My work day is quite busy and I'm impatient by nature so I did not appreciate standing around for 40 minutes just to wait to order. Then I hear her telling someone it's another 40 minutes for their food. I don't expect it to be quick to be honest, but would have wanted the opportunity to place an order. I was getting angrier and angrier by the second. They need to be more upfront and post on their truck that they take orders in phases so expect to wait 30min + to place your order. ESPECIALLY when you come downtown ... because majority of us are in the middle of our workdays and not able to spend our entire hour just waiting to order. It's inconsiderate and downright rude. I ended up walking away just as they were starting to take orders again because I don't want to support them and I don't have time to wait another 40 minutes when I've already spent over 45 minutes out of the office just waiting to order (plus my walk time). No food (especially heart attack inducing food) is worth that. Arghhh I can't recall the last time I've been so angry and irritated. I always say expectations are everything. Never be surprised by the price... Assuming he used to sell Managua sadly none is to be found here but what you'll find is a great assortment of budge friendly items like donuts, pork hash, musubi, chicken and fried noodles. As I approach for my selection a gentleman was a delight ordering two pork hash 2/$1, fried noodles $3 and chicken $2...all was $6! Parked along the park you're able to take advantage to an impromptu picnic though we all basically take it togo as I did to work and fueled my morning for a productive work flow lol! The noodles are plain no cabbage or any veggies not even green onions just some sliced char siu and it was a bit dry but satisfied a hungry appetite, and the pork hash was a tiny single bite size tease and the chicken is similar to a chicken fried steak as it's boneless coated with mochiko it was okay and I was just happy to have a budge friendly choice to start my day. I decided on the Nothing Mayjah plate that had teriyaki beef, mac salad, two shrimp tempura, 3 pork hash, and fried noodles which covered the whole bottom of the plate. The actual plate looked very similar to the sample ones they had on a table in front the truck. The teriyaki beef slices had good flavor but were a bit dry as they were cooked ahead of time. The Mac salad had tuna and corn in it which was different. The shrimp tempura didn't seem to have well defined pieces of shrimp inside, more like batter with bits of ground up and reformed shrimp. The pork hash were great with good flavor. The noodles covered the whole bottom of the plate (no rice) and had green onions, char siu, and kamaboko. Unfortunately the noodles were bland and could have used more seasoning. I still enjoyed the plate and you can't beat the amount of food you get for the price. If a few things were improved on they would get 5 stars! I'd be happy to try other plates from them and see if the quality varies.
