I really wanted to love Café de Flores. It's a local, Latina-owned business, the space is absolutely stunning, and it's obvious how much work has gone into creating it. The entire café is pink, floral and incredibly photogenic, and their seasonal Snoopy decor is so cute. This is definitely a place designed for sitting down with friends, having brunch and taking photos. Unfortunately, the coffee itself was the weak point for me. I ordered the pumpkin spice latte with oat milk to go. I really appreciated the presentation, especially the bear-shaped coffee ice cube. It was such a thoughtful touch and kept the drink from getting watered down as it melted. However, at $9 before tip, I expected a good espresso-based drink. Instead, the coffee was so weak that I initially wondered whether it had been made with drip coffee. The drink mostly tasted like sweetened oat milk and weak coffee, with an odd artificial sweet/bitter note. I later saw a video on their Instagram showing their espresso being pulled, and the shot looked extremely pale and watery, which made my experience make a little more sense. I really think dialing in the espresso would make a huge difference. I was also a little surprised that ordering a coffee to go seemed unusual. I understand that the primary experience here is clearly the beautiful sit-down café, but they already have an espresso machine and offer Americanos and other espresso drinks. I think there's a real opportunity for a stronger grab-and-go coffee program alongside the sit-down experience. Especially for people who live nearby, good espresso and seasonal drinks could create another stream of regular customers who might also come back for brunch or the full café experience. One other thing worth knowing: I originally went specifically for the seasonal pumpkin horchata because the house-made horchata and real pumpkin sounded fantastic. It's $13.99 and, unlike the pumpkin spice latte, which is available either in a real pumpkin or as a regular drink, the horchata was only listed with the pumpkin presentation. The real pumpkin is adorable for anyone who wants the full sit-down/photo experience, but I was just stopping in for a drink to take home. I'd love to see the horchata offered in a regular to-go cup at a lower price too. That way customers could choose between the drink itself and the more elaborate presentation rather than having to purchase both. I'm rooting for this place because it's unique, locally owned and clearly a labor of love. The atmosphere is wonderful, and there are thoughtful little details throughout the experience. I just hope they give the coffee itself the same level of attention they've clearly given the space, because I would love to have a genuinely great neighborhood coffee spot this close to home. read more

I have been wanting to go to this café after seeing it all over social media. It is a very small spot with about 10 tables inside. They have two small tables outside the café . It is decorated head to toe with pink Christmas decorations. It is picture worthy. They serve food and beverages. TikTok vs. Reality: A Missed Opportunity for What Could've Been a Cute Café I'm always big on supporting small businesses, so I went out of my way -- about a mile and a half off the freeway -- to visit this café after seeing it on TikTok. I expected something charming, romantic, and cozy for the season. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment. Location & Atmosphere The café is located in a strip mall that's a bit on the rougher side. When I parked, there was a strong smell of pee in the area that never really went away -- it lingered even after I got back in my car. From the videos online, I imagined something serene and thoughtfully decorated. In person, though, it looked more like a mix of pink decorations from all kinds of stores -- Dollar Tree, discount shops, and random finds -- all thrown together to create a "pink holiday" theme. Even the pics I took make it nicer then what it is in person. The only standout piece was the large Santa outside, but overall it felt more thrown-together than intentional. Inside, it's not so much a café as it is a storefront converted into one. There were maybe 20 tables total, with only three or four occupied when I arrived. The vibe wasn't romantic or cozy -- more like a quick stop with some pink décor. Service & Cleanliness The lady at the counter was very kind and welcoming, which I appreciated. But right behind the counter, I immediately noticed clutter and a lack of cleanliness. It's the first thing customers see, and to me that signals a lack of pride in presentation and hygiene -- something that really matters in a food service space. Ordering Experience You order at the counter here -- it's not table service -- which is fine, but it doesn't quite match the restaurant-style setup. When I asked for the menu, the employee told me that everything was sold out, including basic items. The only thing left was the Nutella crepe, and even worse, they were completely out of coffee. At 2 PM on a Tuesday. That made no sense to me -- how does a café run out of coffee midday? It came across as poor planning or lack of management more than just a busy day. Finding the Place When searching on Maps, it doesn't even come up as "Casa de Flores" -- it shows as something with "Crepes" in the name. Just a heads-up in case you try to find it, because it's easy to miss. Overall Impression Between the lingering smell outside, the disorganization inside, and the fact that almost nothing on the menu was available, it's safe to say this visit didn't live up to expectations. TikTok made it look like a romantic date spot -- but honestly, this isn't the kind of place I'd choose for that. I'm not trying to be harsh on a business that's trying to make it work, but when you can't even offer a simple cup of coffee, it's hard to overlook the lack of preparation and upkeep. Final Verdict 1 out of 5 stars. Friendly service, but that's about it. No coffee, no food options, poor cleanliness, and an atmosphere that doesn't match what's shown online. It's a very cute place don't get me wrong but me and friends just wanted to try a drink and we got told we couldn't just get a drink. We had to get a meal too I had asked if we could just get a crepe to share and she said it had to be a drink and a main course per person. To me that's just trying to get people to spend more. We ended up getting two strawberry matcha's, one vanilla latte and 3 strawberry crepes. The matcha's tasted like pure milk and you could tell by the color too. The vanilla latte didn't even taste like vanilla just bitter coffee. The total came out to 62 for what we got. Unfortunately, we went on a day where they were only doing the Grinch menu (12/21/25). So we had to get our food to go. That was the only way to get what we wanted, sadly. I got the pink latte, which is basically a strawberry latte), my friend got the white chocolate latte, and we both ended up getting the chicken pesto panini. Both drinks were sweeter than what we like. So if you are a fan or like your coffee to be really sweet definitely recommend. If you like something stronger I suggest going with something else. The strawberry latte you can definitely taste the strawberry part. My friend did mention that hers was super sugary and had a lot of sugar at the bottom of the cup. The décor looks like it came from a dollar store clearance bin , dusty fake flowers, sticky tables, and a floor that definitely hasn't seen a mop in a while. Even the "aesthetic" doesn't hit in person. The coffee? Weak. The service? Barely there. The staff didn't speak much English, which made ordering already awkward but then came the Fruity Pebbles crepe. The photo shows it covered in cereal and fruit, what we got was a sad, soggy mess. Maybe a fourth of a banana, sliced paper-thin, swimming in chocolate syrup, drowning in whipped cream, and about a teaspoon of Fruity Pebbles. We asked nicely for a little more cereal (because hello, that's the whole point of the dish), and they said that'd be an extra charge. I would've laughed it off , until they dropped the bill and there's an automatic 18% gratuity added for terrible service. We were automatically charged an 18% tip, and our food took over 40 minutes to arrive. We asked why there wasn't a bear on the last latte and our waitress just said 'no' and kept it moving. We didn't get water until we were half way through our meals, and there were no knives, napkins, or periodic check ins to see if we needed anything. One of the employees randomly came over and took a picture of our table without asking which was just odd. Overall definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend for a group.
