This restaurant is located in the lobby of the Guy Harvey resort. We didn't stay overnight but stopped in for dinner. The live music was quite loud and the seating area couldn't quite accommodate the sound level the band had chosen. But we were seated pretty quickly at a table together. The drinks were not bad but not especially creative. The menu was the same. We had the Portobello Bake which is a mushroom that was swimming in a gooey spinach dip. It hadn't been baked to perfection as the menu promised. It didn't taste bad but the presentation was off-putting. I wouldn't order that again. We also had the Seared Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl which was amazing. It had more tuna than two could eat in one sitting but overall it was very tasty. The service was fine, but with the music being so loud it killed any decent conversation. Except for the Poke Bowl there was nothing compelling to make me want to return. read more

Stopped in on a Wednesday evening, everything from the service to the food to the ambiance was great. We had the Cajun Fried Chicken, Cajun Chicken Eggrolls, Fish Nuggets and the Datil Honey Brussel Sprouts. The chicken was so moist and the skin so crunchy! Fish Nuggets were a little dry, might be because they were blackened. But overall would highly recommend for tourists and locals alike. The old fashion was by far top three that we've ever had. And the Lavender Lemonade was made freshly squeezed lemonade! Enjoying happy hour at Santiago's Florida Kitchen at the Guy Harvey hotel. Happy hour in the bar runs from 4 to 7. Started with a couple of draft beers and their fried pickle appetizer (special price at happy hour). Came out nice and hot. Our waitress brought out regular and datil pepper sauce (the datil was yummy not too hot). The other appetizer specials look good (yep always fun to look at the plates of food as the staff walks past your table). Had planned on ordering a dinner but we must admit we had a couple of beers and after the appetizer just didn't have room for a big dinner. So I ordered a side salad and we split the chicken sandwich. Only negative the fries could have been hotter. Friendly staff. Good food. I really wanted to like this place, but IMO, The food was just not good. This restaurant is located in the lobby of the Guy Harvey resort. The restaurant is not very big, but it does have a full bar and a handful of local craft draft offerings. I ordered the Datil Fried Flounder Sandwich, which came with sides of fries and coleslaw. When it was delivered to the table it was a nice presentation, however that's where it ended. The bun was not the freshest. The two pieces of fried flounder looked huge, but it was mostly breading and air with two very thin pieces of fish. The fish also had an old grease flavor to it. The fries were of the frozen variety and were not very tasty and the coleslaw was awful, it had to be made a couple days prior as it was mushy and not at all flavorful, I couldn't eat it. read more

Santiago's was in the lobby of the hotel I stayed at, so I gave it a try! I found myself eating at Santiago's not for just the convenience, but because food was delicious! The first night we ordered the calamari. It was drenched in a sweet and savory sauce. I believe it's bang bang sauce and teriyaki sauce or sesame. Amazing taste! Breakfast is great because they give you a big portion which is a good way to start the day especially when you're traveling. I also tried the poke bowl which was yummy! Service was nice, overall friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean, they have outdoor seating- a patio with lights and nice tables, which was very popular. I sat inside all times, my preference, and it was very pleasant. I recommend Santiago's! read more

We based our visit on yelp reviews and pictures. Yelp has helped us more times than I can count to find good places. The lunch we had was good but the service seemed kinda slow. Since we are on vacation it wasn't a big deal, but still would have made the experience better not to sit so long My wife had the fish sandwich with a side of slaw and I had the Manolin sandwich. It was piled high with ham, pulled pork, and salami, with mustard and pickle and Swiss cheese. ( think Cuban sandwich). There was not much variety, and the only dessert that was included in the price was apple cobbler. No pies whatsoever. What kind of a buffet is that?!? Having a restaurant attached to the hotel you're staying in is always a bonus BUT this one kind of disappoints. The service was amazing and kind but also very slow. The first night our order came out at separate times. I had the Seared ahi tuna bowl, it was really good but a couple pieces were a little tough. I ordered an extra side of fries mid way through our meal and it was forgotten but offered to go which was appreciated but was already bed time. The 2nd night we hit happy hour which was 4-7pm. It wasn't initially offered until we asked about it. There weren't many options and all of them were fried. We did try the Mushrooms that came with horseradish sauce they were huge but lacked flavor. We ordered House salads, I requested to add cheese on mine and didn't recieve it, the house salads took forever. There was never a time where this place had more than 4 small groups but I feel like we waited a lot for everything. The kids menu is basic Hot dog, hamburger or chicken tenders. We have stayed at the Guy Harvey a few times and love it there. I will definitely not be tying myself to the restaurant the next time we go. read more

