Absolutely loved Wolsen Cafe! I tried the strawberry matcha and the tiramisu coffee, and both were sooo good. The strawberry matcha was refreshing and perfectly balanced, and the tiramisu coffee was creamy, smooth, and delicious. Such a cute spot with amazing drinks. Definitely coming back!

I've been here twice and taken back by the potential this place has. First of all, "no work zone".. a cozy, empty cafe that does not allow laptops- have you heard of such a thing? I can't understand the logic and would think it would help a business. Wouldn't a more reasonable approach be to limit time guests are allowed to stay or to put a minimum spend if the concern is loitering? Maybe While also reinforcing loud conversations or cell phone use isn't allowed? Perhaps there's something I'm missing here. Besides that, both meals I've had here were meh. The service was non existent and cold, dismissive. I don't believe the server, a woman, spoke a word to me. I walked in, she came over and gave me a menu. I flagged her over to place my order, still no words, and had to flag her over to ask for water. The meek portion of soup was bland with an over powerful taste of cilantro with an unbalanced taste of quinoa with a few shreds of chicken. Upon finishing the soup, she cleared table, without words, didn't ask if I wanted anything else nor provided the check and my water was empty. I stayed awhile, wondered if I'd get a check or there was something else I was expected to do which I figured out after the man at another table went to the desk to pay. Being a local, I'd love to enjoy this experience but I'm not sure how this place keeps its doors open if this is what the experience is like. The only extra star is for the true feel of a cafe and ambiance but that's all I can speak for.

The food is so great fresh and healthy I love the salads and burguers! Service awesome and the best cappuccino with oat milk

Wolsen Cafe is truly a gem.

The Wolsen Caffe is truly a gem. My husband & I were not expecting to come back 3 times during our vacation in Sunny Isles. But the food was just so great, we couldn't resist. From the breakfast eggs to the most amazing Tasty Italian sandwich to the beef burger. All of it was beautifully made & the taste was wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough to everyone. Service was on point. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We spent hours here.

    Regular and iced cappuccino

Their sandwiches looked really good but we didn't try them as we just went here for coffee. The regular cappuccino was delicious. The iced cappuccino I would not recommend. Tasted more milky than coffee but the hot one was good. Service was great. Quick and friendly. Water provided and a biscuit for our tiny dog.

Great service. Good hot cappuccino - stayed foamy till the last sip. Just don't order the iced cappuccino - it was very diluted. Could barely taste the coffee/espresso flavor.

Outstanding Greek salad with salmon. The salmon was fresh, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The salad was delicious. Service was quick, friendly and attentive.

I moved to Sunny Isles Beach last year and have been exploring the many wonderful restaurants and shops around town. I wanted to have coffee at a new place and read mixed reviews about Wolsen Caffe and decided to try it myself. This was my first time visiting this place and likely it will be the last. As I sat my backpack down on one of the many vacant tables, I approached the service counter. A lone server came from behind the kitchen door without a greeting and, with his mouth still half full of food told me that I can't use this restaurant as a work station. I said I would like to order a latte, and he said I can't use this place as my workspace. I couldn't believe this first impression! So, without a smile I only replied " just a latte". I paid, did not get a Thank You or a smile or anything but my change. I will not be back to this very unwelcoming establishment regardless of all the positive reviews of the food. Locals, Out -of- Towners and Tourists, find some place else for your morning coffee!

Message for the business owner: Please hire new stuff for this place, it's dying! The guy who is the only waiter there never smiles and is extremely slow. I stopped in before work for a quick breakfast it was prime time 10:00 AM and the place was empty while the Starbucks next door had 100 people. With the menu being that great you can't have slow and soulless service like that. When I approached the bar to inquire about breakfast toasts he told me they only service customers from the table. What a control freak lol. Another time I stopped by with a friend and we had a laptop and he told us we couldn't use laptop inside! The person needs to get his ego down and enrol in customer service training. If you actually occupy this busy plaza, make it worthy! Compliments to the chef!

Absolutely in love with this place! First time here. I was feeling down and decided to take myself on a solo date. The latte was great and the cheesecake was delicious. The light jazz music and lighting was perfect!

One of my favorite breakfast places to go to from the amazing selection of tea to the breakfast that they offer.

Surprisingly really good food in a causal place in a strip mall. Been here a few times and surprised it's not more crowded.

Consider that one star a gift to my server Julie who provided nothing but excellent service with a smile on her face. First introductions are everything. My partner and I were dismissed completely by the manager who was too busy chatting it up with solicitors. Not even a simple "I'll be right with you." Julie caught wind of this and immediately swooped in. The menu is pricey but I assumed that the portions would make up for it. This assumption was correct, but my food's presentation was the equivalent to what you'd serve a dog. I ordered the egg salad club with a side of fries; if you're searching for an establishment that cooks with love just leave. The egg salad was unseasoned and I'm unsure that half-smashed boiled eggs constitutes as egg salad. The fries were piled on top as if a tired teenage McDonald's worker was cooking it up in the back. My partner also agreed that their tuna melt was unseasoned. As we were leaving we decided to take a peek at the baked goods. In a final attempt to give this place the benefit of the doubt, we eyed a delectable looking chocolate chip cookie. I called over the employee behind the bakery counter to which she begrudgingly trudged on over. I took another look at the display to solidify what I wanted, but I noticed something unappetizing. FLIES. Not one fly, multiple flies having their way with the baked goods. We told her never mind and left the establishment. Never again will I step foot in this atrocity.

This was my recent dinner at Kalinka, where instead of my usual barbecue sauce I seasoned it with sour cream ("smetana")! It's always great to expand one's culinary horizons, isn't that what makes a foodie? As other reviewers mentioned, the majority of the space is a grocery store stocking traditional dishes from Russia and other Eastern European countries. There are a few tables inside the store as well as outside. You order at the counter, and your dish is brought out to your table if eating in. Besides my chicken dish, I also enjoyed a portion of kachapuri (stuffed cheese bread) as well as a warm and flaky cherry pie ("vishni"). One of my overseas friends recommended pomegranate juice as part of my wellness regimen. To my delight, I was able to purchase a large bottle of it (sok granat). The cashier / deli attendant helped me find it, and also gave me the opportunity to place my order in Russian as well. Thank you for that "above and beyond" level of service. Blagodario bas!
