Simply wanted a snack during my travels. Got a few surprises from this truck stop cafe. The meatloaf is a oven-baked sweet and sour sauce, not ketchup. The cheeseburger macaroni was very mild. Not heavily spiced. A pleasant surprise not being overpowered by cheeseburger taste. I must remember to stop here again. Reasonable prices, friendly employees and dumb souvenirs for the traveler to collect. read more

Very unassuming spot. Fed six people for $38. How is that possible? The pancakes were soooo delicious and had a little crunch to them as well. Food isn't too spicy or salty and actually has great seasoning. I'm pretty sure their ranch is homemade and it's better than the stuff Jimmy Johns cranks out. Chicken tenders are homemade and definitely fresh. Kids loved everything. Junk Yard dog is what my oldest son got and he loved it. Patty melt was simple but done right. All grilled onions and beef and buttered toast. We are weary from traveling but this place hit the spot. There were out of a few items but we were pleased overall! There isn't a sign outside on the highway side so you know it's there but just go on inside the gas station and your nose will lead you to it! read more

One star is generous. Ignore all reviews. They have to be fake. This place is gross. The chicken tenders were so old and dry I couldn't eat them without a guzzle of soda to wash down each bite. They did a great job opening a can of green beans. No seasoning. No flavor. And the meal deal came with a stale roll. We ordered a ham and cheese omelette. It arrived dripping in scorched oil and bits of overly salty ham. It was topped with an off brand slice of Kraft cheese product. Every single item was gross. And I don't know how much the chicken tenders were but this delightful meal from Hades cost us over 17 dollars. Please don't go here. You will regret it. read more

I originally had 5 stars and a nice review of this place up. Last time I was here I ordered two Philly omelettes and an order of bacon. It was delicious. This time I go to make the same order and I'm told it's not on the menu so they can't do it. Yet they have both a Philly and an omelette on the menu. They do do wings however. Even though they are not on the menu, but an order is 6 wings and each wing is a dollar a piece. I won't ever be back to this place. read more

Hidden gem with Huge helping of Southern Hospitality for ALL customers! Best home cooked meal in a long time! Cheesy Comfort food Chicken spaghetti, Thick Salisbury steak with brown gravy and mashed potatoes were amazing! But the green beans (sigh) . . . Extreme seasoning and never tasted Green Beans this good! Jalapeño corn bread would be pictured but I ate it all! Husband got "real" Ham (hand carved/cut by chef) and cheese omelette with thick, buttery, hot southern grits! Clean, bright, happy atmosphere! Did I mention staff was phenomenal! Been stopping here for a few years whenever we come through this way. Food has always been good. The fried livers are good if you like liver. The beef philly sandwich is awesome! Really can't go wrong with food here, made fresh, have never had an issue. If you come on a day they have the peanut butter cake slices out, get one or more! So good! Well, 5 months later, stopping at the fuel station to fuel up and grab a bite for the road. Got the usual, the philly sandwich, good as usual. A bit busy this evening. Took awhile to place my order. Patty melts, grilled cheese, chef salad, grilled chicken or philly steak sslads, etc. A step up from typical Gas station fare but decor a little too sterile to enjoy comfort food. Everything was hard surfaced except the seat backs - tile walls and floors, no pictures. A tv at one end with the volume down - thankfully. Next time will try breakfast. French toast, 2 eggs, bacon or sausage $5.49. Alot of other options and they have grits. Yay. Chicken spaghetti was good. Place was clean, service ok. Sorry for the not too organized review.
