We read previous reviews and were wary, but our experience was good and issue free. We got our food in less than 15 minutes from the time we ordered. Granted, it is the off-season and it wasn't busy, but based on previous reviews I was concerned it would take much longer. Food was good and staff were friendly. I did not think the food was 5-star worthy, but it was typical breakfast food and was served hot. Asked for metal cutlery to eat a togo order outside because they were out of plastic cutlery. The owner made a huge deal of it with their server and when I said I was no longer interested in eating the food and wanted a refund for the poor service he called me a B in front of his Sunday morning customers. Eaten here many times. Service is always slow but that's to be expected. This time was wild though...my scrambled eggs sausage snd toast took FOREVER to come out. The other two in my party got theirs much sooner. The kicker though....one of the pieces of toast had a bite already taken out of it. Sad because this is the one of the only bfast spots in edwards, but we certainly will not be going back after this gross episode. We came here to escape the extremely high prices of the ski resorts, and was very happy with the food, portions and service! The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Love love love love LOVE this place! This is my home away from home, my favorite way to spend the few mornings off I get every month. The food is damn good, the breakfast tacos are my personal favorite but I also highly recommend the chicken salad sammie, anything with the balsamic dressing is a high win (sauce fanatic right here), the chilaquiles and the roasted pear salad. I've eaten almost everything off the menu and haven't had something I wouldn't come back for! The staff though. Woof. Makes my f****** day EVERY TIME. Annie, the manager, is hilarious and all about supporting her people and making a seamless dining experience for the guests. There are days when I'm not even hungry but I go to 163 just to interact with her for a few moments while getting a coffee. The rest of the staff is on the younger side but well trained and enthusiastic and it's so fun to watch them run around owning their space! All in all, 10/10, do it. read more

Cafe 163 is delish! We stopped in for breakfast before heading home from a girls' trip to Edwards. It was empty when we walked in so I was a little worried. Seems like we just had great timing because it got packed! The staff was really nice and the food was great. Between the 4 of us we had biscuits & gravy, eggs and sausage, french toast, and corned beef hash. We all enjoyed our food. I especially loved the potatoes. They were super crispy, almost like chips. The sausage links had great flavor and the scrambled eggs were velvety. The only issue we had was finding it among all the other businesses in the complex, but definitely not a deal breaker. read more

We were told Cafe 163 is new-er but has really good food! The pretty concierge Heidi and Yelp has been pretty consistent with great suggestions. So off we went. It was snowing hard but hunger won! First that struck me was the openess of the layout. You can see outside and yet it's very cozy inside. The front door is facing a small courtyard with a very nice view of the falling snow. We chose to sit next to the front door by the counter. Comfortable chairs and possibly the best spot to people watch. Lucked out! I had the French toast uisng a Hawaiian sweet bread with strawberries and company had the corned beef hash again! Haha! Well, we both loved our brunch. Our server was a cool dude. We definitely enjoyed our visit to Café 163. I had they breakfast burrito and my friend had the chicken salad and fries. The french fries were some of the best I've ever had. The chicken salad was a little plain but good. They were out of the bread for the French toast, so I tried the breakfast burrito. It was OK. I think my husband would've loved it, but it was just OK for me. Naenae was our waitress and she was amazing! She took the time to answer about a million questions we were asking about the menu and the food. She definitely made the experience even better. read more

Stopped in for breakfast recently. The place is clean, cute decor. Service was great, it was a Wednesday but still decently busy. I got the breakfast sandwich. It was good but nothing special. The bread was very buttery, almost a bit too much. I did like that veggie sausage was an option, but it was just a little and not through the whole sandwich. My friend is a local and highly recommended the potatoes. They were ok, she said they are usually crisper. Overall an ok local spot, but nothing too special. read more

I always stop here every Saturday mornings to get a john daily never had a problem , now i can say September 9th 2023 is the last time im eating here, food is good but service is bad, you want an alcoholic beverage you gotta have a physical ID, digital ID's from the my colorado app or DMV app are not accepted the owner didn't even let me explain ( MY PHYSICAL ID IS EXPIRED AND I DONT HAVE TIME TO GET ANOTHER ONE SO THE DIGITAL IS ALL THAT I HAVE) becuase he was rudly interrupting me, and once we tried to fix this situation he went on ahead and "complimented" my age by saying that I looked 12 (didn't know 12 year olds can grow out a beard and mustache) I even asked if he wanted me to get law enforcement to set his brain straight and still rejected, you want better food and better service I recommend craftsman brew down a few blocks, or benders across the street from this shithole, didn't know rich people eat in restaurants that look like new york apartments. read more

Arrived to Cafe 163 at 9:20 am and was told we would have a 20 minute wait. A party that was there the same time we were was sat, ate and left before we even got to our table. Was seated at 10:05 AM without a menu. We were never greeted by our waiter/waitress. No water and a party of 4 sat after us was given water. Ended up leaving after we weren't greeted 10 minutes in to being pointed towards the table we were to sit at. Cafe 163 management is awful! The poor hostess was the only one working her butt off; bussing tables, answering the phone, adding people to the waitlist, dealing with cranky customers, setting tables...the list goes on! God forbid any of the horrible wait staff or the busier himself step in to assist her. If you are going to own a breakfast establishment and be open on the weekends during the summer in Colorado...you need to do a better job at staffing and managing your staff. I will never be returning to Cafe 163. read more

I normally don't leave good reviews cause I'm an A-hole but this place is phenomenal! I was greeted by Kate's bright smile and good nature at their brand new breakfast bar. Kate promptly asked me what would I like to drink and put up with my abrasive attitude. I ordered the Eggs Benedicts. The eggs benedict was smashingly good with a great presentation! The bacon was crispy and the eggs were poached to perfection!.... Just the way I like them don't cha know. I normally don't eat the side potatoes but they were like a cross between potatoe chips and hash browns. Delicious! I would have taken a photo but it was so good I didn't have time to be "that guy" taking pictures of their damn food. (Aka DB) Again, the service was spot on! Staff was super nice and checked up on us a bunch, but the food that came out of the kitchen was just lacking.
