I came in and ordered the chicken breast with rice and plantings. The service was OK however the manager is very unfriendly and doesn't seem to care very much about what customers think. The chicken tasted old or reheated it tasted like I was chewing into rubber the plan teens also tasted like they were cooked early in the morning and the rice had no flavor I told the young lady if they reheated their chicken she replied no, the manager with the yellow shirt however heard and looked at me like I was crazy and didn't seem to care. This place is perfect! The food is delicious and it's so cheap perfect for a college student. As soon as you walk thru the door they greet you with a genuine smile! The drivers from my job told me about this place last year and ever since I keep coming for it being for a coffee, breakfast, and sometimes even lunch. This is my go to spot during my long breaks from school and work. Also a perfect not too loud place to get some studying in while you eat! Regular staff was pleasant, my server upon request for the cook to put his mask on, proceeded to inform me,, that he was "by himself" and that it was ok. I instructed her that it was not, and he finally put his mask on. Only to cover his mouth, not his nose. After preparing my meal, he returned to not wearing his mask but to cover his chin. The lady at the coffee counter was very accommodating, as always, but that's the ONLY thing I will EVER go back to that restaurant for, EVER !! is a cup of coffee. Shame on you owner in these times not making sure that your employees adhere to the standards required by the community, but along with your advertising that your employees wear their masks !!!!!! This little hidden restaurant is convenient and fast with friendly service. The food is mostly Cuban and it's tasty and home made like if Abuela made it! They have daily specials , sandwiches, milk shakes, pastelitos and real good Cuban coffee! Prices are very reasonable and the portions are HUGE! I use to be a loyal customer that went atleast 4 times a week or more for breakfast to this cafe but I no longer trust them. Whenever I pay credit card they charge me where I can see, the other day I went they took my credit card to the back and came back a few minutes later which I though was unusual. A few hours later I get a notification from my bank they had copied my information and charged my card 4 times. I had not used my credit card in the past few days so I know it was from the cafe. I recommend that if you go do not ever use your credit card unless you want them to steal your money. This little cafe is close to my job and they are very fast with service. They offer different kinds of baked good and they could make a really good cortadito. The Breakfast special is very inexpensive and it includes eggs your way, potatoes toast and coffee. They also offer a very affordable lunch menu accompanied by a special of the day entree. This place is horrible. Worst table service and owner is a jerk. Waited for 45 mins for my food to come out and there were only 4 other people. I had to leave to without eating or being served because I was already late to an event. I canceled my order and owner insisted it was already done. I said I didn't want it anymore, meanwhile it's still not on the table. Owner was rude, and even threatened to call the cops because I didn't want to pay for the food I didn't receive. The wait was not too long, I myself waited 6-8 minutes but I ordered the Pan con Bistec which takes a bit too cook, but the wait was worth it. The beef steak was so delicious and had tang to it. You can tell it was all fresh and not just reheated. I would so come again but it's best to come with no rush or hurry to be somewhere afterwards.
