    HEAVENLY DESERT CROISSANT

Nice little cafe that serves smoothies, chai, breakfast tacos. We had quiche bites which were okay but the star of the show was the dessert croissant, which was HEAVENLY!! It's a small restaurant and the guys making the food did it all so the service didn't miss a beat. This is a must go place!!! Note: they're only open Thursday-Sunday.

Order via kiosks. Tiny venue. Seats about 20. Known for croffles: croissant dough pressed in waffle iron; filled with sweet or savory.

Pronounced "MARE-ree-uh" -- at least that is what I overheard the staff say. Service. FRIENDLY because they asked if it was our first time -- since we did not immediately walk over to one of the kiosks to place a "contactless" order -- when we came in. Or, maybe it was the slightly confused-deer-in-headlights-look we had because the place was VERY snug, to say the least? Using order tablet was intuitive, but what if you wanted a 12 oz. pour in a 16 oz. cup? And wanted a sugar packet on the side? Then, you are limited to the options. Potable. Shots in the Dark was OK. Ambiance. Perfect for EXTROVERTS because you hear EVERY conversation in the place at normal conversation level. So, there's a couple that was in town for doing tasting menus for their wedding stuff... gaggle of gals for bachelorette party and posting their experience on socials... remote workers on laptops listening in the cafe conversations. It's a fishbowl experience. Overall, it was.... ok. Coffee was ok. I am usually not in the mood to engage and kumbaya when I vacation. But you know, do whatever blows your hair back...

We were craving iced latte, so I found this place and was intrigued with the vegan matcha soft serve, so we had to give it a try. The staff was very friendly, but I was a little confused with the way they do the business.. you can't ender the Cafe unless you dine in. If not, you have to order at the kiosk on the other side of the building and pick up your items from a window. It felt a little rude to me. I get the new era of doing business, but for some reason, the big sign at the entrance that you can't enter did not sit well with me. Anyway, we got into the ordering screen, and it took us like 10 minutes to figure out how to order what we wanted as any kind of customization you can do (even choosing between iced or hot) you make in mamy steps after selecting the base. Finally, we got what we wanted. Tables outside were pretty dirty, but the staff quickly cleaned them for us. Matcha vegan soft serve was good, and I liked that they had 4 different kinds of waffle cones to go with it, all of them vegan too. I went with the matcha waffle cone but was a little disappointed as both the soft serve and the cone didn't have much of a matcha flavor. The iced coffee was good, and the pineapple smoothie was very refreshing.

I went here on a Thursday morning and had a great experience! The cafe wasn't super busy, and everything was really delicious. The ambiance was very chic and had a solid vibe. The food here was really good. I got the avocado toast + a Nutella banana croffle. The bread for the toast was great, and the avocado was yummy. I wish i had gotten the smoked salmon topping though. The croffle was really good. Their croissant dough was nice and buttery + crisp. I'd get the strawberry one (the tartness & cream was amazing) next time or the plain (as it could definitely be delicious on its own). The staff was really nice there too! They had our food and drinks out quickly. I'd for sure come back here again! I hope the construction clears up by their location

The food is great and it's not too pricey the service was very great and they have board games. The coffee is like nothing I've tasted it's super rich and super creamy and rich plus the place is super comfortable. Shane and Mr Dallas are great people but they suck at uno

Açaí bowl but my kids already dug into it so it's not as pretty

We couldn't have been more pleased with this adorable little place. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting, a very local feel and the man who waited on us was super nice and accommodating. The food was delicious, definitely healthy and homemade and we left feeling light, nourished and full. I was impressed with the clean and high quality ingredients. It's not a very big place but still very warm, comfortable and there's small tables you order at which I found to be efficient. I would love to visit again and get the ginger lemon elixir or trying making it myself at home!

Such a cozy, fancy coffee shop. I usually get the affogato. The service is always friendly and the food and drinks are perfectly made. Great place to hang out with friends and chat or to go alone with a good book. Cafe Meria is a great addition to Charlevoix.

The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews.

He even wished my mom a happy Mother's Day before taking our order, which was a nice touch. We started with the Street Corn Nachos as an appetizer, then ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a grilled portobello mushroom sandwich, both with fries on the side (an additional $4 each). This was an excellent place to bring my mom since she's vegetarian, and the restaurant had plenty of vegetarian-friendly options. The food was excellent, especially the nachos -- the queso was amazing. The restaurant also gives you a lot of customization options, like swapping chips for fries for an extra $4 or adding protein to the nachos for an additional charge. That said, while the nachos were really good, they were still $18 without any protein, which honestly felt overpriced for chips, cheese, and vegetables. We came during lunch service, and overall the food, service, and view made for a great experience. However, it is definitely on the expensive side. Most entrees seemed to range from around $20-30. Still, if you're willing to spend a little more for quality food, generous portions, and a great atmosphere, it's definitely worth visiting.
