Definitely the best option if you're looking for a warm, close to home cooked, full meal. Bento meals come with your choice of white rice, fried rice, noodles or split and one entree dish $12.99, two items $14.99, three $16.99. The portions are easily shareable and flavors are yumMAY every time! We got the orange chicken, spicy chicken, with split white rice and noodles. They also have soups like beef and wonton, a vegetarian special, and sides like egg rolls and fried spring rolls. They carry Coke products for soft drinks. Seating is in food court where is kept pretty clean, no issues on a show Wednesday evening. Staff at Cafe Bento are quick and pleasant. Came to Cafe Bento at the Seattle Premium Outlet Mall for the famous Taiwanese beef noodle soup on a rainy weekend before Black Friday. 60% of the people at the food court ordered the same, so this is indeed popular. The beef and tendon portion is decently generous with good flavor and tenderness, the bok choy is fresh and crunchy, and the broth is on the lighter side. The egg noodle is optimized for speed and not for flavor as it can't absorb the flavor from the broth. The flavor is authentic but quality is still not as good as Din Tai Fung (though cheaper by ~$4), and served in black plastic bowl which is both bad for your healthy and the environment. Overall good value but I would only come back if they change their serveware. read more

Food? Yes, they have food. It's pretty standard vat food splatted into a compartmentalized plastic food box. Drink refills are $1. Sigh. Service? Yes, they will splat your food into a box. They seem like they want you to hurry up and order and don't ask questions. Also, they want you to tip them, but it's unclear what service they offer since you get the food from them, then you bus your own table. But also, it's not far from where I charge my car. Ambiance? It's a mall food court. There is a lot of ambient noise and screaming kids. read more

Were shopping in this plaza, and this looked like the best choice in the food court. They had a sign for famous beef noodle soup from Taipei, so I gotta try it! The beef is actually quite good! Nice and tender, and they were not stingy on it either. However, the noodle is completely wrong for Taiwanese beef noodle soup! Also the broth was quite thin, not what I expected. Maybe I was expecting too much from a food court stall, but they did say it's famous so raised my expectation! I do appreciate having this option in the food court, but probably wouldn't get it if I visit again. read more

As far as Asian food court food goes, this is some of the best we've had. The food felt fresh, the flavors were good, and wasn't too overcooked. The curry chicken is remenescent of Cantonese curry and the flavors hit the spot. Chicken felt a little bland and a little overcooked. The sweet and spicy chicken wasn't too sweet and the chicken was still tender. The fried rice was fine but didn't taste like anything. Some salt or soysauce added would make it way better. read more

I love this place. I know it's fast food. But loved their bento boxes with noodles and fried rice. Always picked up different chicken sides - Orange chicken, sweet b spicy, curry chicken - plenty of options! The staff is just awesome. They offer samples, especially for kids. Patiently waits for us to pick the food. They will add adequate napkins and utensils without asking. That's always the case no matter how crowded this place is. Expect long lines. Wow! I don't give 5 stars often, but this was a pleasant surprise on a busy holiday shopping afternoon. As soon as we walked in the food court there are 3 things we noticed. 1) Cafe bento sitting in the middle of all restaurants has a long line. 2) there's a beef noodle soup sign. 3) eventhough the line was long, they seem to have a good system that moved customers fast. Plus it was 42 degrees outside noodle soup sounds perfect. We ordered the signature beef noodle soup, sweet and spicy chicken and teriyaki chicken. And wow! I don't think I've had beef noodle soup this good in the states, it was as authentic as it gets. The portion was great with lots of beef and the broth was savory. The sweet and spicy chicken is fresh with a little kick, perfect for kids, and the teriyaki chicken was juicy. Although the chicken was more typical mall food, but the beef noodle soup was phenomenal, I can't recommend it more. Lastly the service was great, the lady was attentive, we went back several times asking for bowls and utensils because we are splitting the meals. She was polite and gave us more than we asked. Overpriced Panda Express. The chow mein was very wet also, and was just spaghetti noodles with teriyaki sauce/water lol. The teriyaki chicken was good though, but for the price you could get more value elsewhere. But I didn't mind eating here out of all the other options available at the food court. read more

Wow. Teriyaki, so marinated and flavorful. The yakisoba was also ob point along with the stir fried veggies. This is now one of my favorite fast food eateries. In a food court? Unreal. So tasty and inexpensive. read more

The food was rather delicious, the service was quick, the cost..... well it wasn't cheap. For one plate of food and a drink it was $18, that is a significant amount more than I have paid elsewhere. I did enjoy the orange chicken and teriyaki chicken but the cost would likely make it not my first choice. read more

I was laughing out loud over the reviews about the other restaurant in this food court. I'm not trying to die so probably this is the only choice I had. (I saw the food trucks outside later but nah the food seems more like snacks than actual lunch) I ordered the beef noodle soup and I was pleasantly surprised. For less than 10 bucks, I was given more braised beef than I could ever finish. The broth was decent and the noodles were not soggy. And obviously I'm still alive. The asian lady was super nice and attentive to her customers. Meanwhile the lady with interesting eyebrows were Taking. Her. Time. With. A. Ton. Of. People. Waiting. For. Food. I know this is in the food court so my expectations were low, but sometimes you get lucky and hit an unexpected surprise. Well, not this one. Food was bland, overcooked and just not good. I like their beef noodles! However they are getting real stingy on beef starting from 3 months ago! They used to give you quite a lot of beef pieces, but now they only gave you a few - no more than 5! When a restaurant wants to make money, giving customers less than what they pay for is not a good practice! read more

