We ordered the beef lo mein and vegetables. The food was hot . Good flavor. They give you good portions. We will keep returning.

The sweet and Sour sauce for the chicken was like water. The fried dumplings looked horrible and tasted like it! See pics. We ate the steam rice and throwed the rest away.

It seems like restaurants are very inconsistent these days. My wonton soup was brown instead of clear and doesn't taste the way it usually does, the chicken had barely any sauce, and the fried rice is hard. Luckily the eggrolls were really good. I did order prior to closing but if they can't suit patrons that late they shouldn't accept orders @that time. I'll call when they open tomorrow to see if they'll make it right. 1 star for the eggrolls and 1 star for the price.

I'll start with the positives. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant itself is quite quaint in a positive way. My order even came in out in a timely fashion. I'm mostly disappointed in the amount of soup I recieved versus the amount that I paid. For $8+ I didn't expect for my order to come in such a small container. And although the flavor was pretty good I couldn't shake feeling like I was overcharged comparatively. Especially considering there maybe 5 shrimp and a few bits of clam in the entire container.

This small Chinese restaurant is tucked away in a small strip mall. The meal comes with a choice between 2 soups and 2 appetizers, and rice. I went with what was recommended on Yelp which is the black pepper chicken and I ordered egg drop soup and cheese puffs with it. Finally a restaurant that advertises No MSG used but has flavor to it. The black pepper chicken was spicy but nothing I couldn't handle and was flavorful. The fried rice wasn't greasy at all but yet still had flavor to it. The chicken wings were hot out of the oven and tasty. If I didn't order the chicken wings as an extra appetizer, my meal would've been under $8! What a deal. Right across this place is a Panda Express. Shame on you if you go to that "Chinese fast food" place over Cafe Asian. The staff here are friendly and attentive.

stop by here to get a quick and fresh treat, food came out hot and fast, good price.

Want to start off with something positive. Great customer service. But the food isn't good. Wanted to try this place because of the reviews. The egg rolls are 100% frozen. Don't taste fresh/homemade at all. Plus they are very small. Ordered the kung pao chicken and it was half vegetables(huge mushrooms, squash maybe, celery and peanuts) hardly any chicken. Plus they cut the water chestnuts the same way and size the chicken is cut and you can't really tell the difference. So I'm eating a spoon full of vegetables and water chestnuts. Such a waste of money. It's a good way to scam and save money on chicken. Also ordered fried rice and it wasn't terrible. It was alright. But I'm leaving 2 stars because they rip you off with the amount you pay and the food doesn't taste freshly made.

Honestly there isn't anything bad I can say about this place. Tried them out a long time ago on a whim and have never regretted it since!! They are the best! Hottest, freshest and most delicious Chinese food in Katy. They have the absolute best pan fried dumplings and their vegetables are so fresh in all their food. Awesome service and they care about the food you get so much. They go above and beyond every time and their delivery is so fresh and fast. I have a son with a peanut allergy and they are so accommodating. Hands down best Chinese order we have found ever! Couldn't imaging living in a place where they don't deliver.

