This is the 2nd time I've dined at Cafe 110 West. We went on Sunday. They only serve breakfast on Sunday. We were limited, but that was fine. Everyone pretty much ordered off the menu. I love wraps so I asked if I could get a breakfast wrap ( breakfast wraps are not on the menu). Our waitress said she was pretty sure she could accommodate my request. The wrap was amazing! Everyone else at the table said their food was really good. The decor is really cool. We're talking about going back this Sat for prime rib Sat. What a gem! I travel a lot for work and I definitely do my best to avoid fast food. When I find a local diner, that's definitely a win for me! If you're not from the area, gps can be weird. The staff will actually come out of the restaurant and flag you down! Parking is easy peasy! Pretty close to the highway and fuel spot too. My mom were pretty happy to find this spot. For lunch, we split a tuna melt basket, which came with fries and slaw. We split a large garden salad too. Fresh and tasty. The fries were crisp and hit the spot! Stopped by here for lunch with Jr because of the great rating. We each ordered a burger with fries. I ordered the one with the egg on it, and Jr ordered the Buffalo Burger basket. Great service. My husband and I checked out this cute diner this week for breakfast. The reviews are so positive that I was super excited to have the opportunity to be in the area to check out this place. It did not disappoint. We were there for breakfast. I had a veggie omelet and cafe potatoes and toast. My hubby had his standard two eggs over-easy, bacon, cafe potatoes, and toast. The veggies on the omelet were fresh and it was cooked perfectly and served piping hot! The cafe potatoes were excellent and we can't wait to to go back to have them. This is the first time my wife and I visited this restaurant and we were not disappointed. My wife had a regular cheeseburger and I had the bbq burger. I learned of Cafe 110 West when they were sharing updates on Facebook on the renovations they were making prior to opening. So, they have long been on my list of places to try. Today was the day that we went for the first time. The town is charming and so is this restaurant. It's very up to date and their decor is fun. They have great taste in decorating. The servers were friendly. Our server, I wish I had gotten her name, was so nice. She immediately made us feel at home and like we were friends. We each had one of their advertised specials. My husband had the double cheeseburger basket that came with handcut fries and coleslaw. The burger was huge and delicious. He loved the sides, too. I had the 1/4 chicken dinner and it, too, was delicious. The salad bar was nice with many assorted salads and three different soups to choose from. All of this was very reasonably priced. This was worth the worth the short drive from our town to Odell. We will definitely be back again. We went back again today for breakfast. When we pulled up there were a lot of cars and we thought for sure it would be a long time before we were served and back on our way. Well, they were packed full of friendly faces. We grabbed the last table in the back room. (The counter stools were all still open). We were immediately acknowledged by one of the servers who was at the next table taking a large order. At this point, we still thought we would be there awhile. Well, we were so wrong! Not only were we waited on quickly but we marveled at how fast the food was being served. We thought lunch was good. Now we know breakfast is worth the drive, too. My husband had the skillet and loved it. I had eggs, sausage, cafe browns and an English muffin. All was delicious. Delightful waitress. I had the soup which was very good and my husband had a Fresco burger which was hot off the grill and tasty.

Definitely worth the stop if you're driving through Illinois! Cafe 110 West has delicious home cooking and a friendly staff. Just finished lunch here. Had a BLT with home made chips and a slice of chocolate cake. All were top notch. Clearly fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared and tasted great. This was our third visit today and we plan to make it a point to stop by on our biannual travels. Each time we've had generous servings of HOMEMADE food. Our favorites so far are the Italian beef and the Thursday night taco bar. Both were amazing. My husband enjoyed his BLT basket today, and commented that his sandwich was thick with bacon and the fries were crisp, hot, and homemade. Nothing special on the outside but we were driving on I-55 and checked yelp and found Cafe 110 West. Very small but wow, the breakfasts we had were great!! My husband said several times the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. The cafe browns (hash browns) were also cooked perfectly as was the bacon and pancake. We were on our way home from the racetrack in Arlington Heights and found this gem. Very nicely decorated and clean. The ladies were very nice and waited on us as soon as we walked in. I had the B & G's with an egg on top. The gravy is homemade and very tasty! My significant other had an egg, bacon and wheat toast. Which is hard to mess up. The food was great and served up quickly. We stopped here on our way from Chicago to Bloomington/Normal. What a true gem!!! Just a short mile off the highway - and if you take a wrong turn like we did, you'll get to see a historic Route 66 stop - a vintage gas station! Cafe 110 has awesome decor - brick walls and lovely artwork. Even the glasses (mason jars with creative lids) are decorative. Everyone there was friendly, and it was clear that many of the patrons knew one another. Our server was awesome; kind and helpful with the menu. The onion straw appetizer was a true treat. Our group had a chicken sandwich, egg salad and chicken tenders - all homemade and wonderful. Lots of homemade fries came along with the meals. Quick refills, impeccably clean, nice bathrooms - we could have sat there and chatted all afternoon. We are already talking about planning another time for a meal here! read more
