I'm a regular visitor here for a handful of years, and have converted my father. The food is tasty and priced really well. I frequently get lunch specials and an appetizer for about $20. They allow substitutions with their family dinners, too. I like the Roy Rodgers drink they serve. read more

Lackluster dinner. Nobody greeted us so we sat ourselves. We shared the kung pao beef, hunan chicken, and vegetable lo mein. Craving Chinese so tried several dishes mix up the menu. The food was prepared good hot and fresh just not seasoned enough for my taste. I feel I always have to come home and add more Asian seasoning to kick up a notch. Like I had to tell them, add more egg and to season well the shrimp fried rice. We order takeout on a regular basis. Good food and adequate quantities. Always ready on time. Takeout orders have always been accurate too.

We have eaten in-restaurant and used take-out. Both are great. It seems many of their customers do take-out. They use high quality containers, and the food is still warm when we got home. We had Beijing Beed and Kung Pao Shrimp. Both were a little spicy, but GOOD. It is our favorite Chinese food place that is relatively close. Highly recommend. read more

Best traditional egg rolls around! They come with the duck sauce and are so crispy. Not oily at all! I will just call them by themselves they are that good. We have continued to order from this place during covid for both take out and delivery and the food has always been consistent and delicious. For the area, the price is worth the amount of food you get as well! We order the dinner for two and will sometimes substitute out the food options for another dish so change it up a bit. I typically call in orders instead of using the app since it costs more in some restaurants. My kids have started to eat the same foods we do and they love the food here as well. First time here on 4/17/25. Sorry, but this was the most absolutely awful food we have ever tasted! No one greets you. Extremely dark inside, can't hardly see what you're eating. First was a "so-called spring roll". No way this was food! Disgusting soggy and greasy. No flavor. Still couldn't even identify what was on the inside of it. I ordered grilled shrimp. Ew! The after toast was horrible. We both had an awful after taste we couldn't wash down with water. Didn't eat but 2. Also got sweet sour chicken. Or it was so called. All it was, was gobs of old grease tasting flour dough. Couldn't even hardly find chicken in it. Was not cooked in a sweet sour sauce. Came out dry with a huge bowl of red syrupy sauce on the side. Did not eat that either. Then tried the Fried Rice. Oh my! Nasty tasting like dishwater. Horrible color. Just gray looking rice. Nothing else in it. We asked for boxes to go but when got home they both went directly in the trash. We've never had a Chinese meal this bad ever! Don't waste your money or time. Panda Express way better!! Really good hot and sour soup! Best we've found in Katy! We like them because they are clean. Only negative is if you go close to their closing time (meaning one hour before) they rush you out and make you uncomfortable. For example, one time we went in one hour before and the waitress who came over did not even introduce herself. She walked up to the table and said "kitchen closing soon you have to put in your order." Mind you we had an hour before closing, had just sat down and hadn't even glanced at the menu. We walked out. We came back months later because the food was so good and are relieved that we haven't seen that waitress since. But we now only go when it is at least two hours before closing. Was wanting and craving some Chinese so decided to give this restaurant a chance. My husband and I started off with some hot sake and a Sapporo beer. We enjoyed both of these. We then got a hot and sour soup, and wonton soup. Both of these were just okay. We ordered pork pot stickers and thought they tasted a little old or stale. For our entrees, we ordered the Sesame Chicken, which was pretty dry, and the Walnut Shrimp, which didn't have enough sauce and was on a lot of plain broccoli. The side of fried rice didn't have much taste and was also pretty plain. The egg roll came out really quick and seemed like it had been sitting there for a bit. Carried out Mongolian chicken and an egg roll. Egg roll was on point but the Mongolian beef entree was a big miss - chicken not crispy, lacked flavor, not spicy. It was a slow Monday night but that's no excuse. Adding to this review to share that I had food poisoning during the night and the next day. I'm sure it was from this food because I hadn't eaten anything else for 12 hours prior. Nothing like getting sweet and sour chicken delivered with no sauce. When I called them to let them know my order was delivered without the sauce that makes it taste good I was told I have 2 options... I can have extra sauce added to my next order or I can come pick it up. There's a reason I had it delivered in the first place. Skip it and drive to Katy Asian Town... I'm new to the neighborhood but no stranger to the Katy/Richmond area. I wanted to so badly like Grand Imperial because it's a stones throw away, but I just cannot recommend this place from my recent experience. From photos alone, it looks like the food would be exactly the kind of Chinese American dishes that I was craving, but don't let them fool you. Let's start with the worst ... Plain Fried Rice -- 1/5, came with the entree and was just barely edible. The color and flavor were present but the rice was hard. Every bite had just one or two pieces of either undercooked or dried out rice bits that kept getting stuck in my teeth between bites. Tidbit Plate (Appetizer) -- 2/5, meant to be shared between two or more diners. Came with a ton of fried options including shrimp, crab rangoons, dumplings, chicken wings, and spring rolls. Also came with 2 sweet and sour BBQ ribs. The spring rolls had a hard outer shell but were not crispy or crunchy, instead they were rather stale -- while the amount of food does seem like it would be worth the price, I'd say skip and just share an order of the crab rangoons. Beef Lo Mein -- 3/5, has the potential to be a good dish! Overall flavorful and lots of thinly sliced beef and veggies, however, the noodles were overcooked and a step prior to fork mush. Mongolian Chicken -- 4/5, the only dish that I was actually excited to eat! Chicken was nice and tender and sauce was flavorful. I love the excessive amount of onion slices that come with every bite! No complaints on this one. Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where the good just did not overcome the bad. The restaurant interior was nice, clean and simply decorated. I could easily see myself dining here post-COVID times or sharing a booth with someone. The staff was very polite upon picking up my order and everything was prepared and packaged neatly prior to my arrival. However, personally I probably will not be giving this place another try on my account. I'd recommend driving a bit further up the road to Fortune Village or Katy Asian Town for a truly spectacular meal! read more

Yum yum yum!!! The pepper steak is always a fantastic choice with the lo mein noodles or fried rice! The beef with garlic sauce is a hit but the sweet and sour shrimp has to be the best thing; the sauce is fantastic and can be used with any of the meats and still taste delicious! We recently had the orange chicken and found it to be a bit dry but it did have very big chicken pieces which may be the reason for that. Overall, really great food for a great price. read more
