The French breakfast at cafe vert was interesting, this is a small spot in bal harbor kosher restraints y ordered eggs that where perfectly soft and creamy, with a delicate. Paired with coffe toast and potatoes each bite feels like a little slice of Paris. It's a packed, lively spot--perfect for a bustling Sunday brunch or breakfast!

When we got there it was very crowded but didn't have to wait long for a table (we were seated within 5 minutes) . Got a cafe mocha, which was very good and my husband got an iced coffee. My daughter got a smoothie, which she didn't like but that's just personal preference as I ended up finishing it and it was delicious. She got a pizza panini which she loved and the two adults got omelets. We also got this cream filled cronut which was outstanding! My only issue was the service. While the staff was super friendly and accommodating, it just took forever to get our food and even our drinks. I would have given 4 stars if not for the slow service as my daughter was very hungry and it was rough. The food was very good though and it would not deter me from coming back. Next time we are in surfside we will definitely come again and hopefully service will be quicker.

It's been a while since my last time here, over a year ago, so it was nice to see some changes in the interiors. It looks a little more modern due to the change of floors and the rearrangement of the tables and counter. It was lunchtime during the weekday so might be a little hectic but service is quick so hopefully you won't have to wait a lot. As mentioned before, you can barely see the name of the place outside but you will recognize it by the big green awning. We started with the Feel Good Salad, this is my favorite salad here. The perfect blend between spring mix, quinoa, chickpeas, some tomatoes and onions, and that delicious balsamic-like dressing, so so good! This is perfect to share! For my main entree, I ordered the Gluten Free Penne Pasta with pink sauce. All pasta is made there so I think that's an amazing point about this restaurant. The serving was way more than what I was expecting and for less than $20. The only thing I didn't like was that the cheese on top didn't seem like fresh Parmesan but more like Kraft Parmesan cheese. One of my friends ordered the Crepes with mushrooms and she was so happy with it, crepes here are delicious! Overall it was good and the server was so sweet. Everybody is so nice here. It is mainly a Jewish restaurant but honestly, they are so welcoming to everyone.

Cute, hidden spot in Surfside! There is no signage outside for this place so look for the green awning. There is metered street parking in front or there is a metered parking lot behind. We went on a Sunday morning and it was crowded but had a few tables open. We sat near a window and looked over the menu. We got 2 lattes, pancakes, feta omelette and a plain croissant. The lattes came out quickly and then the breakfast items shortly after. I thought the pancakes were kinda small for $9, they were like 3 mini pancake size and adding blueberries +$2. The flavor was good but you would need to order more if you're really hungry. My partners omelette came with salad, potatoes and baguette ($12.50 before 12pm) very delicious and filling. I'm glad I got the extra croissant to fill me up. The croissants are to die for!

I love the breakfast here. I believe it's $17 you get eggs, potatoes, salad, coffee & fresh squeezed orange juice. The food here is very delicious but unfortunately every-time I've ordered online, I come in at my pick up time and still have to wait another 15-20 minutes /: everyone in store is very nice so I keep coming back but I order online to avoid waiting since I order before my shift starts SO once they figure out time management it'd be a five star review from me. Inside seems clean and is always PACKED with people so I prefer To-go, just wish I didn't have to wait after ordering online !!

Overall, decent brunch food but terrible service. We came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Prices are very reasonable. We ordered the famous breakfast which includes eggs, baguette, potatoes, salad and coffee plus orange juice. However, the coffee plus orange juice isn't included after noon which is disappointing and should be noted in the menu. The place wasn't too crowded but it took about 30 minutes to get our food and many were complaining around us that their food was taking a while. Not sure why it took long for a seemingly simple meal. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unenthusiastic, rude to some customers who complained about the wait. They have takeout orders too which may have added to the long wait, but they weren't polite to those dining in waiting a long time. The food itself is good. You get a fair amount and it's a decent breakfast nothing spectacular. The stand out was the baguette, it was very good. The tip is included which may be because people wouldn't leave tips otherwise. If you're willing to wait with some possibly rude service, it's a decent breakfast brunch spot.

Cafe Vert is an absolute gem in Surfside. It is my favorite lunch/brunch spot. The food is absolutely delicious. I especially love the crepes. I get a sugar crepe with every meal and it is perfect. Nothing too over the top with chocolate and fruit and all that - just sugar and it's that simple kind of delicious. It is a huge bonus that they can make almost everything on their menu to be gluten free. You just have to ask and they will be happy to share with you how they can accommodate a gluten allergy. The owner's wife has been gluten free for many years. You can even order a handmade loaf of gluten free bread. You just have to order the day before to pick up. The people who work at this restaurant are genuine, patient and kind. Amanda is usually my server and she is fantastic. Listen y'all, this is an affordable sit down restaurant in a busy part of town. If you don't have time to sit down and enjoy the experience of dining in, then skip this place. They aren't gonna get you in and out in 20 minutes. These people work their bums off and provide great quality service and even better food!

The staff here are not rude, but not welcoming either. Would it be too much of a bother to say welcome or a good morning? They made me feel like I was a burden for walking into their business to try the place for the first time. Long story short, I came here because I had heard good things about this place. The food was okay at best, Kosher friendly yes. I was disappointed no one told me for our party of 2 there would be a service charge included in our bill. I ordered 2 poached eggs in tomatoe sauce w/ toast and a greens smoothie. Grand total was $27... the smoothie was $8 + $14 for my other dish. The rest was for tax and included an undisclosed service charge. It's not the best value for your money, I paid my tab and left the place to try (in my opinion) better alternatives next door. God forbid I show you how far your $27 could go at the places nearby. Please excuse my sarcasm, I wanted to love this place, but found it hard to swallow :(

Front Porch has always been a spot we dined at, mostly for breakfast, but sometimes lunch and dinner. At times, we would stay at the Z Hotel just for Front Porch. Unfortunately, that has changed, and I would never go back or accept a free meal or service--imagine that, never accept a free meal in Miami. The service was bad, actually the waiter was fair to ok, but the bleach blonde older server consumed the air out of the room. She was grumpy, not engaging, and when she spoke her voice was so deep and off putting that it frightened me. The culinary offerings, reminds me of a hospital cafeteria from the 80s/90s . The worst part was the theming and lack of ambiance. It felt like a seedy nightclub or raggedy adult club you have to take a shower after leaving. I had to apologize to wife for such a poor experience. Bad husband! Also, I believe the operation was being managed or run by a small family of 4/5 people with no hospitality, culinary, or service experience. Finally, for $100, I never have to go there again. Front Porch, RIP. Sorry...

We were seated right next to the pool, but our table happened to be directly in front of the spot where everyone stopped to take photos. At first it felt a little odd, but it quickly became entertaining and added to the fun atmosphere. We stayed in the Azure suite, Our room was stunning and was ready a few hours early, which allowed us to start enjoying our stay right away with a bottle of bubbly the hotel sent up. We changed into our swimsuits and headed straight to the pool. The next morning was my favorite part of the stay, since only hotel guests have access to the pool before the restaurant opens, it was much quieter and the perfect way to enjoy such a beautiful setting. The only downside was that the hotel is extremely loud at night. We knew what to expect from reading previous reviews, so it wasn't a surprise, but it's worth mentioning. I was also a little disappointed by the restaurant service, which felt indifferent and not especially welcoming. Despite those drawbacks, the beauty, history, and overall experience made for a memorable stay!
