It's been a while since I've been to Fuego, so I decided to stop by recently while going through the Central Business District. The shop itself has nice vibes: not too crowded, good space between tables, some nice artwork, a couple plants... just very chill. It'd be the perfect spot to bring my laptop and get some work done if I was in the area more. My *go to* drink is the French Quarter, their "signature 16 ounce iced drink made with cold brew, milk, chicory and agave." (My other fave pick is "The Uncle Marble", which is a latte with agave and cinnamon.) Their drink menu isn't necessarily extensive, but it's reasonable. Very minimal selection of cookies or baked goods to eat with your coffee - it'd be nice if they had more to offer in this regard. Unfortunately, I'd also add that the staff here tends to not be especially welcoming - as others have said, they can be a bit gruff / not friendly. Given their shop contains at least a sign or two that say "Come for coffee, stay for community" (which is also on the back of their tumblers, etc), you'd think that would be the ambiance you're walking in to... but no, you probably won't be feeling that sense of community. TL;DR Decent iced coffee drinks, but a bit of a limited selection (and no pastries or much of anything to add to your drink order). Also generally lacking that sense of community that is printed around the coffee shop. read more

I consistently get the iced matcha latte here, no complaints. Interior vibe is modern/industrial, with plenty of tables and seating. Its a good coffee shop to stop at if you're in the city center and there is plenty of on street parking. The walls are always covered in art for sale, its practically a gallery. I think I've been spoiled by Seattle coffee and drinks as this one didn't do it for me. It was heavy on the oat milk with only a small matcha flavor. This is a great, funky/eclectic spot to grab a cup of coffee. Whether you want outdoor seating, a table to sit in front of your computer for hours or an Instagram ready comfy fireplace & couch seating area, Fuego has them all. It was packed on the Saturday afternoon that we stopped in but we managed to snag the chairs in the downstairs corner by the fireplace. Super cute and cozy and as I said above IG ready. I love when a coffee shop has a signature drink and Fuego did not disappoint. I grabbed the Uncle Marble iced (also available hot) latte, which is a latte with the addition of cinnamon and agave. Loved it and would recommend. My husband had a cappuccino which was also very good. Definitely a place we will visit again when visiting Rochester. I just came here for my first time thanks to Yelp. I'm so thankful for Yelp recommending this spot. I'm currently looking for cool coffee spots to hang out in and this is definitely a great one. The atmosphere is modern and hip; open and green. A lot of spider plants and other green plants with modern yet old furniture that give the place a different vibe. There are many many windows that keeps this place open and bright even in the winter. The menu choices are small but all delicious ... I recently had a to-go cappuccino (small in size but high quality), and a slice of almond brioche, which I highly recommend. I can best describe it as a thick slice of sweet bread with almonds, soaked in a sticky syrup. A little messy, but well worth it. Readers with disabilities or difficulties - there is a small staircase if you enter on Woodbury Blvd. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance, but I wasn't able to find it (this was pre-coffee). I'm a big coffee nut and last year a stranger recommended I try Fuego. I stumbled in to try their iced coffee after a bicycle accident relegated me to crutches. This becomes relevant. Parking was a pain. I entered the first door without much ado and found about 5- stairs between me and the barista counter. Now I don't know if anyone reading this has ever experienced stairs when one of your legs don't work but it is quite a conundrum. I was able to navigate the stairs by leaning all of my body weight onto a single crutch while pulling myself up to the next stair, and I repeated that process 4-5 times, then reached the top. Fuego coffee shop is a beverage cooler and a counter and a series of tables and chairs situated in such a manner as for the baristas to monitor the sitting space easily. I heard that this were a late-in-the day destination where woke postmodern liberals gather together to criticize capitalism. I was ignored for some moments as I perused the stale croissant section. That is when employees gathered around me and began growling, they screamed at and threatened me and did their best to throw me out. Being functionally paralytic, and apparently being refused service, I went through the painstaking ordeal of semi-falling down 4-5 discriminatory steps, realizing only now that I may have stumbled into a safespace for woke liberals to converse in risky dialogue away from the prying judgement of the public. I don't know what they're doing but it's not coffee. Good coffee requires good beans. Great coffee requires love for roasting. The staff and owner must be off their rocker. There's not a snowballs chance in hell that this shop is a legit coffee shop. I left and went to Canal Town to check out the fresh Imports. read more

I had a London Fog and they had gluten free treats, which I was excited about. The muffin was better than the cookies. Very moist and delicious. The cookie with the jam in the middle I liked because it wasn't so sweet, but you definitely needed something to drink with it because it was dry. The London Fog was excellent. This is a very late review. Our go to place to get coffee everytime we visit Rochester since that one time we were waiting for Costco to open and needed a place to kill time. Fuego coffee's atmosphere are so chill and cozy that It gives me those korean coffee shop vibes. Plenty of seating space upstairs and there's small area with couch by the right as soon as you walked in. But at that time, they don't offer seating at the bar until further notice and every tables have a note on how many persons are allowed to sit (that was like 5 months ago). Visited again on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm, their bar area is already open and it's all packed (but still very careful about the rules). As usual, service was fantastic. Baristas are Kind and welcoming... And they make delicious drinks too! Iced Vanilla and Chai tea latte are always perfect! I wanted to love it here! The location is good with free street parking on weekends (and metered for week days). The ambiance was just what I was hoping for, but THE WIFI DIDN'T WORK. It wasn't just a me problem - my friend also couldn't connect and the barista said that a lot of people have that problem. A coffee shop has limited functionality if there's no wifi... I got the lemon scone on my way out and it was good but weird. The scone itself was too dense and not lemony enough, but the icing was too lemony.
