Stopped in for dinner last evening, made a reservation for 5:45, we showed up early and were seated immediately. We had a high top table by the bar and were able to see the tv and also all the wine that was chilled! Our server was great! Immediately came over with menus and waters for us. He gave us some suggestions and helped us pick our drinks! After we placed our main course he suggested we get an appetizer because the pork chop, due to its thickness; would take 20-35 minutes to cook. We decided on the cheese plate, and it was YUMMY! Had 3 kinds of cheese, 3 kinds of spreads and then a container of bread pieces. When the food arrived it was all delicious. The mussels were yummy, the fish was cooked perfectly, and the pork chop was cooked to perfection. We ended dinner, even though we were full, with the sorbet. It was delicious! read more

This was a perfect date night spot! We started out with the mussels which were delicious; the bread it was served with was phenomenal. My other favorite dish we had was the fried quail. Tucked away in an off beat parking lot off of any main street, you need to know about this gem to actually book a reservation. I have been coming to the area to ski for over 60 years. Always looking for great food, good value, nice wine list and interesting choices on the menu. Never disappointed! You can have a dinner for two or invite friends and family. Hands down the best restaurant in and around Vail! The service was very attentive and accommodating--the chef offered to bake their crispy ribs appetizer rather than frying to avoid possible cross contamination with gluten because I'm gluten intolerant and the server made excellent recommendations and always made sure our needs were met. Come for the views, not for the food. I may be an anomaly, but I really did not have a great experience here. To start, the staff was not friendly at all. They even looked pretty annoyed most of the time. I dined with a large party, so I got to try many different things, not one dish stood out as impressive to me except for the desserts which were phenomenal. We split a bunch of small dishes to begin the meal and they were alright, but nothing special. I enjoyed the beets and Brussel sprouts, and thought the pea pods had a weird flavor. They were all very small in size. For my main course, I splurged on the lobster risotto - very bad choice. I am pretty open minded when it comes to trying new dishes but this was really bad! The lobster was way overcooked and rubbery. The risotto was mushy and had 0 flavor. I would NOT recommend this dish. The highlights of the meal were the bread that came on top of the mussels - so fresh and seasoned well. And, the creme brûlée and carrot cake desserts. Vin48 is consistently one the best restaurant in the valley. Service is professional, attentive, and the pacing of the meal is usually spot on. One of the owners is usually present, personally seating guests and staying actively involved. The wine list is well-curated, with some lesser-known but excellent bottles, and the markup is reasonable compared to other places in the area. The menu has reliable staples and seasonal updates, (please never remove the chunky monkey). It is not inexpensive, but Vin48 one of the few places in the valley you get what you pay for - fresh, interesting, delicious food, great service and fantastic cocktails and wine. read more

Update - a year after. The service is still excellent, and the food is still creative. During summer, the outside seating area is open, and it looks great It makes the entire restaurant look spacious and adds light. It seems that, like everything else recently, prices have gone up, and this restaurant now has become pretty expensive. But there's value, and we felt we still got our money's worth. The food tastes great, and it also looks great! Note that some items on the menu are going to be on the smaller side as it relates to portions, so worth finding out before ordering. read more

