This was my first time at the location and the food was amazing. I meant to take another picture of the inside, but after the first bike it was over. The area outside is extremely well kept and the inside is Just as clean. The service was immaculate, both gentlemen running the store Today were extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating. Super tasty Acai bowl! They use Acai roots which is delicious, but they have a good portion size. You can choose a good amount of fruits and toppings, but since I didn't get fruits, he gave me a discount. It seemed like they actually care about the customers having a good experience. It's not the fastest service, but it is prepared with care! Great choice.

Upon arrival I was greeted, I came around 8pm the gentleman at the register was very informative and patient with me since it was my first time here! I will say absolutely delicious and friendly service will be coming back for sure! He gave me a creme puff sample and chefs kiss absolutely delicious thank you!! I went to this place cause I saw they have kunefe the Turkisk dessert but they didn't have it when I was there. They told me to sold out fast . Açaí bowl is good. You can customize your bowl or choose the one they have. I love the one I ordered. I ordered mine without banana and I saw in the menu that there are blueberries but when I take home, I didn't see the blueberries. That's the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. If they run out, they should have let me know and I'm okay with it. Inside is nice, small. I like that they have the sand to do the Turkish coffee. So cool.

i've came here some times before and i've gotten the acai bowls and it's one of the few places i love getting acai bowls from. this time i was craving a crepe and i ordered the kinder nutella crepe, the crepe was stuffed generously and very delicious. the staff are very nice and willing to explain their menu if you have any questions. i also like how they offer seating inside and outside. overall whenever i'm in the area i definitely make an effort to come and enjoy a sweet treat :))

Had to try this place out it's a hidden gem. They have healthy açaí bowels and shakes, juices, and sweet crepes. The place is clean and cute vibe. Music was great and the service 5 stars.. I ordered the Nutella crepe which was made with strawberries and bananas. They even give you a small scoop of vanilla ice cream... Great size to share and price was very fair.This was the best crepe I have ever had .... A must have.. Check them out.

I mean, your menu is delicious but come on guys, you're making yourselves look bad when "hinting" for a 22% - 45% Tip. I posted this on my socials & people were shook & were laughing their eyeballs out. (Specially for it being a business that's not full service dine-in.) We came across this place for hearing about it from our friends. The first time we tried we had the Nutella Crepes. They were overloaded with COLD Nutella, dry Mixture and it was just a mess. Time goes by and we decided to try some other popular items. We tried the kinder and pistachio waffle. They were also OVERLOADED with Nutella. And yet again a dry waffle. It's the same exact taste. And the sad part is it was $8.99 for a small waffle overloaded with chocolate. Every bite we took our mouth was covered in chocolate. And don't get us wrong, we LOVE chocolate but this is way. too. much!!!!! So overall I would not get their desserts. We haven't tried their shakes yet but i doubt we will be going back. Pricey and not appetizing! read more

Obsessed with this place!! I come here at least once a week and love how convenient it is being so close to my home. There's finally a crepe place in the El Cajon area. The guy Kevin is always very nice and has great customer service! My sister, friend and I came in 5 mins before closing and they were still welcoming us in and offering to take our order! They are very busy so be patient for the minor wait, it's well worth it! I love their kinder Nutella crepe and Nutella shake! Definitely recommend this place to everyone! read more

So disappointed. Took them 45 min for our order (a strawberry banana smoothie and açaí bowl which should take no more than 5-10 min to make). It was a rainy day and not very busy. Finally they handed us our order (without acknowledging our long wait or apologizing) and it was wrong. They made a mango smoothie instead of strawberry banana. We had to wait another 10 min for them to make a new one. Practically 1 hour for a basic order. Smoothie was decent and the açaí bowl was good. Management needs to hire better, more competent staff. Won't be going back & not recommending this place. read more

It's nestled in a modest plaza surrounded by Persian, Japanese, Mexican, Habit Burger, Starbucks, and a Sports Bar and Grill .... If you can't make up your mind on what to eat, you've got plenty of options. The service is great in my opinion ... I think one of the times I went, I wanted to make sure there wasn't any melons in my fruit cup, and they went above and beyond. Esp now, I think they've adjusted the menu too so it's a lot of pomegranate, strawberry, pineapple, mango, etc. It's a fun place and it's always busy, I highly recommend it!

Why have a "loyalty program" when they add points then reverse it later that same day. I went today and ordered my usual 2 burgers, fries and drinks. I gave my phone number for the Points. I then asked Vieann H (who identified herself as the manager) when I showed her my receipt from last time I visited and questioned why they reversed the previous points and why I got none from this receipt I produced. She tried to act like it was my fault I received no points and couldn't tell me why the points were reversed from the previous visit (even after she went back in the office to do the research. She told me when came back from the office, she could see all my order history but she couldn't give me back any points from my 2 previous visits. I told her this will be the last time I come and she is losing a customer over 29 points. SHE COULD CARE LESS. Her response to this was "I went in the back to do research". Beware! They don't even deserve the 1 Star I had to give them.

I tried the nutella kinder crepe. I honestly didn't like the chocolate topping. I thought it was too sweet to my liking. The crepe itself and the fresh fruits inside tasted amazing, it's just the chocolate sauce on top that I didn't like. I also hoped to see drizzles of nutella sauce on top instead of the milk chocolate. I would only suggest that you add nutella sauce ( not a lot) on top and not the milk chocolate. The cashier gave me an oreo shake sample. I did like it but I feel like if you add more crushed oreo cookies and 1 teaspoon or maybe a tablespoon of black cocoa powder (on amazon), it will enhance that cookies and cream flavor cause I could barely taste any in the sample. I'm giving 5 stars for freshness, cleanliness, and great customer service. read more

I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Café 88 was extremely disappointing. The service was slow and inattentive--even though the place wasn't busy, I waited nearly 20 minutes just to place an order. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and bland, definitely not worth the price. The coffee tasted burnt, and the staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than helping customers. I expected a cozy, welcoming vibe but left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Before Cafe 88 was established, I would buy my açaí bowls from another place which are nothing compared to the best açaí bowls I've ever had from Cafe 88. All of their food items such as their smoothies and desserts are absolutely amazing. I've been coming here since they opened and the customer service has always been excellent. I highly recommend coming here and grabbing an açaí bowl or any other food item which you will very much enjoy and want to come back for more! read more

Service is very slow. Even if you order ahead they won't make your food until you get there. There were three people working only one was making the bowls one at a time while the other two were cleaning... the place is clean no doubt about that, but will that matter if costumers stop coming in? This has already happened two times, so I figured I needed to let other people know. XOXO fruits down the road are much quicker, maybe give that a try read more

If you ever want a good desserts or drinks you should come here. The classical crepe is really good and it tastes really good. They make it fresh every time and it does not take long at all. The customer service is really good and the workers are super friendly, they ask if the food was good and they are not rude. The best açaí in all of San Diego. I have personally explored every açaí location in San Diego, but this place is top notch!!! The açaí is outstanding, and they always use fresh fruits.
