It it just okay Food was fine if you need something quick and easy it good for you. My son and me had the sandwiches they fine but hard to bite into. My wife had the tuna bowl nothing bad about it but she's had better. We all had the shrimp and they were great prefect flavor. The waiter wasn't rude but forgot about drinks. Probably just a mixup. Love the ability to make a reservation right here on the Yelp app! There as even a reminder feature via notifications (if you opt to enable them). The menu is large and if you go at brunch there's a complete breakfast and lunch menu to choose from. We arrived an hour or so before closing and both chose mostly items off the breakfast menu (French onion soup, breakfast tacos, biscuits & gravy, and a vanilla latte). The space was large and clean which we appreciated. The food was very disappointing and lacking in flavor- even the latte tasted off. Super big bummer as my partner had fond memories of dining here in years past. We'll be sure to find another spot to dine next time we are in the area. read more

Terribly disappointing. I saw 4.1 stars and lots of reviews and was sure it would be great. It was not. Service was fine: quick, friendly, though not terribly professional. Food was utterly average. Their bison queso nachos are just their bison chili with a hunk of cheese plopped in (the pico was very bad). The filet was perfectly cooked, but I could tell it was a cheap grade meat. The other dishes at our table were also average. One exception: the beet and strawberry salad got high marks from those who tried it. In short, you can do better elsewhere in Vail. Tip: avoid the restaurants that are part of a hotel. I ignored my gut on this one and regret it. read more

Great food!! Not the blow-my-mind out of the world great, but delicious, filling and lives-up-to-its expectations kind of food. I was looking for a restaurant where we could walk in and get seated. Westside cafe uses Yelp for their wait-list and I think we got lucky showing up when we did (8:40 am on a Sat), as there was no wait. Within about 20 mins though, there was a wait-list. The cafe has a cafe in the mountains feel - wooden architecture with pictures of mountains and skiers. They have the same metal mountain cut outs that I have at home! The servers are nice and there is decent parking right outside the cafe. For the cold loving people, you have seating outside too. We ordered the Chilaquiles, dirty Biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast, with a couple of cups of Hot Chocolate and Freshly squeezed orange juice. Of the three, the Chilaquiles were the best - spicy, crunchy, great balance of eggs and cream with the spicy sauce, and avocado slices to top the whole thing off. The biscuits and gravy, and the avocado toast were also very good, but not as good as the Chilaquiles. The hot chocolate was excellent as was the orange juice (very fresh, you could taste the pulp). Pricing wise, reasonable for Vail. Gorgeous views outside! Highly recommend! read more

Our first morning in Vail, we walked over to the Westside Cafe and were pleasantly surprised at how great this place was. First thing, hot coffee, refilled several times - not many places get that right, just sayin'. From the everything bagel & lox to the eggs benedict, avocado toast and chicken and waffles, each dish was filling with great flavor. These guys know how to make breakfast. We wound up visiting a few times during the trip, that's how good it was. If you're in Vail and looking for a good breakfast, this is definitely the place to go. read more

When I was a kid, my folks and I visited a dude ranch for lunch and a show. The thing I remember most were these half-dollar size rock hard biscuits. The biscuit today was bigger, but nearly as hard. Since I ordered the Biscuit & Gravy (despite the menu title, it's a singular biscuit), it was particularly disappointing. The accompanying eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and coffee were great, as usual. So why the four stars? We come to Vail most years, and everything else we've ever had has been great. My wife and I both tend to get the breakfast burrito. It's huge and the green chile stew on top is to die for. It would have been too much for all the stuff we have planned for today, thus the B&G. The service is always excellent here. Despite it being a Sunday morning, we were seated quickly, and our server was great. Please don't let my one poor experience dissuade you from coming. Just get something that doesn't have a biscuit. read more

It's a nice traditional breakfast joint compared to all the boujee crap in Vail. The prices are a bit high for the serving size, but it's Vail. The B&G and CFS were $20 each and glass of OJ was $8! Charming little Breakfast Spot in Vail This place is a gem! They've got a dog-friendly patio, an extensive brunch menu, and some of the biggest Bloody Marys you'll find on this side of the mountain. Pancakes are excellent, and there are plenty of other menu options to explore. Service was attentive, even with a busy crowd--which is to be expected since it's attached to the hotel and bustling on weekends. We were impressed by how welcoming they were to our dogs, keeping them hydrated and spoiled with attention. Grabbed a seat on the beautiful outdoor patio which was framed with flowers and a gorgeous view of the mountains, Aspen turning gold. Got service with a smile, promptly poured coffee, with lots of menu items to choose from. They have gluten-free and vegetarian options. Possibly the best breakfast I have ever had and this trip to Vail it was my favorite meal! I had the House Smoked Salmon Bene. I actually took a picture of my meal. Crispy hashbrowns, perfect eggs. In high priced Vail it is great to have friendly service, creative menus for breakfast m lunch and dinner, excellent and attentive service, free parking and all at very reasonable prices and even has its own frequent diner program. What more could you ask for? If you want expensive food, stodgy wait staff, boring menus go elsewhere. WS Cafe is a real gem. They can be very crowded so they joined yelps no waitlist program so you can avoid long waits. Came in for lunch on a Friday just before 1pm when we were in Vail for the weekend to celebrate a family members wedding. The waiter Araen was very polite and attentive throughout the meal. He filled our waters and did a great job even with a mostly packed restaurant (a downpour started shortly after we arrived). I ordered a upslope beer and it was very tasty. A refreshing way to start a vacation weekend. My wife asked for no cheese on the Yard bird sandwich and it came as requested. The chicken was crispy and definitely a good sized piece served along with lettuce. Unfortunately the French dip was not up to par. The meat was overcooked and the au jus was so so so salty (coming from someone who adores salt and uses it more than I should admit) I asked and paid extra (0.75) for sautéed onions. I didn't really see or taste them so a bit of a downer on an extra charge item. My tater tots were delicious as were my wife's French fries. Overall a good meal. Just not the amazing one I have come to expect from Westside Cafe. read more
