Big City Eats in Windsor! I have lived in NYC and LA, and this spot is very comparable to places you'd eat at in those cities. Specialty coffee and Ramen. Executing both with bold unique flavors. I had the Vegan Dumpling Ramen . Mild heat, good flavor and surprisingly not super oily! Will be back, cute merch, street parking.

Their food is great, as well as their lattes. The people working there were super nice and approachable. And the location being in such a busy part of Windsor, was really cozy and made it feel at home. I got their plain beef ramen and a chai latte, the latte was one of my favourites in the world and I will definitely be coming back again.

Package of ramen noodles as a bowl. No free wi-fi. Outdoor chairs inside. Pour over coffee - meh.

This is a very cool coffee place in downtown Windsor. It has been open for approximately one year and is run by a young Korean gentleman. Funky interior, lots of art - especially cup art from the owner. Two floors of coffee drinking goodness - the attic is a nice ha out place. Coffee is sourced from Colonial Coffee and they have pour over and siphon. Also many espresso based drinks. Didn't try any of the baked goods but they look fresh - I suspect from the owners mother. Will have to come back to try the ramen and Korean hot dogs with kimchi!!!! This is a gem for sure and hopefully will remain open for a long time!!!

One of the best lattes I've ever had

There's something special about Cafe March, and you sense it from the moment you enter this quaint coffee shop. Considerable care, planning, and heart went into its creation, and continues to pour out of its owner, who attentively greets and treats every customer with, well . . . care and heart. Likewise, each baked good and every bowl of ramen is made with the same passion for pleasing the customers. With your first check-in on Yelp, you can use a 15% off coupon good off your entire order. I took advantage of this and ordered several items, including a latte, perfectly crafted with excellent beans that made this one of the best lattes I've ever had. I was very hungry, so I started with an oatmeal bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was slightly sweet with a great texture, and wonderful flavor. I split a bowl of beef ramen with my daughter, and we both thought the flavor was phenomenal. For dessert, I also took someone's suggestion and ordered two green tea cookies, which both my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed. They are moist, and the white chocolate chips compliment the green tea flavor perfectly. Parking was easy--there were numerous item slots right in front of the business. I enjoyed this so much that I took several flyers and business cards back to our Irish dance studio for the parents who sit and wait for their kids, so they can enjoy a treat and a cup of coffee or tea instead of sitting in the lobby of the dance studio. I highly recommend cafe March 21st.

Well well well.  Been waiting to go here since its opened but never got a chance till yesterday and I've got to say this place did not disappointed.  The guy working was super friendly and explained many things to us (how all the food is freshly hand made/baked every day, their pour over process, how they make their cold brew coffee.)  Very informative.  They use the pour over method for their standard coffee with different beans to choose from (they have little sample containers so you can smell or eat...  if you want. ..the beans) and they do the pour over directly infront of you,  which is nice since I haven't seen that before.  So the pour over coffee was great.   The also freshly squeeze their orange juice in front of you.  I got a soy latte which was pretty tasty, it's not the best I've had in Windsor but probably top 10... Maybe even 5. Baked goods..... Soooo good! I tried a couple different cookies and brownies... Awesome!  And the ambiance!  Awesome!!  I really liked how this place was decorated.  Very woody with trinkets adorning the walls and some pretty cool art work/coffee doodles scattered around the place.  They did a really good job. They also have an upstairs which is basically like the upstairs of a little house, but they put couches around and a foozeball table. I'd say this is probably one of my favourite coffee places in Windsor so far.  In terms of espresso based drinks I wouldn't say it's the best in Windsor but pretty good. But as an overall definetly one of the better and more unique places!

    Raspberry macaroons.

I was staying in the Holiday Inn around the block, and decided to check this place out because of the reviews. I loved it! If I lived here, I would be here every day. I would love to have a room in my house that is this fun. There's little decorations all over the place if you look carefully, including writing on the chair backs. I only had the raspberry macaroons, but if everything else is as delicious, then I would love everything here. There's boardgames and outlets, so with the right crew, 3-4 people would work best, it would be easy to spend some serious time here.

A great little startup that I truly hope last the test of time. Selection is slightly limited, both for drinks and desserts, but everything we tried was well worth it. Lemonade was fresh squeezed, no sugar or water added...strictly fresh oranges and lemons. Their green tea (Machu?) cheese cakes (topped with either blueberries or cherries), while small, are exceptional and at $2.50, for their size, a great deal. Overall, a very nice and modern coffee/dessert bar. If I lived here, I would convince them to start making London Fog and have unrefined sugar...this could easily be my new evening hangout!

Hand drip coffee is really nice, the macroons and brownies are a little pricey but they're very good. The nutella latte is a must try!

Hubby and I laughed at how many times we zipped past the restaurant without noticing it. My husband and I both ordered the Major Tom Khatsu, which has a coconut chicken broth base. The chicken katsu pieces were the perfect level of crispy without being heavily breaded. There was also a nice little kick to the dish, which made it so, so yummy. Our friends got the Shoyu ramen with pork belly, and the Corned Beef ramen. The Shoyu dish seemed to be more enjoyable. Though we stuck with water, cans of Faygo pop seemed to be the drink offerings - other than alcoholic beverages. Areas for improvement include the waiting. Johnny Noodle King is a small place, with a main dining area and then what seems to be a bar area attached. We initially waited by the door for our table along with another small group (we were a party of four). We were then asked to go to the bar area to wait so that it would clear the door, but found it interesting how we were asked to move but not the other group. Also, we were standing away from the doormat we were not obstructing anyone's movements. The wait was long, and we asked if we could order food to the bar area (as opposed to waiting for a table). We were told 'no', yet there was a table full of patrons who were eating. There was no notification system, so our friend had to keep going to the front to see if our table was ready. Don't get me wrong; 'hooray' to Johnny Noodle King for having such great business volume. However, they need a way to manage it so that people will not be put off. Once we were seated, we did have good service from our waitstaff, and the food was very good. My husband and I plan to return to explore more of the menu. Hopefully, we can pick a time of day when waiting won't be such a big issue.

I got the robata sampler: some notable standouts were: -the triggerfish jerky: thin cut and with a hint of sweetness, the fish flavor was delicate and tasty. It reminded me a little of the dried cuttlefish I ate growing up in Hawaii, but a much more refined version - chicken meatball: this was juicy, hearty, and had great flavor. The teriyaki sauce was flavorful without being too sweet - shrimps: these were expertly grilled. They were tender inside, and had a nice hint of charcoal flavor from the grilling - pork belly: this was a great cut of meat. Very decadent and rich, with lots of umami from marinating before grilling We also got some appetizers that were quite serviceable. Overall I'd give this place a 4.5 stars if I could.

We started with chicken karaage bites and calamari. Both had delicious dipping sauces and were nicely fried. Both apps came out very quickly and were hot. I'd give the apps a 4/5. Everyone really enjoyed the udon noodles, most of us got miso butter pan fried. This meal was super flavorful and had a lot of the miso butter! The noodles were perfectly cooked and there were a lot of the extras added on top for additional flavors. The ginger tori soup was also enjoyed. The servers were on top of it, bringing us water carafes and everything we needed quickly. The restaurant is low lit which created a nice vibe. Obsessed with the stained glass entryway! The restaurant is located in the beautiful area of Corktown with the Grand Central Station just steps away, giving you something to do while you wait for your table. Typically very easy to find parking.
