    Spinach Chicken Wrap

Recommend the spinach chicken wrap as it is generously made with chunks of chicken, lettuce, tomato jalapeño, and melted cheese. Great Service!

Hidden place as you can't see from the street due to construction in the area. Delicious Fruity juice drinks.

I've been coming to this location for about 5 years and I have never had a bad experience. Their veggies are always fresh and crunchy and the fruit is always perfectly ripe. Everything they make here is bomb.. long live fruity loco!

Cold treat at work. Heck yeah!!

Tucked away in a older strip mall next to Caesar's Pizza. Is a bright spot on Campo Road that needs to be highlighted. With a menu of cold treats to tasty tortas. It's an area I have lived in for years but just recently discovered Fruity Loco. It just shows you good things are just under your nose. You just have to look. On a lunch break, I wanted something on the lighter side. Working a long shift on a hot day. A burger or burrito would of been counterproductive. So the search was on. Luckily I saw Fruity Loco across the street. Upon entering, I was greeted with a friendly Hi and some familiar tunes. I already had what I wanted in mind; two large chamangos. Before you know it. I was in and out. A perfect lunch spot if your pressed for time. The chamango itself was delicious. Very hard to explain unless you had one. Let's just say it's like a Jamba Juice but hundred times better. With bits of chewy chamoy and pieces of mango. After I felt energized, satisfied but not weighed down. Overall, a great place for a quick drink and/or a bagel or nachos. Next time I visit. Going to try their tortas. Support local businesses especially the good ones. Fruity Loco is a bright spot on Campo Road you need to go to. Eat here.

The service is so loving and patient and the food and drinks just hit the spot ! I love this place and I try to only come here to get my fresh squeeze juice . The location is going under construction but they are still there . Even if it looks hidden

Such a hidden gem! They have the freshest fruit bowls and delicious smoothies. It's very clean and the staff is welcoming!

    Large Acai Bowl

This little fruit shop is really nice! It's tucked away in an outlet mall. I ordered the Acai bowl - they covered up the 'medium' option so what was left was a large for 9.99. They use Acai Roots sorbet for the base, and on top they add honey, coconut flakes, granola, strawberry, and banana. I asked for light honey because I prefer less 'sweet' on top. It tasted great! They do tack on a .99 charge on top of a credit or debit card transaction. The fruit was very fresh, they have outdoor or indoor seating as well. The cashier was friendly. It's nice to have a place close by that's open on Sundays, I'm eager to try their smoothies.

A piece of the purple plastic I found in my less than decent sandwich.

Krystal- it IS the correct location, right next to Little Carsars and the laundry mat, i'm sorry as a customer I have no reason to lie on a business. In fact there was a hispanic lady and a teen inside who helped me. If the sandwich was beyond great I woukd definately leave a review and less than the same. But unfortunately the sandwich was very sad looking , I mean I have no problem paying for a quality sandwich, in fact I rather support small business than a large chain. Anyhow I know where I went. Thank you ma'am

Ask the Community - Fruity Loco

    Do you take EBT?

Yes, we do accept EBT food and cash at this location. If you are paying with food, it must be a cold item cannot be hot unless you are paying with cash. Example if you ask for an ebt sandwich we can make it without toasting the bread with cold meat…

Is there a charge for fruit in smoothies or a restriction on how many fruits you can have in a smoothie?

Good question. You may have up to 2 fruits for free and every additional fruit would be 75 cents. There is no limit on the amounts of fruit you add.

