Banana mixed berry smoothie
Mia T.

Eclectic spot on Park Ave with food options. I ordered a smoothie which was only $5 and was super refreshing. Drinks didn't take very long to be ready but the food did take a bit more time on a busy Sunday morning. There's inside and outside seating. I appreciated the heating lamps outside as well!

I am just in love with this place! The baristas are always so nice and such a beautiful environment. The drinks and food were also delicious and fairly priced - unlike most cafes these days! What really gets me though is the art collection - it is seriously floor to ceiling, so much to look at. I have tried all of the cafes in the area and I keep finding myself here. I think I have a favorite!

My favorite cafe to go to in roc! The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. Their drinks are great and the service is as well. The only complaint I have is that their cookies are not the best, but I believe they get them from another place locally.

Chocolate Hazelnut Croissant & Chai Latte

I was in the mood for a pastry and coffee and came here. The setting with some tables, a counter against the wall, draperies, photos & paintings creates an appealing ambiance to sit and chat with a bunch of friends or just sit quietly to sip and eat your meal. It has an ample menu of cocktails, sandwiches, and a few pastries, coffee, tea. I really liked it.

Came here on a Saturday so it was super crowded but there was a lot of seating both inside and outdoors. Wanted to get a bagel but it was a 30 minute wait so I got a pistachio muffin which was great. They have both coffee and cocktails and overall it's a very cozy, artsy vibe. There is no public wifi which is the main downside if you're looking for a study spot

Cute cafe on Park Ave! Came here around lunch time on a weekday and luckily it wasn't too busy when we we got there! I love all of the art inside. They have seating inside as well. I got the Presto Pesto with a side salad (+$1) and an iced mocha. I thought the mocha was okay, and I enjoyed my food. I think this is a cute place and a great place to meet up with friends or get some work done.

I went in while visit Rochester and needed a spot to kill an hour and wake up with a coffee. I ordered a iced latte with oat milk & amaretto which was a great choice. Would recommend to anyone looking for coffee!

Okay let me start by saying Cafe sasso is a legit coffee joint in the grand ol city of rochacha! A real Funky joint, artsy, classy, open-minded flare! They Gita great coffee/tea/paninis/cocktails/muffins/pastries et Al....如果你有空的话,你一定要来这里尝试一,尤其是因为你绝对不会后悔的!哈哈哈哈哈哈 git er done! I luv this joint, I used to come here a lot back in the day, great place to come and get a nice cup of Joe and just really chill out! Hahah enjoy it! Now how did this place get their name? I just found this out.....so this joint used to be boulder coffee like 7,8 years ago. and the word "sasso" means "stone" in Italian. So essentially cafe sasso is like the "little boulder"'coffee shop Hahhahaha like the "sasso" took the place of the really big "sasso" the boulder, after boulder coffee closed! Isn't this place nuts! Hahahhah But it is way cool!

Mango Smoothie

6/5 stars. My favorite cafe in Rochester. The staff is friendly and work diligently to get all orders in. The cafe is decorated so fun and there are lots of unique places to sit. I loved to study here throughout college. The coffee is wonderful, as well as the specialty coffees. When I'm in need of a non caffeinated drink the mango smoothie is super refreshing. The best part is the number of gluten free items (sandwiches in particular) that are made GF without an up charge.

Excellent little coffee shop. It's not huge so seating inside can be a little tight, but there is additional seating outside. I try to time my visits for when it's a little slow as I to get some writing done while having my coffee. It's not the most ideal coffee shop to work from, but it's possible during slower hours. The coffee is delicious. So far all the food I've tried has been amazing. Really, this is a place you visit to have a chat with friends or a meal. Or liquor if that's your thing. Parking is 95% street parking, which can be limited to an hour.

Had some time to kill before the shows tonight at Comedy at the Carlson so I popped into this cozy joint to write some jokes. This place is really nice. Lots of cool art on the wall and the couch is comfy! There's a giant peace sign out front so if you like your coffee shops with a bit of war this place is not for you. They have cocktails too but I didn't get one because ol' Dusty has a little bit of a drinking problem hahaha (seriously) but I'm sure they're great. Nice baristas. Nice coffee. Five stars!

Perfect little spot on Park Avenue. Come for coffee in the morning stay for drinks in the afternoon. You'll feel like you're sitting in an art gallery! Lovely sitting inside or out. Service is fast and friendly. Coffee is served piping hot!

Franklin's Tower breakfast sandwich-soo delicious!
Christine E.

