    Arroz con pollo

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The waitress was amazing with a very crowded restaurant with lots of kids.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the arroz con pollo which was fantastic- especially the plantains were a great addition to the dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes were not my favorite but the prices were good and so was my food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Great little spot for dinner. Our food was delicious, tasted fresh and hit the spot. The coconut shrimp was really good, as were the corn cakes! The Mahi Mahi was a tad dry, but the fruit salsa on top was a nice touch. The fish sandwich was very tasty. The service was good, but it did take quite a long time to get our food, but it was pretty busy, so that's to be expected I guess. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not a ton of seating, but the wait wasn't too long to get a seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Full bar with good drink specials. It was a nice dinner indeed.

When I saw the menu I knew I had to try this restaurant. Tropical food paradise! The corn cakes are sooooo yummy, and my coconut shrimp were really good with the Pina colada sauce. Huge fried plantains too

Fast-moving staff/hosts, great location off A1A, reasonable prices, tasty/adult bevs, wonderful selection of seafood and nonseafood eats, and so much more! Benny's Island Teriyaki Tropical Chicken Wings were crazy amazing (just a tiny kick)!!!!!

Quite enjoyable little beachside restaurant! Service was friendly and welcomed questions. We got the mahi mahi fish sliders which had pretty good flavor and the fish pieces were quite big, falling out of the bread. Some bites were less flavorful than others but there is a wide array of sauces on the table to season with. We also got the corn cake entree with the shrimp which is essentially an arepa. The shrimp is quite well flavored and overall this is a delicious dish and quite filling. The mango slaw is literally just coleslaw with mango pieces but there are mango chunks throughout the slaw so it has an overall sweet flavor. The sweet potato waffle fries are about what one can expect and it comes with this cinnamon butter dip.

So glad that I found this place during a visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the island-vibe atmosphere with friendly service at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed some delicious bangin' shrimp and conch fritters along with a spectacular pale ale from Cigar City Brewing. Can't wait to go back.

I've been to Mango Mango several times when I visit St. Augustine. Place has a casual island vibe with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Opted for salad with my fried fish and hush puppies. Should have done a half order, but was able to finish most of it. Food was tasty and well prepared. Would recommend for anyone looking for seafood at a great value. Cheers!!!

The food was amazing! We just wanted a snack before dinner. We got the nachos with shrimp. The half order was a great snack to share. We finished it off with the coconut shrimp. Sarah was helpful and the service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a great spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was the halibut fish tacos...triangled shapped, but the sauce was tasty.

I ordered the halibut tacos and hubby got the jerk pork tacos we also ordered dry rubbed wings. The halibut tacos had a great sauce but it looked like Gordon's fisherman frozen fish sticks...‍ We both chose the fries they were ok. My hubby loved his pork tacos had great seasoning and the wings were both our favorite. No wait time.

It was our first time here and it was kinda of late and not much was open late so we decided to give this place a try. We were seated right away and our waitress was friendly. We started with the jerk chicken nachos, the Caribbean hush puppies and wings! Well the apps were delicious! Full of flavor and portions were just right. For main dishes we had the arroz con pollo, the original burger and their fish tacos and grilled chicken sandwich. Well the arroz con pollo was a hit! I am Spanish so I was worried that it wouldn't meet my standards! The sweet plantains cooked perfectly because trust me, some places mess that up! The rice and chicken was bursting with flavor and the black beans were great! The rest of the dishes were great and everyone enjoyed their meals! They do not have a hard liquor license but serve beer and wine! We will be back!!

