Went on a Sunday morning. Line wasn't too bad, but they were having some technical difficulties. Staff are super sweet though! It's pretty cozy, but there's a decent amount of seating indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend their white chocolate macadamia latte. It's a special on their site, but I didn't see it on their drink menu inside. They also have a thin mint latte. The bacon egg and cheese is so filling I split it into two meals. Love the addition of the jam for a bit of sweetness. The honey bun is perfection. It's definitely sweet, but not too extreme. read more

Seeing that I'm from Los Angeles, I had to sample a little bit of everything. The spicy salami bread was the bomb. I was just about to place my order when they brought out something that caught my eye. It was the mango lime pie which was so delicious, creamy and refreshing. Thank you, Syd, for encouraging me to get it. The way you described it made me want to try it. I haven't finished tasting everything yet. I'll definitely be back. Finally went for breakfast and I was amazed. All the breakfast sandwiches are made to order. You can never beat fresh and innovative food. Bread is made in house!!! Have been here multiple times for their variety of soft serves but finally caught breakfast. When in Brooklyn, Dolly's should be on your list and if it's not, add It. I happened to be in the area and I remembered I had this place bookmarked. I follow them on IG and they have some amazing looking baked goods including honey buns, xl chocolate chip cookies, various cakes, and soft serve ice cream (in the warmer months) plus some various savory items too. I apparently missed the sticky toffee banana bread because by the time I got there it was already gone. I decided on a chocolate chip cookie and the brown butter Rice Krispie treat. The line was a little long but it moved pretty fast. I ate a little of the Rice Krispie treat, it was pretty awesome, full of specks of vanilla bean and tons of marshmallows in it. I definitely will stop by again soon to try the ice cream. read more

Came 15 mins before their reopening time at 3 PM on a Friday and was lucky to snag the last coco ube morning bun! It was unbelievably good... crunchy and chewy and unique from every other ube pastry I've had. Also loved the sticky toffee banana bread and XL chocolate chip cookie. 100% worth the hike from my neighborhood in Queens. Will be back for soft serve! read more

The ambiance is immaculate. It's cozy in here but certainly doesn't feel small. There's gorgeous wooden counter surface by the windows and the color palette (deep green, wooden browns, and white high round top tables) is tastefully chosen. The sandwich is pretty generous in size; the sesame bun is pillowy soft and the everything sandwich comes with cream cheese and a full hash brown--a texturally perfect combination. The ube morning bun has coarse ube sugar throughout and I liked to split it in half for 2 different sittings because it's just that big. What a cozy spot! The last time I came, it was Bread & Butter still. The menu appears to change quite a bit, but I feel like I preferred the options when it was still its former self. Either way, it's still definitely worth a visit. On my most recent time going I got the ube morning bun which was quite something -- there were so many textures going on at once! Not sure how they achieved that, but it was delicious! If you're in the neighborhood, I highly recommend giving them a shot. God tier focaccia. Must get the French onion focaccia. It's buttery, fluffy, slightly crunchy, and sweet from the caramelized onions. The jalapeño cheddar was perfectly spicy and cheesy. The croissant grilled cheese was insane. The croissant was almost like a biscuit meets croissant in terms of texture. The tomato soup was sweeter than I had expected but I loved it. They for sure improved their cookie from the last time and made it ENORMOUS which I loved. It would be even better if it was CHUNKIER instead of so thin but it still had a wonderful chew to it and was gooey from the chocolate. Both the soft serves they offer are amazing. The Brooklyn blackout was packed with Oreo and brownie pieces and the ice cream itself had a slightly coffee/bitter cocoa edge to it which I loved. The banofee cheesecake ice cream was most comparable to banana pudding. Would've loved if the caramel and cheesecake base was spread more evenly throughout but otherwise was great. I've come by a few times over the last few months to shuttered gates. Thinking they had sold out and closed for the day. Looking for my favorite bakery and this morning, I was surprised with a new name and rebrand. I'm incredibly grateful that it's the same owners with the same inventive delicious offerings. It seems they don't bake bread like they used to, hence the name change/rebrand. I can still get my ube lattes and buns, as well as all the other delicious confections, I hope the vegan peppers and sausage focaccia makes a return. Thanks guys for staying around. Tried this spot for the first time today and it was absolutely delicious! I had the grilled cheese croissant with tomato soup and my husband had the butter pecan bar, both were absolute slam dunks and the coffee was good. I am taking a star off because the interior is not serving this business well. Overall this space looks huge but with a very small area closed off for the front of the store. The tables were extremely small and it was uncomfortable to enjoy our food. Everything was served in a box and put in a large to-go bag, it would be nice to simply have things served on a plate. I returned my paper bag after I saw someone else do the same, I see a lot of unnecessary waste. It seems a lot of people were waiting around for food, they need to speed things up somehow. The displays for the pastries are very tall with wood doors on the back which make the space feel very claustrophobic, replacing with glass would open the space up nicely. Unless there is a high volume baking side business, then the kitchen does not need to take up so much space and hopefully they can re-allocate space to the storefront for more seating. And they should consider an open kitchen. There is so much potential here, I would like to see them succeed very much. Since they are new maybe they are still working out some of the kinks. Regardless I will definitely be back, I might just have to get it to go which makes it hard to become a regular go-to spot. read more
