This was the perfect place for us tonight. We wanted something light with the suggestion of healthy and Cafe 11 delivered. I had just about the best chicken vegetable soup ever and hubby had a yummy Caesar salad. The Belgium beer was excellent and we took advantage of a yelp check in voucher for a half price Banana, Peanut butter and honey smoothie for dessert. Great place! read more

Stopped in for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent food, the praline French toast was great and a very large portion. The Cafe eggs Benedict was also superb. The staff was friendly and efficient. Don't let the store front appearance fool you. This place is a gem. read more

Had breakfast here one morning this week on vacation based on the recommendation of the front desk clerk at our hotel. The food was ok. The atmosphere seems really groovy if they had a band or some event one night but they didn't have anything this week. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't exactly friendly. If yelp would allow a zero we would have left that instead of a 1 star. We had the brunch buffet and the food was horrible. The eggs looked like they we sitting in the tray for a week. We had to wait for them to replenish some of the foods. The area where the food was set up was dark and hard to see. We spent $36 and could have had a better breakfast at a McDonalds. What can I say. Been in st Augustine for a few days and watched cafe 11 as I went by daily. Seemed to be always busy so I gave it a shot. Rolled in tonight finding all outside tables full, usually a good sign. But as I walked in, found ALL inside tables empty! Only people were sitting at the bar. You are required to stand at the entrance and review the menu, then order at the resister and pay before you receive any service. We found out why. The food came very quickly! But the meatloaf was cold, veggies were mushy, and the grilled chicken on the salad was ice cold and rubbery! It seems the locals come here only for the drinks. Do yourself favor and pass this one up if your hungry for a nice meal. Just down the road a few blocks is the Mango mango, and the food is superb!! i came for the advertised bubble tea. i was disappointed that they only had the ice-blended version and the tapioca pearls were very hard and not soft and chewy like they're supposed to be. i would not come again because the food was also a letdown. the açaí bowl was half-assed--it's a smoothie in a bowl with no fruit besides banana slices and cheap granola. my company got a very sad looking tostadas meal but it wasn't bad. however, they did have fast, good service. read more

Love the buffet on the weekend and they have good coffee. Also love the scrambler off their regular breakfast menu. Pancakes are good but are drier than they used to be but still a nice quiet breakfast spot. read more

We wanted breakfast without a drive from the Marriott. Found this place in walking distance. The eggs Benedict were delicious and the pancakes were the size of hubcaps. Nice vibe in the place, really clean bathroom and Casual, like most of st Augustine. Would like to have been here for the live music. That would've been my fifth star. Recommend it for anyone wanting to eat somewhere but downtown. Just come here and thank me later! read more

Looking for vegan options in st Augustine and this was a cute casual cafe with meat and veggie options , smoothies,drinks, and coffee bar. They have lots of seating and a stage where they have shows sometimes . The food was really good and they were very accommodating to me they said they can add it take away anything we wanted since they make everything fresh- I ordered a regular salad that typically offers chicken and I got tempeh subbed in it was delicious . Wow!~ Great breakfast - a breakfast bar with fresh, hot breakfast food, plus a small assortment of non-traditional foods, as well as fruit and salad greens. The made-to-order omelets and pancakes were MMMMM delicious. I disagree with what some have characterized as expensive. $12 for a generous amount of food and bottomless coffee, plus all you can eat...and eat...and eat is a great price. So far the reviews of the Sunday morning brunch have been very accurate. It's poorly prepared food (over-cooked eggs, thin dried out bacon, steamed sausage) for the price. My chocolate chip pancakes were good so I will give the credit for that. What was more concerning were dirty plates and utensils, and the multiple flies buzzing around. I understand we are in Florida and flies are a normalcy, but this was more than your standard fly or two. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, checking in on us several times. Perhaps the non-buffet days are much better as the reviews say, but I would skip out on the buffet if I were you. read more

Costumer Service was awful. One of the employees was very rude to my friend and I. She gave attitude when my friend, a Taiwanese exchange student who is still perfecting her English, was trying to say her order correctly. I almost walked out of the cafe because I was so appalled at her behavior. I am ashamed, as an American host, that a fellow American would act in such a manner to a foreigner. Their glasses were not properly washed. Bathroom in a mess. I'm not sure if I caught them on a bad day but one thing is for sure, I will never come back again. read more