Stayed here for a work event. The hotel staff is AMAZING! The restaurant unfortunately did not measure up. Long wait times as they are clearly understaffed. I stood at the bar for 10 min to ask for a water refill after no one checked back in. I realized it was because there was only 1 server. The manager came out from the kitchen ( guessing he was a manager the way he came out of the kitchen in a nice clean button down shirt, clearly not working on the line) holding a cup of coffee and sat at the bar. After sitting there for 5 min (seeing me and several others standing in need of help staring at him) he got up and walked back into the kitchen. Made eye contact with us, however Never even acknowledged we were there. No surprise why they are short staffed. He clearly doesn't believe is helping teammates. I felt terrible for the poor server who had to do everything by himself. Food was prepared very well, unfortunately they do not have any keto options after breakfast. read more

We went Santiago's for dinner and the food was simply AMAZING. I ended up ordering the poke tuna bowl which was very decent size and the curry sauce with pineapple and ginger is soooo good. My father-in-law had the jambalaya which was very good as well, one of those jambalaya where you can barely see the rice. Staff were friendly and we went on a Friday so they had live music. We were staying at Guy Harvey resort attached for 2 nights. While at the beach my husband ordered room service for himself and got an oyster po boy and ordered me a side of garlic mashed potatoes. Ok the thought was nice. They were good. We ate breakfast and He had biscuits and gravy and I had a breakfast sandwich with egg, spinach greens, bacon, gruyere cheese and avocado with breakfast potatoes. This was good and tied us over during the trolley tour. Prices are also reasonable for a hotel restaurant and service was also nice. read more

This restaurant is inside of the guy harvey resort in st Augustine. We ate here three times during our stay. The first meal we got was delivered to the room promptly. A cheese and charcuterie plate, jerk soup and cake. All of that was very good, no complaints. Second meal was breakfast everyone was pleased with everything, however the scrambled eggs are egg beaters. Third meal was also breakfast the day we checked out, everything was prepared well, good service as before only the soufflé cup with syrup in it for pancakes was dirty. And that was gross AF. Maybe someone accidentally dropped a piece of tomato in it and scooped it out. Idk. Ask for salad no onion, salted with onion. Brought the wrong wine. Waiter never brought refill wine and beer, asked to cancel order. Waiter said "never rang them j ." He brings the check, drinks on tab. We say "can you take these off?" He says "they're right there at the service bar." We 1) never got them, 2) canceled them, 3) ALREADY HAD THE CHECK. I cannot speak for the hotel, however the restaurant, Santiago's at Guy Harvey's is Fantastic! It is bright, clean and beautifully designed, but best of all the food is great! They have a wonderful menu with unique items that ask sound delicious! We started with the roasted beets and Brie and conch fritters for the table and everyone was immediately impressed with the portion sizes and quality. Most at the table opted for the Poké bowls as entrees, which also received rave reviews. The service here is also wonderful! Zach was attentive, friendly and quick with service. The kitchen even split meals for those that were choosing to share! It's the little things that count. The live Americana style music duo was wonderful and played at the perfect volume to still enjoy conversation as well. The restaurant is a little hard to spot but be sure not to miss it! read more
