I couldn't finish the Egg on Your Face, so I had the rest for lunch (it was almost as good cold!). But it was DELICIOUS. Everything was really tasty and the croissants are so flaky. Service is fast - but you can tell some of the items are freshly made (like the French toast and panini). The atmosphere is adorable & quaint. Seating is a bit crowded, but that makes it charming.

The restaurant didn't provide a high chair for our baby, which was a bit disappointing. The service was good with our waitress checking with us to order and being prompt and attentive. Here is what we ordered: Grilled Cheese O+G (8/10) - the bread with the grilled cheese and caramelized onions were cooked well. The homemade ketchup had a sweet taste to it and was brought out a little colder than room temperature. I probably would have preferred the ketchup/tomato sauce to be a bit warmer. The Chicken Melt (8/10) - this sandwich was pretty big. It had grilled chicken in a creamy sauce, some Cole slaw (actually a lot of Cole slaw) and some dill pickles. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat and I think it had a little too much Cole slaw, but it was a good sandwich, nonetheless. Overall, I good experience with a few suggestions in my review that I think would have made it really great.

The food looks better than it tasted…read more The schnitzel was huge and caught my eye but it was a tad dry and bland for my liking. The beet salad was refreshing and bright paired with the schnitzel. The honey garlic ribs was also dry, my jaws had a workout. We got the lemon glazed donut to go and that was nice and fluffy, not too sweet.

Our favorite meal in Montreal! It's the sister restaurant to Joe Beef (which we also went to), but…read morethe vibe is completely different. The inside is so spacious with a loft feel. There are huge windows on one side letting in a lot of light. It seems like a great place to have a large group dinner or event there. We ordered the deviled brussel sprouts, bomba schnitzel, and chicken alexandre for lunch. We also ended up getting a cookie and donut from their pastry counter afterwards. It was a ton of food, but I wish I had room to try more things. The brussel sprouts were some of the best brussels I've ever had. There was so much flavor packed in there. I could have done without the blue cheese, but I still loved it. I usually wouldn't order rotisserie chicken at a restaurant, but this was cooked perfectly. It was so juicy and tender. The schnitzel was amazing too. Overall, it just really felt like simple food and ingredients done well. I was very impressed. I would love to go back here again. This was such a satisfying meal, and a great way to end our trip.

The Short Version: Tiny no frills basement unit restaurant…read morewith equally small menu. Tasty food at bargain basement prices (for these days). The Long Version: My husband and I came here for dinner and we thought it was great. The food was tasty and the price was very affordable. The wait was a bit long though because it appeared to be a one-man show. We got the Classic Shanghai Wonton Soup ($9.99) and the Classic Siomai ($8.99) and shared both. The wontons and Siomai seemed to be made in-house and were large and delicious. We also got free fortune cookies. The wontons in the wonton soup were filled with ground pork and I believe a leafy green vegetable called shepherds purse. The wrapper wasn't too thick. The broth was a bit salty but still ok. The broth had tiny dried shrimps in it, as well as green onions and seaweed. The seaweed had a strong fishy smell to it, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but overall I still enjoyed the soup. The Siomai were filled with sticky rice, beans and ground meat. You only get 4 but they were quite large. We really liked these. We only saw the one man working there, and I think he did everything, including cooking the food. He didn't say very much but was polite. There are only a handful of tables in the entire restaurant. I think it seats about 14 people. Decor is very basic and except for the plants along the wall it's pretty utilitarian. I suspect it's popular with students as it's right by Concordia University. Street parking only. Review #63 (2026)

It looked cool, so I told my parents we'll go on our way back home to Toronto from Quebec City. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, and I'll admit the waiting area isn't the best. When we finally got our table, it was tucked in the corner of the restaurant by the windows. Thankfully it was insulated well despite a cold night. The food concept is pretty unique here, as Southeast Asian cuisine isn't too common overall. We decided to share a bunch of dishes to increase the variety of foods. Pork Belly Steamed Buns - Excellent Laksa Soup with Chicken - Excellent, and I like how they separated the satay on a spoon. Satay Babi - This was an item from their special menu, which is basically satay pork skewers. It was also very good. Fried chicken - Nothing special, could probably skip this. Char kway teow - Very uniquely done. I wasn't expecting clams on it, and it was an excellent addition. Service was also amazing. There are some other dishes that I wasn't able to try, and I would say the uniqueness of this place will entice me to return here.
