The Cafe is located in typical downtown shell space and has been "updated" with 1950's décor. I arrived before lunch so no cooked foods available. Typical coffee selection and my espresso was good and average experience. Blueberry muffin was very good. Blueberry scone and biscotti also available but not tried. The staff was attentive at counter service but not overtly friendly. Place was empty and little traffic between 8-9 am on a Monday. read more

Found this fun, quirky restaurant on Yelp. It was 5 minutes to closing time and they graciously let us in. So happy they did! I had the pimento/white cheddar grilled cheese with the tomato soup. Yum! One member of our party had the chicken salad and one had the grilled peanut butter, banana, honey & bacon sandwich. Told you it was quirky! Kudos to the owners who were there working. I wish that I had come to the Cafe for lunch instead of breakfast. I was uncertain what was available, being new in town, and, unfortunately, found those working rather unhelpful in terms of explaining what they offered. I ended up having a soy latte, which they were uncertain about being able to make, and a rather doughy whole wheat bagel. The only topping offered, after I asked, was a glossy, aluminum tub of everyday cream cheese, hardly enough to moisten even half of the bagel. The coffee held up in quality, but I will probably not go back again for anything other than coffee. And, I will bring the New York Times crossword. I enjoy talking with locals when I travel, but friendliness was definitely at a premium here. Maybe just a bad day? Addendum: The owner e-mailed me and explained what may have happened that day and invited me to revisit during lunch, their main draw besides the coffee. Very helpful and sweet. I have since gone back for lunch several times and enjoyed the simple but fresh fare. Nice people trying to make a go of it themselves. Best wishes. read more

Hung out here while my wife was taking an art class at the Gum Tree Art Museum. Coffee and biscotti were excellent. Decided to stay for lunch and the food was fantastic. They were doing an incredible amount of business and all of the customers seemed to be having a great time. I will definitely eat here again. read more

I eat lunch here give or take about once a week! A true Tupelo staple loved by many locals. Their chicken salad (both savory and sweet) is delicious, and my favorite sandwich is the TCB Grill. On Fridays they have the casserole as the special which, if you've never had it, get yourself over there ASAP. Man, it is good. Coffee is great too. And don't forget to finish off your meal with a piece of the chocolate chip pie!! Just writing about it makes me want a piece. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars. It was clean and hoppin', my veggie panini was grilled just right, my cappuccino was delicious, the staff was rad, home made biscotti and other baked goods, it was just the best way to end a very long overnight haul from Texas. Made it through Baton Rouge without a problem but holy lord those people are terrible at driving cars in the morning. Everyone in the group spent the whole time raving about this place as we were there, it was great. One thing I would point out is there doesn't really seem to be a lot of solid places to eat at around here so you should probably just start living down in the basement at this place so that you can just wake up, come upstairs, eat the food, go back downstairs, sit and quest some baldurs gate on your iPad. You're not sure how you feel about this new paladin you met in Amn, seems like a total jerk but last night he told you in a dialogue prompt that his Mother died and he wanted to become a knight, that's sort of endearing. read more

This cafe came highly recommended to me as a place I had to go to if I was in the Tupelo area. Well here I am. We had the white cheddar pimento cheese and the moonstruck mushroom grill. Both were excellent and according to the owner are two of their best sellers. We also had a side of potato salad. The white cheddar was on toasted bread which made the cheese slightly melt. It was very, very good. The moonstruck was a vegetarian sandwich which any carnivore would have loved to eat. The potato salad had dill and bacon among other ingredients. It was a very tasty side to be sure. The servers and cook were helpful and paid attention to our order and to whatever we needed. We met the owner who is affable and it was a pleasure to talk to him. He gave us a sample of his chicken salad which again was "off the charts" good. One warning about this little cafe: if you ever eat there once, you will be going back! read more

Hands down the best place to eat in downtown Tupelo. Every sandwich I've had is delicious. Their Chicken Salad sandwich with apples is to die for. No matter what you order, you will be delighted. I eat here 2-3 times a week. The white cheddar blt is one of the best sandwiches you'll ever have. I've never had anything there I didn't like. They also have a great coffee shop in the back that I frequent. If you stop by, order a sandwich called "The McAnally." It's excellent. read more