No regrets all…read morearound--everyone thought it was a great place to eat, catch up, and spend the afternoon. Malaysian Grilled Chicken Satay - Super tender with a sweet peanut sauce that really accentuated the flavors. Probably my favorite appetizer so far--had to be extra careful around my BF after this! Definitely my brother's personal favorite; I'm sure he ate 3 of them! Hainanese Chicken & Rice - Very tender and chewy with a mild flavor. The ginger-and-scallion sauce at the bottom was very refreshing, and the aromatic rice was among the most delicious I've had! I saw that the grains looked similar to Vietnamese broken rice because they weren't fully rounded. For some reason, this made the texture so much more appealing to me. Curry Chicken Puff - Love the curry flavor of this and the delicacy of the puff pastry. The shell isn't too thick, and the vegetables are very well infused with the curry, making them strong contributors to the overall flavor. Despite it being a pastry, I didn't feel overwhelmed by the carbs--indicating that the breading-to-stuffing ratio of this sat at the perfect pinnacle. Malaysian Roti Canai - One of my absolute favorite dishes here. I would come to this place just for this--the whole table compared the combo to crack. No joke. The chicken and potatoes are some of the most tender pieces in this dish, and you could slurp the broth like it's its own dish. I watched this go way too fast, and even two orders per table were not enough to satisfy the crowd. Malaysian Roti Canai (w. Egg) - Love the original much more, but this was still very delicious. They made the egg very thin, so it didn't overwhelm the roti. The egg took away from my favorite roti taste, but it was so well seasoned I wasn't even that angry about it. Malaysian Char Kuey Teow (Migoreng) - OOH. This has a unique flavor --much more savory than packaged ramen. The texture of the noodles is very inviting. It's much less salty compared to the pre-packaged Migoreng. The flavor was more umami. Rich, deep, and just the perfect amount to coat the noodles. Stir-Fried Mixed Vegetable (w. Tofu) - This is a very saucy vegetable dish, but I didn't mind it at all. I loved it, though it was the last dish I had and I was definitely stuffed by then. The sauce reminds me of a thinner Migoreng sauce--more viscous than a loose sauce, but not as thick as Migoreng. Very good, but my taste buds were definitely overwhelmed by then. Malaysian Milk Tea - Not as sweet as I expected. I was told the tea leaves were imported from Malaysia, and our table ended up ordering six of them. The lingering bitterness in the aftertaste is something I'm very fond of, and the tea flavor is exceptionally rich. The milk infusion in this is exceptional. Malaysian Lime "Calamansi" & Plum Drink - Tasted like a lime-tamarind drink to my BF, while my brother and I thought it tasted like Vietnamese chanh muối. Overall, Uncle Chin's lived up to the hype, just as I knew it would from the day my BF brought home leftover roti from his very first visit. The buzz of having 16 people definitely distracted me from paying close attention to every dish--I even missed taking a few photos--but one thing remained true: everyone was talking about the food. Every time a new dish came out, the table erupted with commentary about its flavor, uniqueness, and overall impact. Some dishes stole the show more than others (my lovely roti, hello), but every single one earned its place on the menu. Very sad we didn't get to see Uncle Chin sing, but with 16 people to serve during the lunch rush, I'm sure he was pretty overwhelmed.

Service was spot on, quick, and we got our food in what felt like maybe a few minutes. We started off with pork dumplings for the kiddo, which he INHALED in moments. For entrees, we split the orange chicken and the Spicy/Numbing Pot. The orange chicken was spot on. The sauce was sweet but not painfully sweet or thick/clumpy. Really nice orange flavor and tender chicken. So much fun eating it since it is gluten free! Our kiddo also devoured this dish! Mild - not spicy at all! The Spicy Numbing Pot, while a little oily/greasy on the bottom, was still delicious! I appreciated that it wasn't knock your socks off spicy - it had a solid kick, and so flavorful. I love eating dishes with Sichuan Pepper; it has a lot of flavor, and the tingling is so much fun. This dish was perfect with some rice, and it wasn't too heavy for the middle of the day. The prices were really reasonable, and there was enough food for leftovers which we ate later that night. Our only regret is not getting the duck appetizer, but we will be sure to get it next time. We can't wait to go back, and Tiger Noodle will happily be in regular rotation for our family! You can't go wrong!

The decor is attractive, it reminds of Cantonese restaurants in NYC. We ordered the fried squid(won't order again, no flavor and batter is very oily, like was fried in old oil), the green beans with grounded meat(good flavor but there's hardly much ground meat, it was more like a garnish), and finally the honey walnut shrimp(won't order that again either, for $25, there was 13 small shrimp and not very saucy). So in all, I did not love these dishes, they were just average tasting but the prices were high for such average to below average taste. There are other choices within walking distance for better tasting food that cost less. I have heard that they have good wonton noodle soup and congee so will try that next time before I write off this restaurant completely, but honestly, it's cheaper and those 3 dishes I ordered are cheaper and tastier at Tan Tan Wok.