I'm so glad we stayed within walking distance of this place. The first night we got here we walked over and got a few beers since they have a good selection on tap. The next morning my husband ordered the acai bowl and I got the feta, spinach and egg sandwich and both were delicious and at great prices. The next morning we weren't incredibly hungry so ordered the peach synthesize smoothie (half off with Yelp check-in) and my husband got an iced coffee (free refills). The last day we were here was Saturday and they do brunch only and it turns out to be a great deal. You pay $10 and they have a great selection of stuff. From plantains, to scrambled eggs, cheddar grits to MTO omelette and pancake area. Love that we could go to one place to get everything we could want. If we are ever back in St. Augustine, I'm sure we will be back here. Oh and dog-friendly, also! My little pup made good friends with some of the waitresses while we were here. Probably the best breakfast I have ever had. The Huevos Racheros was so good that, even though I was full with half left, I powered through to finish. I looked around the other tables and everything coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed....Added bonus was the Barry White Pandora channel playing in the background :-) Glad I found this gem at the beginning of my stay because I will be back several times before I leave. Stopped there this a.m. for a late breakfast. Reviewers have been too kind. I'm from the big city and fairly relaxed about squalid restaurants, but this one should get a series of visits from the Board of Health. Dirty dishes piled on the counter (just inside the front door, adjacent to the serve-yourself coffee stand) left there for the hour we were sitting nearby. And I'm talking about a stack of eggy plates, not some left-behind coffee mugs. Eggs were overcooked, dry and tough, potatoes way too salty. And one small piece of toast. Seriously? One? Scrambled eggs, potatoes and a single slice of Sunbeam toast for $6.95 p.t.? I didn't have coffee, but my dining companion did and she pouted. Atmosphere was boring and dark. Not particularly clean. Food was so-so. Not very friendly.

This restaurant operates a little differently. You place your order at the counter and if you want refills on drinks you must go to counter again and of course pay again if other than tea/soda refill. Not a big deal at all, just don't expect a full service restaurant. My husband enjoyed the grilled fish tacos, but felt they should have been served with cabbage, not lettuce. He eats fish tacos often and they are always served with cabbage or a slaw. I had the special. Cajun chicken pasta. Very underwhelming. Expected much more flavor. It wasn't bad, just nothing cajun about it. I never salt food, but had to add salt, pepper and hot sauce to get any real flavor. It also was not served hot. Had to return to counter to get it warmed up. They were very apologetic about it. Now the dessert was awesome! Chocolate and peanut butter layered cake thing. We were looking for a place for dinner for vegetarians (us) and carnivores (brother-in-law + his girlfriend), and this place was suggested. Man, I loved this place! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, it's really cool! The counter and tabletops are all reclaimed wood and are just gorgeous (thought about asking them where they got them!). You order up at the counter, and then sit, and your food is brought out. For that dinner, I got my 2 kids pizza and mac and cheese, and they were very happy. I ordered the avocado tacos, and they were just okay, nothing special. I tried to order a mixed drink, but they said they don't really do those, but made me a smoothie (that was supposed to be like a pina colada), and added some rum. A pina colada it was not, but it was okay. We decided to eat there for breakfast the next morning (since they were right across the street and all). I ordered the praline french toast, and it was wonderful! My husband got a breakfast burrito, and I got my kids pancakes and fruit. It was all really good. On weekends they have an all you can eat breakfast buffet, so we decided to try that the next day. We stuffed ourselves! I didn't try the made to order omelets (my husband did and liked his). I was happy with the french toast, potatoes, fruit, grits, etc. on the buffet. My kids were happy as well. I loved the food here (lots and lots of veggie options), the decor, and the vibe. So we stumbled on to this place since it was close to our motel. Not sure what to expect, but what a local gem- really friendly people, casual atmosphere, yummy food- I ordered the vegetarian quesadilla and it was delicious-- perfectly prepared- maybe it's hard to believe but often these are terrible-- this one was among the best I've had. We weren't looking for anything crazy special- just some comfort food on a chilly night. My husband had blackened salmon over greens- very good. Hot tea, and later a smoothie with a hit of rum-- the chilly weather seemed far away and we had such a nice time. Felt like home. If I lived here, this would be my regular place. And who knows? We sold our home in NJ and have been traveling to see where we might like to live. St. Augustine is currently in 3rd, but may move to 2nd before the end of our stay!