The first time we were served by Angel at the bar and she made rum runners on the rocks & my wife had the mango paradise. Both were very refreshing! So much so we had several each as we watched the Cubs on TV. Fly the W! Angel and the vibe at the bar is very chill & welcoming. Our second encounter was for dinner a couple of hours after our first encounter and even at 8:30PM there was still a wait. We actually ate outside at one of the booths where its first come first serve. This time we just had a couple of beers each along with our entrees. I had the Seafood Combo which was trigger fish & shrimp (blackened) with 2 sides (fresh greens beans & cole slaw). My wife had the Sunset Shrimp Pasta Bowl which had 9 pieces of shrimp in a cream based sauce which she said was fantastic! We also got a free t-shirt for our efforts! Woohoo! The ruby reds are fantastic. Easy to peel and the cocktail sauce was nice. Should have ordered more. The butter is too watery and doesn't provide much flavor for it. The grouper was bland and boring. Blackened is apparently just burnt without flavor. The cream sauce didn't help. The collard greens I took one bite and that was it. Just nothing to it. The beans and rice was ok. Coconut shrimp was too sweet with the pina sauce. Just ok. Kids loved the kraft Mac and cheese. And the burger was very bland. Nice bun though. The key lime pie was sweet but the crust was good. Their service is quick and the food is served even quicker.

Upon walking in, I wasn't sure that we were going to have a good experience there honestly. It smelled pretty musky and felt very warm. We got there about an hour before trivia started and there were only a handful of people there. We sat at the bar and was greeted right away and ordered some drinks. After being in there a little bit, I guess you sort of get used to the smell - not sure if there were having issues that day or if it's always like that. We looked at the menu and we decided to order a couple of apps - and they were actually really good! We got the buffalo shrimp and the bacon wrapped scallops. The scallops were delicious! Once it got closer to trivia, the place started to fill up! So we decided to stay and play! The locals playing were very nice and we ended up having a good time overall.

There were so many bad things and honestly nothing good except the rainbow we saw going in for dinner. Our friend who lives in St. Augustine wanted to go there for her birthday dinner, so three of us drove down from Jacksonville in two different cars. From the beginning it was a hassle. A hassle to get a table six day ahead of the requested date so we had to go with a 5:45 spot, I called to preorder a vegetable dish as I am a vegetarian and they said the reservation that was so hard to get would have to be cancelled and the entire table would need to do preordered entrees so I passed on that and then I called to ask about the corkage fee to bring my own wine and that was a no. Despite Florida allowing that, I do understand that is at the individual restaurants' discretion, but it is short sighted as that is pure profit for the restaurant. I dine at only high end restaurants locally and when traveling and they all allow byob wine with a corkage fee. We waited for the lady who drove us over to the restaurant to park and once inside (after checking in while she parked and they said we all had to be there), we stood around for another 10 minutes and then asked about our table and the two ladies at the hostess stand did not even seem to know who we were. I did speak to the manager in that time regarding the wine policy and she was not very friendly as neither were the other two people I spoke to on the days prior. When we were seated we were basically told they do things "their way" not that wording but interpretation. You must order everything at once- appetizers, sides, entrees, etc. The exact wording was "it is easier for the kitchen". I am sorry, but who is paying the check here? We did have several special requests regarding no onions for me and a few questions from those of us who had not been there. I knew from the minute we ordered which took us a little time to decide, that there was no way things were going to come out as requested and I was spot on though I did not realize how bad it could get/be. The charcuterie board was a joke. They did seperate the meat from the cheese as asked but it was pathetic and they had the nerve to serve stale Pepperidge Farm assorted crackers with that. A few pieces of other things but primarily PF crackers. Who does that? We ordered two salads to split between the four of us and asked that be the second course along with some bread. Some of the ladies ordered the beef tip appetizer as their entree to follow the charcuterie board and salads. I ordered the vegetable plate and the other lady ordered a filet special. Charcuterie came out and again pathetic, bread came out and beef tips. Not at all what was requested. We watched people get their meals that were seated after us and one a half hours later we still had no salads. We finally asked another server to help us out and got our salads. Two hours later, we still did not have the vegetable plate or the filet. Needless to say, we were over it and found the manager to cash out and leave. They did comp the food we didn't receive and the apps but not the beef tips, bread, or drinks so we still spent $180 plus tip. In my opinion, they should have comped it all as it was such a terrible experience. We left to meet friends at Pesca Rooftop and they generously offered us some of the pizzas they had ordered as they heard about our horrible experience. We should have just gone there from the start. This was a one and done for those of us from Jacksonville. From service to management to food it was a huge disappointment. I sure hope they have a better team with better attitudes and such when they open in Jacksonville as we have lots of great restaurants here and that will not work here.