Everyone we come to Beaver Creek we dine at VIN 48. The food is consistently solid, the drinks delicious and the ambiance warm with a hip edge. Last night we enjoyed the brussel sprouts with raisins, chicken fried quail on a tangy bed of coleslaw, pasta bolognese and delectable mussels in a rich garlic broth a buttery toasted focaccia. The portions are generous, but dessert looked so good we shared the homemade chocolate gelato topped with melted marshmallow (!) and chocolate crumbles. YUM!!!! We can't wait to return. Loved being able to experience dining in a yurt. We we're able to walk here from the resort we we're staying at which was also super convenient for us. If we needed assistance at all, all we had to do was pull a light switch that would let them know we needed something. Our server was pretty attentive though so we only used the light once. Started with a bunch of different entree's but I only tried Three Cheese Agnolotti which was delicious. Had to google Agnolotti before I ordered it though. For dinner I had one of the specials which was the pork chop. Super yummy and cooked just right. I would say my favorite part was definitely the dessert though. Sat in the "window". Nice compromise on a warm night between inside and outside. No Happy Hour since 2020 which is a bit of a disappointment. The $9 white wine from Italy was surprisingly refreshing. When we come to Beavercreek, Vin 48 always is part of the vacay. I love the atmosphere and staff are always fab. I appreciate the large wine list, but I caution to check your tab. We were charged $96 for a bottle of wine when the menu said $84. I noticed another table had an issue with their tab as well. I do not feel that it is intentional and more of a housekeeping issue. When you walk in, a very soft feel and lots of natural light. Overall, all of the food we got was delicious. We all wanted various sizes of meals based off hungriness level and our waitress helped guide us. Their wine list is exceptional and a wide variety. The sommelier was phenomenal and helped us a choose a bottle in the range we wanted to spend and was able to provide a flavor we wanted. Wow! Best meal we've had in a very long time. Everything was great from start to finish. We had a tomato salad with local tomatoes, broccolini, mussels (with amazing focaccia), and a cod dish in a curry broth (which they split for us). 3.5 stars Food was solid but at times it felt like it was trying to be something more than what it delivered. Not going to be boundary pushing food, but it's a solid, nice dinner spot in Avon (great service, beautiful plating, classy atmosphere). We got: Roasted Beets & Fried Goat Cheese - salad was refreshing - the beets are thinly sliced and then hidden below a pile of lettuce on which sits a ball of goat cheese. Serrano- Cilantro Cured Salmon (on latkes) - yummy but not as mind blowing as some of the other reviews led me to believe. Sautéed Knapp Ranch Mixed Mushrooms - This was a surprise winner, I liked the balance of the mushrooms against the fennel-cauliflower puree, and the sweetness from the fried onion. I did wonder at times if there could have been a better way to cook the mushrooms to make them even more meaty / umami but that was a minor quibble. Smoked pork special - Wasn't expecting this to be pulled pork with a more tomato-y / ragu sauce, and ended up not being a huge fan. read more

Unique menu and innovative preparations. The chicken liver mousse is extraordinary. The pear and burrata salad was fresh and tasty with a generous covering of the cheese. The chicken Marsala was a surprise. The chicken was presented in a Marsala broth rather than a sauce or gravy and it was delicious. The chicken was exceptionally succulent and was covered with lean, crisp slivers of skin and served over flat wide pasta noodles. I really enjoyed it. For dessert I recommend the S'mores, especially if you love chocolate. Three scoops of dense chocolate gelato are served over a thick fudge sauce and topped with a generous marshmallow swirl and a gram cracker cookie. It is large enough for sharing. Very attentive service. Extensive cocktail and wine list. Popular, so make reservations. read more

We did the yurt experience during winter and it was magical. They have thought of everything.....light to signal a waitress if needed, Bluetooth speaker, heaters, magical ambience...The food is outstanding. They accommodated our dog and brought filtered water This was one of the only locations that called pre reservation to discuss the outdoor dining situation and in the end only 2/4 restaurants that ended up accommodating a dog although I selected outdoor dining on each reservation. The food was delicious! We were actually here on our honeymoon and the host brought us two glasses of Prosecco to celebrate, which of course was a great start! For apps we order the fries and the cheese plate. As far as cheese plates go, it was pretty good--nothing crazy. The fires were delicious! We would go back just for those. For mains we ordered the mushrooms with polenta and the bison gnocchi (special). The bison was seriously incredible! It should be a permanent member of the menu! My husband almost ordered a second one. The mushrooms were good as well. Not as special as the bison, but still good. The wine list is also expansive and reasonably priced. Fancy date spot for the win. Vin 48 has a wonderful atmosphere and attentive staff. All of the dishes we tried were flavorful. To start we shared the beet salad, it was light and refreshing but not remarkable. The best part of it was the grown goat cheese which made the dish wonderful. Next we had the grilled shrimp small plate and small was the key here. $16 for three shrimps, tasted great but do not order this if you are hungry.
