Casual and comfortable both the food and atmosphere. Good, hot food for an affordable price. Queso is creamy and bland while the salsa has some heat to it. Great steak fingers in particular. I eat here once every two weeks. Their chicken fried steak meal, chili relleno and grilled chicken salad are really good.

Not quite sure how this is a 4.5 star restaurant other than limited options in the town possibly. We stopped in on our way through the town because of the reviews. The food was actually pretty good and we really enjoyed the salsa. The service was sub par. We had a high school young man who never checked on the table had to be called over for refills. He spent most of the time we were there talking to a couple of friends from school who were eating. I watched other customers of his have to get their own boxes, refills, etc. The service could do with some management or training. read more

Oh my gosh, I'm back in little bitty Tuscola again! Three years ago when my plant was expanding, the contractor would bring me here for lunch. We always got the steak Mexicana. Steak bites grilled with onion, bell pepper, and jalapeños. So good! Fast forward to now, and I'm bringing two guys here for lunch. Roger got the chicken fry lunch special. I'll get that next time! I got 2 tacos and 2 enchiladas. I DON'T like enchiladas. Just not my thing. Chili rellanos please. You can't mess up tacos. 2 cheese enchiladas with a dark chili sauce. They were so good! I chowed them down. I will happily order their enchiladas again, beef next time, with that great chili sauce. Cordell's plate had 2 huge soft tacos. Stopped by this morning after camping nearby. It had good reviews- we typically enjoy small town hole in the wall spots. Not a single person on staff was wearing a mask. Watched the cooks in the back- no masks or even gloves. The floors and tables were so dirty. No standards in place for current pandemic except to raise the price $1.00 if you wanted any meat on your order. We did not stay...felt so uncomfortable- paid for our untouched iced tea and left. read more

I'm not sure how many years Cozmel has been in Tuscola, but several of the churches in town go there on Sunday's after church. I am one of them. They have very good Mexican food and also have great chicken fry, salads and catfish too. If you want to beat the crowds or just be like a few of our church friends, try their breakfast menu. Waiters we're super. The food was ok for what it is. Would still recommend it for anyone to try. Not for everyone.

Just a tin building and cement floor with so many tables the staff can barely make their way thru. Especially during lunch time. The foods not bad and it's the only sit down restaurant in town. The service was not a bad a experience at all but always have to wait on anyone to come to the register. you have to call in an order prepare to stand just inside the door with tables on three sides of you and the register on the remaining side so close to the people sitting at the tables that if you turned too fast you'd most likely hit someone. Not bad Mexican. I had chilies rellano, rather mild and wrapped in egg. Rice and beans also bland. Salsa has cilantro in it so for me it tastes like soap, but is spicy. Not sure how this is rated 4.5 stars. We stopped here because it had 4.5 stars. We called ahead since we are traveling 6hrs to our home and needed to get something to go. Messed up our order. I asked for limes with my taco and was given a lemon. Had my husband go in to get the limes instead and as I'm distributing food to my kids in the vehicle I noticed they also gave me the wrong type of taco. So I went to give him taco to get order fixed. My husband comes back and tells me that he was told it would be another 30mins to remake my taco because "they are busy". 30 minutes to "Remake" a taco that they messed up on. I was given a guisada taco instead of an Asada taco. 30 minutes to make an Asada Taco. Then when my husband questioned why would they make us wait 30mins when it was their mistake and usually when a restaurant messes up an order they place that ticket as priority. Her response was " we don't even have Asada tacos that they have to make it as a burrito". Mind you the people working the front look like teenagers. The girl telling my husband all this was dark hair light skinned obviously didn't give a name. I just told my husband to get his money back. So now I'm the one who will wait to eat when we get to another town. As far as flavor of food we did receive correctly... potato egg taco was good, pancakes were ok, bean and cheese taco was "flavorless" needs spices and salt. Recommend getting an adult who is experienced in hospitality to the front. read more

CLOSED ON TUESDAYS!!!! We love driving out to Cozumels for dinner. They're fajitas are the best I've ever had. Lots of food for a decent price. Our kids love eating here as well. They only have canned sodas though and I can go through a canned drink in about four gulps so I always settle for the sweet tea and it's always good. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is wanting a good Mexican dinner!!! read more

I really like the food here. Everything I've had is great. Although it is a Mexican restaurant, they make a good burger. On the downside the dishes are pretty warn and some have cracks that can hold bacteria. Also, no soft drink refills here. You get a canned drink and if you want a refill you buy another can.
