does my nails and he is the best I've seen at shaping anywhere. I've seen the review that's he can be rough but I disagree. He's always very gentle and has NEVER caused me any pain. The other two ladies I see in here have both done my nails and they are both wonderful. AND THEY ARE SO FAIRLY PRICED. They are honest and do a wonderful job. My friend tried to bring me to a different salon and they told me $50 for a FILL and I LEFT and drove straight to this salon. Been waiting to review this GEM of an establishment, so here goes!!! My referral to this place was by the neighboring business, Precision Tune, funny right? One of the girls who works in the office raved about the pedicures they gave and I finally gave it a try when I dropped by vehicle off for a scheduled maintenance...BOY oH BOY was I in for a treat!!!! Mani/Pedi is $35 which is a great deal, considering all that is included. I like to say that I am a seasoned veteran of nail shops;) The shop is very clean and spacious, they have modern tables and chairs, all pedicures are done in the chairs. They include parrafin on both manicures and pedicures, massage and also hot stones! NO extra charge!!!! I prefer to get my services done by Mimi, who is the owner but they are all seasoned and skilled. It has been about 3 years that I have been going here now and I have a handful of friends that followed along in my devotion to this establishment. Unfortunately alot of other customers have found this gem as well, which I am happy for Mimi but it can get pretty busy and hard to get in and out. I got a gel manicure here on Wednesday (three days ago) for 25$. The next day, my lavender purple nails started turning pale green in splotches. It wasn't too noticeable so I waited to see what would happen. Today, Saturday, most of my finger nails are solid green splotches. I was told the gel would last 2 weeks, and that they would fix chips within a week of appointment date. I went in to ask for it to be fixed. First I was told the nail polish I chose (number 52 on their gel chart, "alter ego" color name) turns colors. The sample nail was solid purple. I asked to see the bottle. Surprise: it had no mention of color changes. The manicurist said it wasn't her fault and that I had to pay 15$ for new color. I said it wasn't my fault either, that I wasn't told it would turn green, and that I was promised it would last 2 weeks. One woman chimed in that 13$ was the best they could offer because it had been a week. I said "no, it has been three days." After a lot of this I was offered 10$ fix and a 45 minute wait. As a customer, I trust that you use high quality brands. I was told that my at home chemical use must have been to blame--let me tell you, my home is chemical free. I use Castile soap, and wash my hair with baking soda. I'm not exaggerating when I say my hands haven't touched chemicals. No matter whose fault it is, as a customer with a complaint in a reasonable window of time, I should be helped. It isn't fair to make me argue and haggle in front of a room of other customers, while various employees yell across the room why I'm in the wrong. Needless to say, I will never come back. They wouldn't even take off the polish. Beware: you get what you pay for, and any mistakes will be an additional cost to you! read more

I used to love this place, but last time I went I had a real half-assed experience and now have a massively ingrown nail that is requiring surgical tools to fix. My pedicure was good. I think the lady who owns the shop did it. But my mom had the black lady and complained about it being too rough. That same lady did my nails, and it hurt like hell. She also did some things to my right hand but not my left. Felt like I was keeping her from something more important. I got the heat-changing gel nails. The dark red is cold and the bright red is hot. You can see how bad the ingrown nail is because my ring finger stays red. It's been like this for 3 days. Let me start off with why I continue to come to a place that is so poorly reviewed. My nail tech, Sam, is amazing! She's very sweet and soft spoken. She is always thorough and makes my shellac french mani perfect every time. She also takes an hour for my pedi which is so relaxing due to the longer massage, hot stones and paraffin wax! Yes, the other ladies are not as friendly and always appear to be gossiping. Sometimes when you walk in they are just hanging out, eating or on the phone. Very unprofessional image. The worst thing about moving is trying to find a great pedicure! I saw the reviews on Yelp and made an appointment back in September. I've been going - at least once a month and sometimes 2x - ever since. I usually walk in and the most I've had to wait is 10 minutes. When I do make an appointment they take me right away. The $35 mani-pedi is worth at least the $60-80 I've paid in the past. They take their time to really make sure you're feet and nails are clean and healthy. Plus, they include the paraffin dip, which I love. The massage chairs are great too - and they all work! Don't expect a whole lot of conversation though. The ladies here aren't chatty - at least in English - but they completely understand what you want if you have special requests. Don't be shy about asking. And I always have flowers on my toes - they do a great job with other designs too. I've even turned a few friends into fans - they come down from Seattle for a little girl time. Parking can be tricky when the Precision Tune next door is busy but I've always found a spot. And La Forza coffee is on the other side. Perfection. read more

I hate writing bad reviews, but I'm still in shock about how poorly I was treated at Gorgeous Nails. My friend & I walked into the salon, and there was only one customer in the chair. The other 3 technicians were unoccupied. I asked for my gel set to be removed and a new one put on. A younger woman started taking off my gel polish, and then a group of three women walked in and requested pedicures. The nail gal then left me without a word to do the pedicures. She returned once to clean & file my nails, and then she left me again to do pedicures. By this time, my friend's nails are done and DRY. I stood up (with totally naked nails) and asked to pay for the removal. The woman who started my nails 40 minutes earlier did not apologize or even make an effort to remedy the situation. She just curtly replied "five dollars". That is not the way to manage customers, and my friend and I left totally shocked about the lack of customer service and basic civility. We will never return, and we will certainly tell all of our friends and family. read more

They said they won't fix it for free even though it was completely their fault!!! I hate the color, she put the colors in front of me and didn't even give me 1 min to look at all of them! Certainly doesn't look like much from the outside, and I was a little nervous about walking in. I had called & made an appointment ahead of time, and not being one to break appointments, I went in. Let me just tell you, I am sitting in the pedicure chair right now and I am having the best pedicure I have had in a LONG time. They take their time, pay attention to what you need/ want and are super nice! I haven't had a paraffin pedi I don't think ever, so I was pleasantly surprised to receive one. RUDE! I have never had such a horrible experience at a nail salon. The person that did my pedi didn't even say hello. She also cut my cuticle and it started to bleed because she was so rough. Went for an enjoyable afternoon with my mom and my daughter and these workers ruined it. During our manicure another set of people were walking in to the salon - the girls stared at them as they walked in and then started talking in their foreign language and then laughed hysterically... it was totally obvious they were saying something rude about their new patrons. I use YELP a lot but this is my first review. I felt compelled to write after this experience. Please NEVER go to this place. There are many others in UP (T Nails, Red Nail) that are so much better!