Who would have thought you can find one of the best Taiwanese beef noodle soup at a food court in an outlet mall? Super soft and huge beef chunks with wonderful beef soup that's not too salty at all. I hate to say this but the food was terrible. I ordered the teriyaki beef which was ok but the vegetables and noodles were very bad. The vegetables were over cooked and the noodles had no taste. Even after pouring soy sauce they had no appetizing flavor. read more

Cafe Bento is my favorite place to stop at when I am in the area of the Seattle Outlets, hearty portions me being 6-4 I got a big stomach to fill and Cafe Bento never fails me! They have so many different dishes for whatever I'm feeling that day, and their vegetables are insanely flavorful and their teriyaki chicken Fresh Off The Grill is to die for. Went to the outlet mall (marysville wa) to get shoes and I left with a very satisfied appetite. I've been all over the world and Cafe Bento has one of the BEST beef soups! The soup had chunks of beef in it (not little strips) and there where several of them. the soup bowl is huge! and will fill you up. The service behind the counter is very friendly and warm. I will be going back very soon. My sister had the Won Ton soup and she was in heaven. The Won Tons are huge, with lite but pleasing flavor. Also tried there curry and it was incredible! not hot just really flavorful. read more

I don't know why this place got five stars, maybe it was a bad day, but both my daughter and myself got sick. The teriyaki chicken was limp, the orange chicken was just plain gross and the noodles had no veggies in it. 21 bucks for crap food. Will not be going back there. What a gem to find in a mall food court! I walked into the food court and saw that this place was particularly popular so I looked at the menu and saw that they have Taiwanese beef noodle soup! I was surprised since I assumed it was a Japanese joint. I ordered the noodle soup and it did not disappoint. The broth is flavorful and then noodles are a perfect texture. I miss Pepsi since the switch to Coke products, but I read somewhere that now bottled water is offered now. Pizza by the slice or whole pizza. There's only cheese or pepperoni. Remember the days with the combo? Still can't beat that price for fresh out of the oven pizza though. The Homie loves the chicken bake. I tried one of the deli type sandwiches once, didn't care for the thick bolo bread. Tried the giant chocolate chip cookie, prefer the days of the long churros instead. The espresso type bevs are just okay, prefer the soft serves. I sure miss the days featuring mango though. Service is expedient. For the price and convenience, it's a treat. Rarely pause to eat onsite, usually it's to go.

The French bakery next door has an awesome croque madame sandwich with bechemel sauce over the entire thing (I opted for the sauce on the side and they decided to put my cheese on the side too, which was a bad choice I didn't request). The sauce wasn't even warm and I missed my cheese on the sandwich. Next time I'll say easy sauce. They have a super delicious "hot fudge" dessert that is a brownie with a chocolate and cream mousse covered with a few brownie pieces and chocolate ganache. Oh my, I'm a baker and it was delicious! Also very grateful to find a Full Tilt ice cream selection on the east side for the first time! Baby girl was so thankful to find her blue moon front and center at La Baguette. The beer menu draft list at the burger bar was very tempting for my honey, he found a couple of new ones to try. They offer pints up to growlers. Also, my honey loves his lattes at Dote Coffee Bar. They take the time to make plenty of tasty foam for me that's well flavored and decorated with a whole bear face! The quality of food and presentation is outstanding at this food court, and I can't wait to make our way around each "station" so I can speak to all of the various tastes.

Adding to the outdoor ambiance inside, we were seated in a 'shaded porch' area, which still had plenty of room (such partitioning could reduce interior space). We were promptly greeted by the staff, who interestingly that day were not of Asian descent as typically found in Far East themed restaurants: more like your average Seattleite college-age server. I like that they bucked the stereotypes. As a ramen newbie, I was overwhelmed by the expert-level menu, the main reason I didn't give 5 stars. The menu starts with alcohol, leading me to look around for the food menu. There it is, tucked after several pages of booze and virgin drinks. The food section starts with the 'Botan Deluxe' (don't recall the actual name used) and lists the components using words that I as a newbie have either never seen before or maybe have seen but not understood, so my anxiety level spiked because I don't like being shamed into just ordering without understanding. Fortunately the waitress worked through this with me after my telling her my issue. The following page had a 'build your own ramen' blocked off into sections: noodles, broth, extras. With the extras, you get like 3 or 4 included (green onions, egg. garlic-something, seaweed, etc.) and more cost $1 extra (not printed on menu). I did the udon noodles, bone broth (insert fancy name but not with the fancy-name soy sauce added), and one extra ingredient over the included number. When asked 'tell me more about the green noodle?', the relatively new employee was unable to immediately describe, but went back and learned it was spinach blended. We also ordered a (fancy name) cucumber salad starter: yummy, sizable and recommended. The orders arrived promptly, with just a small break after the starter; the egg I ordered was replaced by bean sprouts: the served quickly and gracefully delivered the missing egg. Each ordered ingredient was placed as an individual island: it's up to the customer to blend or not (I enjoyed not mixing so to experience each flavor). The udon noodle was exactly as I had imagined and desired. My wife said she enjoyed her selection as well, although didn't pick out any unique flavor to the green noodle. The bill was right-priced if not even on the lower side for the neighborhood. We'll be back again to try more of the offerings now that we have a little bit of familiarity with the exotic descriptions.
