I live in South Bozeman and go to the location on Kagy usually, but today I was near Main and REALLY craving my favorite chai in town so decided to pop into this (newer) location for Cafe M - glad I did!! This cafe is much larger than the other spot with plenty of tables and space to sit and eat or even get some work done. Good service and ambiance in here, and I appreciated that they have a few lunchtime options, which offers more than the other cafes. I need to come back and try them out. read more

We stopped by for a quick bite on our way out of town. The food and drinks were prepared quickly and everything we tried was delicious. I especially appreciated that they could turn any breakfast burrito into a bowl to make it gluten free. My husband got the Norris and I got the Gardener gluten free. They were flavored well and even came with a slice of watermelon which our 9 month old loved. This cafe is large and has plenty of seating indoor and out. This seems like it would be a great spot to work remotely from if you're looking for that. They also have a large, clean restaurant that is shared with other businesses in the building. Street parking was fine during the week, but is probably a nightmare on weekends, so fair warning there. read more

The best coronavirus health precautions I've seen anywhere. Social distancing is enforced on the floor and at tables. They have signs that you flip over after using a table so other patrons know the table needs to be sanitized. They soak the keys for the bathroom in a sanitizing bucket. They have lovey outside seating. Everyone in there is friendly. The barista gave us recommendations on drinks. Try the bee sting hot or cold. It's delicious. We stopped in for breakfast. They have 5 choices of breakfast burritos, all with delicious ingredients, and two breakfast sandwiches. They have good prices and the burritos are average in size. Not too big, not too small. Commensurate to the price and won't leave you hungry or extra full. Just a super fun vibe and atmosphere too. Definitely recommend to anyone. read more

This is a gem for coffee and breakfast. Probably not the haunt of the billionaires who frequent Bozeman but this is all-around great. Food is delicious, coffee is available in every style and dimension and it's all so inexpensive for Bozeman (or anywhere). The staff is uniformly pleasant and efficient. A young lady with a Canadian accent took orders and was so very nice, quick and accurate. I heard that they have some people who can't afford to eat as customers and they are kindly fed without calling attention to the beneficiaries or charge. Or boasting about it. Came by to pick up coffee and donuts for run for recovery and couldn't resist trying one of their new lavender rosemary scones! Also got an americano and a hot chocolate. All three were amazing, the coffee wasn't burnt - something that will almost instantly turn me away from going back to a coffee shop - the hot cocoa was decadent and sweet, but the scone.... THE SCONE WAS AMAZING! I hope there are still some when I go back to return the carafes. I also saw a sign for a golden latte type beverage that I WILL be trying ASAP. The prices are great, the flavor combinations for both drinks and food they come up with are impressive, the food is very fresh, and the staff is attentive and friendly. I will be back! read more

Cafe M is normally a great place to grab a quick coffee/muffin but the other day I finally decided I needed to write them a Yelp review. I had the most wonderful person (Ellie or Ellis, brown hair in a braid!) help me and she kept checking in on me making sure all was good throughout my time there. I had a pleasant ordering experience, got the drink special Maple Cardamom Latte. It's very good and not too sweet at all for me. My fiancé was able to get his own container filled up with his latte of choice. We both ordered a couple breakfast burritos and they were really good I was actually happy that they salted the eggs and it had a lot of flavor. If anything I would add a side of salsa for them. I went here last weekend around lunch time, and they were BUSY. I got a soy latte and honestly, it wasn't much to write home about. It could've had more to do with the brand of soy milk they used, and less to do with the barista or the way they made it, but not great. Service was excellent though, even when they were slammed. It was okay but for $3 the Cappuccino was pretty tiny and too much foam. I guess I'm not used to that preparation and more used to my Blue Bottle in San Francisco. I stopped here while mr foodlover got a haircut. We walked all over beautiful downtown Bozeman this morning and got some good deals at Sacks before driving onto Wyoming trying to escape all the smoke in Montana. read more

Cafe M makes the best Americano in Bozeman. Order it in an 8 oz. cup to stay, wait about 5 minutes to let it cool, and drink it quickly. They are incredibly selective with their beans. When their single Ethiopian was on rotation, it made for one of the most complex coffee experiences I've ever had. I wouldn't go here for anything other than coffee, except for maybe the wifi. It's not a terrible place. It's just slow and EXPENSIVE. I ordered a London Fog the other day; it took more than 10 minutes and they charged me $4.65 for what is a cup of tea with a little more milk than usual and honey rather than sugar. Everything there is expensive, not just the tea. Might as well just go to Starbuck's, at least they're faster. I like the atmosphere at Cafe M fine, but it's ridiculous to charge nearly $5 for a cup of tea. read more

Wow...Hard to describe my experience. I get coffee here on a regular basis.I like Cafe M coffee. I typically go through the drive through. It's always funny to see if I can actually order at the "order kiosk" or, more often than not, I wait a couple minutes, no one responds, and I happily drive up to the window, where eventually someone happily takes my order. My wife and I actually joke about the drive through, but have NEVER been put off by the service. I understand, and appreciate, sometimes a business can be busy. Well, today was different. After waiting at the kiosk, with no response, I drove to the pickup window. I sat patiently, until the "Barista" walked to the window, put on a head set, took an order from a customer behind me at the kiosk, then promptly took off the headset, and walked away. No, "I'll be with you in a minute". I then tapped on the window, and was greeted with RAGE! I was told I did it all wrong, and needed to go back around. Wow!!! I was treated simply like crap. The Barista was rude, angry, and had zero idea of how to treat a customer. I just wanted a coffee. What I got was an awakening to a generation of entitled, rude, pretentious, and spoiled brats.
