If i could leave zero stars i would. Nasty place and unwelcoming, employees with an attitude along with the owner. They didn't want to make me a refund of an order i didn't take home with me. I spoke directly with the owner she is immature and rude. Called my number to tell me i was in the wrong. Maggie didn't know what she was doing, Brenda was nosey asking what the situation was and gave me no solution just rude attitude, Crystal (the owner) is something else. We used to come here very often about 5-6 years ago when they first opened, everything was great and the service was too, the man that used to run it was very kind and attentive to every detail. I am not sure if he is still the owner. Anyways, Friday May 15, my wife went in with my kids and Sister and noticed the lady at the cashier had long nails that were chipping. She had made the chamango and grabbed the fruit and placed it in the fruit cup we ordered WithOUT gloves... I am sure they are supposed to wear Gloves, especially when wearing long Pink chipped nails that possibly are dirty underneath. I had asked her if she could remove more of one certain fruit from the cup and add more of another ( because ik my kids ) and she was able to and thats when i saw she rinsed her hands and grabbed more and replaced it without gloves. She was grabbing it with her nails... we didn't end up enjoying the fruit and chamango. On a lunch break, I wanted something on the lighter side. Working a long shift on a hot day. A burger or burrito would of been counterproductive. So the search was on. This little fruit shop is really nice! It's tucked away in an outlet mall. I ordered the Acai bowl - they covered up the 'medium' option so what was left was a large for 9.99. They use Acai Roots sorbet for the base, and on top they add honey, coconut flakes, granola, strawberry, and banana. I asked for light honey because I prefer less 'sweet' on top. It tasted great! They do tack on a .99 charge on top of a credit or debit card transaction. The fruit was very fresh, they have outdoor or indoor seating as well. The cashier was friendly. I just went today and was super disappointed in the service. I ordered a raspado de pina ( shave iced with pineapple flavoring) and it took 20-25 minutes to get it. This doesn't take more than 10 minutes to make whether you doing by hand or machine. What makes it worse is that a woman and her girls order after I did 3 açaí bowls with each one having their own adjustments. The cashier ( the older gentleman)immediately went to do their order, gave it to them and they left. When I went to ask for it, he said that it was still being worked on and blamed the "new girl" for it. The whole time I was there waiting, he just continuously blamed her for any little thing. Which ok she's new BUT you have experience working there. Whether you were the manager or an experienced employee you should have taken responsibility to help her with EVERY SINGLE ORDER that she was inexperienced rather than saying oh it's her fault she's new. 2.5 round up. The lady working there was super sweet. Very humble fruteria in an older shopping plaza. We aren't local to this area. Ordered via yelp and they were pleasantly early with our order. Coconut juice was not sweet at all. Kind of regret ordering it for the cost $8.5 for a standard cup of coconut water that tasted bland. I think the Asian in me wanted the Asian take on coconut juice which is also like half the price. It did have big chunks of coconut meat though. Just no one liked it and it was really expensive for what we received. Escamocha was also just meh. I've had better. Very heavy in condensed milk but frankly none of the fruit was sweet so it was almost a mask to cover the fruit that was a bit flavorless. The best parts were the ice cream and granola. This was also a little expensive for what we received $9.5 but it is also winter time.... I guess you can't expect summer fruits to be that sweet right now. Fruity loco is great for a go to smoothie or torta. My son gets a mango smoothie at least once a week. Tortas are amazing, just a few things I would change . For $10 I would expect a little more meat. Literally one or two pieces. They warm the bread instead of toasting it. Tortas in my opinion should be toasted.
