This is by far the best Zupas we've been to in a while. Whenever we visit Utah we try and eat at a Zupas; the past few times at previous locations the food has been inadequate. We came in with fairly low expectations and were very pleasantly surprised! The staff was very friendly, and efficient ,and the food was warm, and delicious! We opted to eat inside the restaurant but there was a drive through and mobile order pick up area which we've never seen before at a zupas. The inside was warm and the decorations were very welcoming! The only reason we didn't give it a five star review is because we felt the sandwich size has changed. Otherwise we were completely satisfied with our experience. We would definitely visit this location again. read more

Good food and service, however there is a homeless person living in there making the place dirty. I have called Officer Thomas about this and he said he will not do anything about it. I would like to start off by saying that the food was really bad...my soup(SOUTHWEST POTATO & GREEN CHILI) tasted days old and had a weird color to it..the two large orange berry infusion drinks we got tasted like just straight up sugar water with lots of ice..my mango berry salad (which had very little berries) came with a mango sauce that tasted like yogurt that was left out to long..super sour and thin. My husbands brisket grilled cheese sandwich tasted off like it was day old meat..as well as the bread smelling a bit funky which sadly even the bread rolls smelled like that as well.. worst part is I decided to not eat the rest of my meal which I ate half way since it wasn't tasting right to me.(especially the drinks and soup) but my husband didn't listen to me and ate what was left of my food as well causing him heartburn(from the drink),bloating,bad gas, & a night & morning of diarrhea.. along with him I had the same symptoms just less severe as I just refused to eat the rest..we've had zupas before many times and always always loved it no matter what state or town we were in it's always been amazing food time after time but this was horrible to say the least .. and to top it all off the drive through situation is horrible as well. So many people confused on how to even get into the drive through! We almost got hit by a mini van because it parked not knowing which way to take to get to the entrance of the drive through which I is like to mention apparently it wasn't the only one confused since two more cars did the same as we were waiting for our turn. Then the car in front of us ordered and went ahead to pick up its food leaving the front spot opened for about five minutes unused while we were still ordering making it a total waste to even have two ordering stations since the other cars behind us can't get to it at all! If no stars was an option, I would've chose that. I'm not one to ever leave a bad review, but tonight 04/24 was the worst experience I have ever had with cafe zupas in Syracuse Utah. Usually their customer service is decent. Tonight it was beyond bad. Majority of the staff were openly expressing how they dont want to be here. I received dirty looks for adding on to my order, even though it costs me more. They messed up every order within the 4 people that were in line for 15 minutes. I walked in a hour before they closed and they were putting the chairs up on tables like they were already closed. I was the only one ordering and there was only one other table in the facility. From there it didn't get any better. The service was so slow along with my salad having slimy chicken, a hard avocado and no dressing on it. wouldn't recommend the Syracuse Zupas. read more

Very nice of you to comment. Waiting in line for my salad and watching the preparer shake a spoon of almond slices to ensure the customer gets no extra. Paying extra for two spoons of chicken. Go down the street to Crown Butger or Chick-fil-A to see where other restaurants do not skimp on food. A French Dip sandwich at Crown Burger has more meat than a dozen of your sandwiches. Yay! A new restaurant near home! And bonus, went there for lunch and was super surprised at how organized and well run it was for just being open a few days. I placed an order through the app, picked it up in the drive through & got home & half my order was missing. I called the store & after explaining I don't live near this location the manager said I could go to my home location & tell them the syracuse one messed up instead of giving me a refund - why would another store agree to give me free food for no reason? I explained that i'd rather just have a refund & he said they would but it never came! read more

I went here yesterday for dinner and the people were really nice. But you can tell they are still new and figuring things out. I will come back again later and hopefully it's better. I've been 2 times and both times weren't the best. My sons Mac and cheese was so gross and tasted like chowder with soup and Mac and cheese. I made sure I ordered the right thing and looked at the receipt and it said kids mac & cheese. It was so gross my son hates it. I did too I can see why he didn't want it. My Thai salad was okay missing something's on it that we're supposed to be on it. The sandwich was really good and my son's tomato soup was amazing! They forgot the kids drinks the first time and the bread and strawberries. Second time I told them that they had forgotten them and told me they would make sure they didn't this time. And they did forgot them again. So I went and let them know my son likes the bread with his soup. I'll go back when it's been a minute but other then that the people are really nice. Whoever the manager is that was there the evening of Sept 16th has an awful attitude and it obviously is trickling down through the staff. My mother in law, myself and my daughter went to this location because we usually have a great experience with great quality of food at other locations. This was not the case tonight. Immediately when we began our order we were treated as an annoyance. No acknowledgment that our order was heard and when I verified my daughter was heard about her sandwich we were barely acknowledge by the manager. At every other location I have been to, sandwiches are made when you order them. This location had multiple sandwiches that were just sitting on top of the glass case close to the cash register and it seemed it was for more time than they should have been. My daughter ordered an ultimate grilled cheese. When our tray was being put together I thought the wrong sandwich was grabbed because it was one that had been sitting there before we had even started our order, so I had informed the staff member at the cash register helping us. She was obviously annoyed and said "it's the same thing" I was like oh okay thinking maybe I was wrong. So we went to our table. When we sat down my daughter stated that her sandwich was cold. Pretty odd to eat a cold grilled cheese. The cheese had been melted and cooled all the way. It wasn't even warm. The cheese looked like wax. Absolutely disgusting. I took it up and was very kind in the beginning. I asked if the sandwich could be remade because it was cold and my daughter would like a warm grilled cheese. You would have thought I had asked the girl at the cash register to give me one of her limbs. She rolled her eyes and asked what the problem was. I explained again that the sandwich was cold and the cheese was hard. She told me in a very rude tone to hold on. Not an "I'm sorry lets get that fixed for you" or even an ounce of kindness. Im standing there holding a plate with a nasty sandwich and get snapped at that they can't take it back. I asked what I should do with it and was told to throw it away, which was fine but I wanted them to see the quality of what had been given out. Then I was told that it would be "quite a while" for them to make a new sandwich. Meanwhile the sandwich I thought was my daughters in the beginning was STILL sitting on top of the glass case. When I asked how long a while would be (since we were literally sat down and trying to eat and my daughter had a soup to go with her sandwich) and was met with " we have to get through this line and it's backed up." I am annoyed at this point with the amount of attitude. We had already waited AND PAID. So I asked if they would bring it out. She snapped back yes. Again met with the worst attitude and constant head bobs and eye rolls. I had finally had it and told the girl that was at the cash register I didn't appreciate her attitude. I wish I would have gotten her name, she was seriously awful. I have NEVER had an experience like this. Please help this staff understand that while they work in a food establishment, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO IMPORTANT. I was not rude or unkind until the end due to the lack of kindness from the staff. This was completely unacceptable, especially after spending over $60 between three people. I hope no one else has had to deal with the rudeness that I encountered over remaking a disgusting grilled cheese. I will not/would not recommend this location to anyone. read more