First time here, honestly came for the sandwich on the menu I saw online while looking for a new coffee shop lol. The customer service is on fleek, friendly, welcoming, and great recommendations. I got the stone roller espresso drink and franklins tower breakfast sandwich. Absolutely excellent flavor and the the ambiance is so chill n comfy. I will definitely be coming back again and recommending it to many others:)

The latte I ordered was pretty delicious. The interior decoration is another attractive feature. However it was pretty busy when we visited.

Great cafe with lots of cool art. Parking can be tricky. The Great Gatsby is a must try drink if you're stopping by just once.

Staff were pretty quick to clean up tables so there was always somewhere to sit down. The Iced Mango Matcha Latte was my favorite, where you can taste a sweet matcha flavor with a hint of mango. All of the desserts looked delicious, but what peaked my interest was the Pistachio Croissant. They warm it up for you, which allows for the croissant to have that flakey crunch to it paired with the pistachio paste.

Whenever I drive by the parking lot is slammed. I knew this place had to be good. There is almost completely instantly a line and I felt lucky to find a table. It's simply so popular, I don't know if it's large enough. The tables are close so if you're trying to have a private conversation-you won't get it here. There is a variety of seating options. Comfy conversation chairs, a booth banquette with chairs on the other side, chairs and tables, and a bar top along the windows with outside eating for warm sunny days. The cups are a rich brown color with gold probably Arabic writing. The dessert case is filled with sumptuous fruit shaped mousse desserts. The coffee itself is beyond compare. There are boxed games. Things are delivered to your table on wooden trays. It's so elegant. I cannot say enough nice things. The staff is so friendly. I had a Nutella latte and a raspberry dessert. I asked which dessert was best, the lady at the register said the mango. Mango is not my thing but she said next best is raspberry. It's the perfect size. A hard crisp shell, creamy mousse and a perfect raspberry center. I also got a pistachio latte. Both were excellent.

I always like to look for espresso specials and we were not disappointed by the selection. My fiance got The Snug with maple syrup and molasses bitters. I was too afraid to try any drinks with bitters (I hate how it tastes in cocktails) but I took a sip of The Snug and it tasted great, I would definitely try that next time. I had the B.B.L. latte which had banana syrup, it was more on the sweet side but not overly sweet (I would avoid it if you don't enjoy a sweet palate, try a latte with bitters instead!) It was something unique to try and I was happy with my choice. There was also plenty of seating which is always a huge plus in the winter in Rochester. We had no trouble getting a table. I should also note that there was a very limited food selection here -- about 3 baked goods offered. So if you're looking for food and coffee, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Overall I would happily try out Ugly Duck again! I'm curious if they have outdoor seating in the warmer months.

The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and helpful. I decided to tthe borek. It's a pastry that can be made either savory or sweet, I decided to have mine with. Spinach and cheese. I also ordered the baklava, and a little cup of the Turkish coffee (whoa!!). The Borek , I didn't look that big in the case spoiler alert, it was.... The dough was wonderfully flaky , and the filling was amazingly savory. I liked the spinach, and I'm not sure what type of cheese it was. But it played with the spinach perfectly it reminded me very much of a spanakopita, which I also love. The baklava was also excellent. It was perfectly flaky on the outside, and the honey, and the nuts inside were just fantastic. It is one of the better baklava that I have ever had. Now let's talk about the Turkish coffee. I've had Lebanese coffee, and I loved, and Ithought was strong.... the Turkish coffee makes Lebanese coffee taste like decaf that you would get from a cheap corner diner. With just a little bit of milk and sugar, it was perfect it was rich, and it was strong! At this point, I could probably make it to six hours to my destination without a car :). All of this great food, and I was only roughly out the door 20 bucks. For such high-quality food, it was worth it. I hope I'm back in Rochester again, because I would easily stop here again.

I came in for something simple and left fully committed to the experience. The Turkish coffee arrived in the most adorable cup, strong and velvety with that classic, unapologetic depth, paired with a soft, rose-kissed Turkish delight that made the whole thing feel like a ritual rather than just a caffeine stop. I took my time to enjoy every sip of it. And then the rice pudding. Served warm in a rustic clay bowl, topped generously with pistachios--it hit that perfect balance of creamy, lightly sweet, and comforting without being heavy. One of those desserts that sneaks up on you and suddenly you're scraping the bottom of the dish. The space itself is cozy and thoughtfully put together, and the people working there genuinely elevate it. Kind, welcoming, and happy to let you linger a bit, which feels increasingly rare. The first thing I noticed is how healthy and vibrant the plants look and to me that was the winning point. This is a great cozy spot for folks who don't enjoy social interactions and high energy vibes. It's more for the slow in the moment experience to sip and relax.
