    Cuban toast
    Beth S.

The restaurant is really nice. I love the outdoor seating area. They have heaters outside. We sat inside. There were three of us. The waitress was nice, but she really struggled! She kept forgetting things. We had to ask over and over for things. She was just a little bit lost and spaced out. She was not attentive. She did not come to check on us during our meal. So I give 2 stars for service. The tip of 18% was included, but not really deserved. My friend and I both ordered the grilled mahi mahi. It was market price and we paid $19.99 each. It came with two sides. I had tostones and black beans with white rice as my sides. Our other friend ordered a bowl of chicken soup. The waitress brought us a basket of Cuban toasted bread. The food was good, but none of it was hot! Thus, the 3 stars for the food. I give 5 stars for the atmosphere because it is a really nice restaurant inside and outside. I hope they get better. My friend own the Sergio's restaurants, so I want it to do well. I would go back. I'd sit outside if the weathers nice. I'd send the food back next time if it was cold. Hopefully I'd have better service.

Recently opened location in Pinecrest! Inside is beautifully decorated, and the food is just as delicious as any Sergio's location. Service is friendly and fast.

Sergio's will always be a favorite for me! So happy that opened up a location near where I live!

First time here. The ambiance was nice and even the hostess. I have no complaints about the customer service in fact they were quick. Just the food was ok. My vaca fita was delicious but everything I wanted they didn't have. They didn't have arroz morro or yuca con mojo they said they ran out. The croquetas were undercooked. My husband didn't like his food. He ate just mine. Then the dessert flan was good but the tres leches was not. I was just disappointed from all the hype I got from people.

Love this new addition to the Pinecrest area. One of my new go-to places for brunch. I love Sergio's food and have been to several locations. I love that they use a modern twist to a Cuban cuisine. My go-to dish is their vaca frita de pollo: Shredded chicken with mojo sauce. I usually order it with garlic mashed potatoes. I love that they have matcha drinks. Their breakfast options are great too. The restaurant is beautiful. It has an outdoor area and a ventanita. It's usually packed since it hasn't been open for long. It's very lively and fun.

Just to show I ordered a breakfast and received 2 eggs in a box and no empanada

My boss does not speak Spanish so I order because the lady did not understand her that is not the problem. When I got the food was extremely cold and we had to wait for it and she told me that they could not do what I wanted so I ordered a breakfast and all I got was two cold eggs very cold also the empanada was missing and when I called she just said o sorry come and pick it up it'll be waiting for you here The food was cold the order incomplete and the service is depressing she couldn't communicate in a customer service position so I will not order anymore from Sergio's and will not recommend it

I love this Sergio's location. I've been here a few times already, and the service has always been fast, which I really appreciate. I usually order to go, and everything is consistently on point. I normally go for the empanadas (they never miss) and the iced coffee, which is perfect every time. The food is hot, fresh, and packed well no complaints at all. Everyone who works here is super nice and welcoming, which honestly makes a big difference. You can tell they care about the customers.

Food is tasteless. Just mediocre and a terrible representation of what Cuban/latin food should be.

The buzz in the restaurant and bar area is contagious reminiscent of the lively chaos in your mom's kitchen during Thanksgiving. The food was nearly flawless. I started with the Caesar Salad and bruschetta both simply delicious. The dressing was perfectly tangy, and the bruschetta was generously portioned and expertly seasoned. For my main, I chose the Eggplant Parm, an enormous portion. The cheese was generously layered, perhaps more than usual. The dish was fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. The sauce had a nice kick without being spicy. My mom ordered the Capellini Primavera, substituting pink cream sauce for oil and adding plenty of garlic; another huge portion. Absolutely loved it. A solid 10/10. Anna, our waitress, was outstanding, serving with remarkable speed and warm professionalism. Regret not taking pictures of our dish!!

This Italian restaurant is the kind of place that quietly ruins other Italian restaurants for you…read more The food isn't just "good" or "solid." It's cooked to perfection. The pasta has that exact bite it's supposed to have. The sauces taste like someone's nonna has been guarding the recipe since 1952. Everything feels authentic, not in the gimmicky, red-checkered-tablecloth way, but in the "this is how it's actually done" way. The atmosphere seals the deal. It's warm, cozy, and welcoming without trying too hard. Soft lighting, relaxed energy, the kind of place where you sit down for dinner and somehow three hours disappear. It feels intimate without being cramped, lively without being loud. You can have a real conversation without shouting over someone's birthday party. And then there's the wine situation, which is almost absurd in the best way. The bottles are sold at cost. At cost. Like they woke up and decided profit margins were optional. The selection is massive, stretching across regions and styles, and staring at the list is borderline overwhelming. In a good way. Whether you're a casual sipper or someone who can pronounce Montepulciano correctly, you'll find something exceptional. In short: authentic food, flawless execution, cozy atmosphere, and a wine list that feels like you stumbled into a secret. It's the kind of place you want to gatekeep... but also immediately tell everyone about.

