One of the most unique touches is that when you order a specialty coffee--in my case, a caramel latte--they print a photo you take at the restaurant directly onto the foam. It was such a fun and memorable experience! Our server, Alfonso, was outstanding. He was friendly, energetic, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. My friends said their blended mocha and coffee were really good. I got some scrambled eggs and avocado with a side of French toast. The French toast is such a good sweet breakfast treat! We had brunch at Bon Bouquet Cafe for my birthday with my husband and our 1-year-old daughter, and it was such a lovely experience from start to finish. Honestly, we weren't disappointed by anything we ordered. We came here before but didn't want to wait. So we had the chance to come back and it was busy. I believe you can make a reservation. We did not, it was a 45 mins wait but was able to get in quicker since it was just us. The food and coffee was fantastic and Beignets was soft and fluffy. The coffee you can put your picture on top of your coffee or latte. It was only $2 more. The best $2 spent. Everyone should do it. The music was just right. The only complaint I had, the people next to us was on speaker phone with someone and you can hear the conversation and the crackling background noise. The other person was playing music. I wanted to enjoy my time with my partner on a beautiful sunday afternoon. I wouldn't of mind if they were talking on the phone or had headphones. We just ended up eating really fast and left. Alphonso hands down the best!! Even with table turn overs he never left us waiting. We ordered the bottomless mimosas and I asked for cranberry and my friend had the orange not a problem. Food was delicious. Make a reservation! I had the Turkey Tartine. Garlic aioli made the dish. I chose sourdough and it was nice and light. My friend had the avocado toast which she love. I found the picture worthy restaurant on TikTok and I'm honestly so glad I did. First things first...if you're planning to go, try to make a reservation ahead of time. This place is getting really popular and it fills up fast. The wait time can get pretty long. I actually ended up making my reservation right outside the restaurant once I saw how packed it was, just to secure a spot. Hence my warning lol. I was dining alone though, so seating wasn't too bad for me. They also have both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. Everyone there was super welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. I also got my first picture latte ever and it was such a cool experience (at least for me). The idea is really beautiful, but the caramel latte itself wasn't my favorite. It didn't really give much caramel flavor--more like a watered-down coffee with a hint of caramel. What I really loved though was how I told the waiter exactly what I wanted and she accommodated me with no problem. It was my first time visiting Bon Bouquet Cafe and it was a good experience. There was a mistake on my end thinking our reservation was at 11am when it was at 10:45am. The staff was very nice and accommodated us quickly. I got the turkey sandwich and it was delicious but my overall favorite was the breakfast potatoes. I started with an Americano, the first of two that I enjoyed. Excellent crema and well balanced flavor with no acidity. I could start my day with Bon Bouquet's Americano every day and be very happy. For breakfast, I had Avocado Toast. Two pieces of whole grain (or sour dough if you prefer) bread, slathered with avocado and balsamic drizzle. I opted for scrambled egg whites instead of fried eggs on top, and the decision was good. The avocado did not need more fat from fried eggs. Roasted tomatoes with sautéed spinach and mushrooms were served as accompaniment. Abocado toast was fresh and had good flavor. Stopped in for breakfast on a Friday morning at 8:30am as a party of 1! Chose to sit outside and was given multiple table options. I would estimate about 20% of the outside tables were filled when I sat down. I sat for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. And that was because I stopped a server as they were passing and asked to be helped. Which felt insane to me. Then my server finally came over 5 minutes later (with no apology for the wait). In the middle of taking my order she randomly walked away and talked to the hostess for w few minutes. She came back and acted like nothing happened and asked me to repeat what I wanted. When I asked if she was ok, she explained that the restaurant had lost internet and they were dealing with technical difficulties within their order placing system. Seems totally fair, but I would like to acknowledge that there were other servers still doing their job and communicating with their tables during this time and food/drinks were consistently coming out. I placed my order at 8:50am. By that time the outside patio was about 70% filled. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, french toast, side of bacon, and side of sausage. At 9:17am (27 minutes later) my sides arrived. At 9:24am (7 minutes after the sides and 34 minutes after ordering) my latte arrived. Which happened because I reminded my server that I was still waiting for it. Then 4 minutes after the latte arrived, (11 minutes after my sides arrived and 38 minutes after ordering), my french toast was brought to the table. Everything I ordered was delicious. The breakfast sausage was a huge portion and had great flavor. The french toast was the same. The latte was also above average. The bacon was sort of measly and I wouldn't necessary recommend it. Overall, the food was honestly great and the restaurant has a great ambiance to it. But I would absolutely never come back due to the incredibly slow service and insanely minimal communication. I honestly expected some sort of compensation at the end of the meal due to the insane timing problems with the meal (but I did not ask/demand anything, because I was curious what they would offer) and there was zero apology or compensation. I quickly paid and got out of there. I genuinely felt invisible for the first half of the meal, and I heard other tables complaining about the same. Again, I recognize there was an internet issue, but if only a portion of the restaurant feels the impact, that's where I do not understand. I truly had to bite my tongue back from telling every party who walked up to the hostess stand and asked for a table to, leave and go somewhere else. This was our first visit here yesterday and it quickly has entered our top 5 list for brunch/ breakfast picks! The place has charm, Frenchy vibes and decor, cleanliness, great food, and great service. What more could I ask for? I was impressed! Plus we were warmly greeted with friendly smiles by the hostesses at the entrance and seated right away. Our server was Vanesa, who was amazing! She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us several times. Our water glasses never went empty. One suggestion though, since the tables for two are small, it would be best to bring out the breakfast dishes first, wait until we finish them, and then bring out the French toast and beignets. Those dishes were large and there was no place to put them! We had to double up and crowd our breakfast dishes. It was uncomfortable to have to do this as our food cooled off during the process. I had to add the bacon dish to my avocado dish and the potato dish was added to the eggs and bacon dish and then the 2 glasses of water plus the lattes had to be moved around. Then the beignet dish and the French toast dish was added and we barely had room to finagle it all on our table. Next time, I will mention this in the beginning of ordering so that we can avoid this situation. The highlight of our breakfast was the Vanilla Lattes with our photos floating on top!! What fun that was! I didn't know that was a thing. So creative! The Lattes tasted good too! Now on to the food. My avocado toast with the sunny side up eggs was delicious as was the mushroom/spinach side. I was surprised that adding the 2 eggs on top of the toast was $4 extra when you can get a dozen eggs at the stores for the same price. My 2 small slices of bacon was $5.98. It's a Miami Beach thing, I guess. Hmm. My daughter had Scrambled eggs and bacon plus breakfast potatoes, which she said were very good. We also split a French Toast Stuffed Nutella dish, which was delicious with fresh strawberries and banana slices. For home, we ordered the Beignets, which were ok but still not like Cafe du Monde's in N'awlins. In conclusion, I loved the food and lattes and the vibe of Bon Banquet Cafe and we will be returning soon. Maybe the prices will be a bit more reasonable by then or maybe we won't order add-ons. You know I wasn't impressed if I only took one picture while I was there :/. I ate here before catching a flight from Miami and unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. I can't speak to the inside of the restaurant but the outside seating area was quaint. My waiter was fine and provided check ins as I waited wait too long to eat. I began with an iced matcha with raspberry syrup. As you can see from the picture, the matcha color is off. The syrup saved it. The menu has a variety of breakfast options. I selected the avocado toast. It tasted and looked very homemade. It was bland and I didn't consider it restaurant quality in the slightest. If you're looking for breakfast options on South Beach, I'd keep looking. read more