If you're hungry, these sandwiches will not disappoint. The only miss for me was their BBQ Chicken Sandwich. [Grilled chicken breast, sweet barbecue sauce, melted provolone cheese] I was expecting bold, smoky BBQ flavor, but it was surprisingly sugary sweet and didn't stand out from an average bbq chicken sandwich. It wasn't bad, just only memorable because it was southern sweet tea sweet and not as tasty as the other items.2/5 stars The Down side.. Ordering time and Price $$ & BBQ Chicken Sauce. Gourmet prices for a 8 inch sub, and that BBQ chicken sandwich take away 2 stars for total experience. THE LIQUOR STORE The attached liquor store was an amazing addition with an impressive selection that honestly could make BevMo blush. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help. I met Chilean aka Chillin and he had many suggestions and nearly everything I was looking for--except my favorite Sandeman ,10-year 20-year or 40-Year Tawny Port or Sandeman White Port. No worries though, because the tequila, whiskey and Gin I wanted that evening were well stocked and easy to find, and well priced. 4/5 stars for no Sandeman Product in the entire store. When you see the entire store front packed with City Workers enjoying their meals...IT'S A MUST TO STOP AND TRY THEIR FOOD! That speaks volume in itself! I just love "MOM AND POP" locations! Watch out other sandwich chains out there cause Grove Grinder IS WHERE IT'S AT!!!! They have been in business since 1972...NUFF SAID! I ordered the Ann Special with everything on it. They do not skimp on meat and the proportion of bread to meat to veggie ratio is spot on! A full size sandwich is enough to feed two people easily or one very hungry person. I'm a little heartbroken about this because I had a 5-star review drafted up for this place that…read moreread: "Grove Grinder is the GOAT of neighborhood sandwich shops. Over the years that I've been coming here, I've been pleasantly surprised to find that the quality, portion size, and price point has kept pace with inflation and remains the best sandwich option in East County." I'm certainly not the longest-running customer of this spot, but I have been coming to Grove Grinder ever since I moved to the area four years ago. I kept coming back, wrote rave reviews in San Diego food-related social media groups and threads, bugged food influencers about them, and sent many of my friends and family their direction because I was that big of a fan. My husband and I have taken these sandwiches on roadtrips and plane rides, grabbed them in the middle of household chores, and picked them up for each other when the other is too tired or sick to cook. The reason why I'm ultimately knocking this review back and heavily questioning whether I should return has to do with a disappointing experience from my last visit with my husband that we now think was part of a larger pattern. The past couple of times we saw this person at the register, we used my name for the order. This time, though, my husband gave his name instead and the person at the register gave him some attitude about it and asked "You're *really* going with that?" I don't understand what their problem was with his name, but both the person in the front and the staff in the back refused to use it. They called out everyone else's names (and they usually call out mine when I order) and we noticed that our sandwiches were looking skimpy compared to how stacked we know they can come. My husband uses a nickname that might not be the name he was given at birth, but is a name he has used for over 20 years and might as well be his "real," name. We don't want to make assumptions, but most of the staff has always been at least a little cold towards us at best, slightly rude at worst, and even though this experience might seem relatively small to some, it's ultimately the straw that broke the camel's back. We suspect that their distaste for us might be politically motivated. We know it can't be personal because we've been nothing but polite. It sucks, but it seems to be that if they perceive you to not be "their people," your money isn't as green at their establishment, even if it spends all the same. I loved this place and felt lucky that they're close to my house, but feeling disrespected and like the staff are trying to fire us as customers is enough motivation to take our business elsewhere.

They were running two back-to-school sandwich specials with one for $10.99 and another for $16.99. Personally, almost $17-$20 for a sandwich didn't really feel like much of a special. The service was definitely the highlight of my visit. The cashier was incredibly friendly, offered great recommendations, and the woman working behind the deli counter was just as welcoming. I ordered the: *Jerk Turkey Sandwich: you can choose from white, wheat, sourdough, a roll, or an onion roll for an additional $3. I went with white bread. I was expecting more of a deli-style hoagie or Subway-style sandwich, but it ended up being served on two slices of sandwich bread. It tasted good, but it honestly reminded me of something I could easily make at home. There just wasn't much of a wow factor. The sandwich came with pickle spears and your choice of macaroni salad, potato salad, or another deli side. The side portion was fairly small, a couple of bites worth, but the macaroni salad was great. My total came to nearly $15, which felt pretty expensive for a sandwich on sliced bread and a small side. While I really appreciated the friendly service and enjoyed the food, I didn't think it offered enough value for the price. Overall, it was a decent lunch, but not memorable enough to make me want to return.