It really added to the ambience. The player was very talented! As appetizers we ordered the charred oysters, the pull-apart bread, truffle fries, and a wedge salad. They were all delicious. The fries seemed to just be a common frozen variety. I'd expect hand cut, homemade fries from a 5 star restaurant like this, charging $14 for an order of fries. But, they were ok. The bread was delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my wedge salad. There aren't a lot of places where I can get one, so I was thrilled to be able to order one. I had wished they had oysters Rockefeller, but the charred oysters were delicious, and they had a salmon Rockefeller on the menu. I ordered the Barramundi fish with a stuffed baked potato and roasted broccolini as my sides. The fish didn't have a lot of flavor and was set in pool of (I think) olive oil. The oil didn't have a lot of flavor either. I would have preferred the fish just be served alone. The baked potato was HUGE! That could have been my entire meal! It could have been two meals! It turned into four meals, as I took home my leftovers. The broccolini was delicious. Probably my favorite part of my main entree. My daughter ordered the filet mignon. It was like butter! So soft, it melted in her mouth! It was a good portion and she had leftovers as well. She added a side of garlic butter, which at $7 was not really worth the cost. My husband had the lamb chops. They were so delicious! Cooked perfectly! He had a side of sautéed mushrooms that were absolutely amazing! I do think it was ridiculous to charge $7 for what equated to maybe 2 mushrooms. Our other daughter ordered the roasted chicken. It was delicious and a huge portion. She took at least half of it home. Our son ordered the spicy rigatoni with chicken. We all thought it was very odd that they brought a chicken leg on a side plate. Normally, at any restaurant, when you add a protein like chicken to your pasta, they put a cut, grilled chicken breast ON your pasta. This was neither on it, nor a chicken breast, nor was it cut. We all thought it was the most strange way you could give someone their protein for their dish. The pasta was delicious and a large portion that turned into 3 meals. Our waiter, Alonzo, was wonderful! He explained everything to us! We ordered a bottle of wine and he told us the really cool back story of the brand. He told us how long our meals would take to prepare. He was very attentive and helpful. I will say, for a restaurant called a "Vineyard", I'm shocked they don't have a more extensive wine list. There were maybe 5 Sauvignon blancs, and 4 of them were from California. Only one was from New Zealand, which is the one we ordered. I think they have more drinks than they have on their menu. I feel they're missing an opportunity to sell more by not letting the customer know everything that's available. I don't know if I would return. It's very expensive in the sense that they charge you for every little thing. It was a nice place to go for a special occasion, but I don't know if it's worth it.

I've been thinking of taking the WSET exam to get some more solid knowledge of wine, and after comparing different places offering the course as well as online options, I decide to take the class here. Located in the SunTrust building, the academy is easily accessible and there's garage as well as street parking around. The class is a small in size so it's good for sharing experience and opinions. Alessandra is readily available to answer questions during and after class, and she gives useful tips in preparing for the exam. The course really helped me in calibrating my palate to the WSET standard, as well as broadening my horizon and introducing me to less common wines, such as Hungarian tokaji and Australian riesling. In the end, I felt that regardless of whether I pass the exam or not, the course was totally worthwhile, because it has given me a lot of knowledge and the tool to better appreciate wine.

What an incredible time I had yesterday at the Florida Wine Academy for my Wine Class…read more I have so many reasons to go back, from the impeccable place, inside and outside, to the wonderful and well-prepared class, directed by Ms. Nicole. She emailed us, two days before, and asked us if we have any food allergies since they will provide some snacks to pair with the wines. She also gave us the address and explained to us how to get there and where to park. I parked in a public garage for $5.00, this was not my best choice, because I'm not used to walking alone downtown, but it wasn't that bad after all. I went into the Sun-trust building, a beautiful tall building. The academy is on the 22nd floor as Nicole told us in her email. Once I got there, we went to this room where she had everything set up as you can see in my pictures, so pretty and organized. That's one of the most important things for me, how well organized and neat everything was. I need all those, in order for me to learn and enjoy myself the way I did. She started the class as a Professor will, telling us about herself and that, made me happy, such a prepared person is teaching me about wine...wow. The way she directed the class, with all the details, from guiding us where to buy wines, to open up our senses. Smell, Taste, and Body, were words we used during the whole class since we learned from her how to categorize each different wine, from all the six we had. As we were learning, smelling, and trying the wines, she also told us how to pair them with food and gave us tips on which wine will go good or better with the food we choose. With the wines we tried, we had some nuts, cheese and crackers, grapes, and dark chocolate...Yummy! They also offer all the 4 levels of WSET classes, plus labs like the one I went and more. You can always call or check their website for more information. Honestly, after trying this class yesterday, I don't feel so embarrassed to try the leveled classes and get my certification, because they way they teach you, you can actually learn and move forward.
