I went back to Cafe Zoey with my friend and her young daughter. The only table was taken but we managed to make it work at the high top along the wall! My friend enjoyed her coffee and her daughter had the Nutella crepe again. They seemed to have more things for a Monday which was great since we were told Monday's can be challenging if they run out of stuff. My friend had the lox sandwich and I had the east sider without cheese. The bread is phenomenal. The sandwich was good too, I felt like it was missing something and couldn't have had been filled a little bit more with stuff. All and all, very tasty! read more

I've been here twice and sat outside one time and inside the other. Inside was a considerably less pleasurable experience. It was really crowded and there was no personal space. When I went yesterday, I ordered a golden milk latte and it came to me with coffee in it. The barista hadn't made one before and they were very apologetic about it. The drink was OK. Cafe Zoey is a chill coffee shop with decent drinks. This shop is very small, so don't expect to come here and work or hang out for a long period of time. The drinks are decent, but I wouldn't say it's anything spectacular. I've stopped by when I want an espresso, matcha or ice caramel latte. I come more for the caffeine boost after walking around the neighborhood. The decorations on the wall and tables are very bright and bold. The staff all seem pretty friendly and seem to know what they're talking about as it relates to the menu. Employees acted like they were inconvenienced to take my order. I work in the area and figured I'd switch it up for lunch today. I've been here once before when they first opened and tried the Orchard crepe which was so- so. Today I grabbed the Buddy and the Ladd, both of which were equally disappointing. The space is small and uninviting despite the vibrantly painted walls. Peak hours would probably make people feel claustrophobic. Parking on Hope street can be a hassle, so you better be good at parallel parking! If you come here I would recommend maybe trying a different crepe and drink. read more

Staff is quick to greet you and welcome you in. Very small seating area but it'll do. Plants, abstract artsy, retro vibe. They have challah sandwich, crepes both sweet and savory and simple hot/cold coffees. Some juices and water in the case. I tried the notre jam which was brie, fig jam and apples for $10.50. A filling amount of crepe and the flavors married well together. No parking lot so you'll have to park on street or at the cvs lot and walk over. read more

I ordered a classic banana, honey, Nutella crepe that was filling as my cheat lunch day! Staff was prompt with my order allowed me to make a modification of adding fluff to my crepe because I had an sweet tooth today~ space is limited, so grab a seat outside if you easily feel nervous in tight spaces~ I like little cafes like this, but I did notice a small ant on my table, and I can only assume they were attracted to the sweet crumbs of peoples lunch~ it didn't bother me, but might bother others~ I still had a pleasant lunch date experience ~ read more

An artistic haven on Hope Street. This small cafe is so darn cute and a "must visit" just on the basis of ambiance. I was sadly disappointed with their ice matcha latte, as the oat milk tasted like it was past its expiration date (though there is no way to know for sure). I took a couple sips and then I had to discard it. I had initially asked if they had hot matcha lattes, and staff said they could make it hot, but with no latte art. Given the artistic nature of the cafe itself, I was sad to learn the drinks don't complement it. read more

Three words: quirky, quick, & quaint. The colorful interior walls and attentive staff are the first things I noticed walking into this cafe this morning. After we placed our order, we chose to sit at the hightop counter and admired the plants and decor around us while we waited for our drinks and sandwich. The barista was kind to check in to ask how we liked our drinks made (wet with less foam VS dry with more foam) and brought them out in no time. We were happy to share the sandwich as it was about the size of a 2 typical breakfast english muffin sandwiches. You can order the coffee for here and have them served in a ceramic cup but we opted to take them to go to enjoy them on a walk down Hope St. This was my second visit to Cafe Zoey and it certainly won't be my last! This is a really cute shop on Hope Street that I have been meaning to check out. I went with a friend and we each got a savory item and coffee and split a sweet crepe. I really enjoyed the Lox of Love sandwich. It was the right mix of a bagel and a sandwich with the typical bagel toppings of cream cheese, lox, and veggies. All the components were good, and they went well together. I also thought the coffee was good and enjoyed the sweet crepe. I think 1.5 to 2 crepes or the sandwich size is a good amount of food here. There are a few small tables and a bar inside, and there were two outside - even on a ~45F day in December. My friend and I sat outdoors and all our items fit comfortably on the table. We liked this little place even though seating is very limited. Takeout might be the best choice for many diners as there are only a couple of table options inside, and three outside. We love crepes and wish there were more creperies available. This one had good Yelp ratings and was near our walking destination (Blackstone Boulevard), so we decided to give it a try. It was nicely air conditioned inside on this warm day, but most seats were taken leaving only a few tightly spaced counter seats available. Fortunately we scored the last remaining table outside, and stealthily moved it out of the sun, and into the shade of the building. We ordered: * Breakfast Crepe $9.50 Egg, cheddar, scallions, Impossible sausage (vegan) & spinach. * Ambrosiac Crepe $9.00 Ricotta, peach jam, strawberries, and honey. * Mushroom Crepe Special: $11.00 Ricotta, tomato, egg. Though I didn't see it stated anywhere, this must be a vegetarian (or possibly vegan) restaurant, there is no meat on the menu. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the vegan sausage in my breakfast crepe! I also liked the sweet Ambrosiac Crepe and would be happy to order these again. My co-diner was less impressed with the Mushroom Crepe, she thought the ricotta was grainy and created an unflattering texture to the dish. I'm a big fan of this addition to the hope street shopping area! My only complaint is I wish it had more seating! The inside is so fun with all the crazy colors. There's one table inside and some bar stool style seating and a couple tables outside. I've tried several of the sweet and several of the savory crepes as well as a couple of tea drinks and always been satisfied! I still need to try the sandwiches but they look delicious everyone I see one come out! Sometimes it can be a bit slow but it's a tiny kitchen with a tiny staff so you can see them working hard in the back to fill the orders! read more

visited the Cafe Zooey as part of RI food fight July coffee challenge. We had 2 coupons. Got 2 simple, caramel iced coffee, tasted an unflavored regular iced and ordered an hash brown. Coffees were good. Hash brown was made to order and very tasty. other items looked good. Staff was friendly. Adam, the owner was pleasant and seemed to have a good rapport with patrons. It is a small shop. The decor was interesting and ecclectic. Only downfall (as someone who likes different flavors without lots of sugar) might be that there were no sugar-free flavor or brewed flavor options. Cafe Zooey is "the off-spring" of Small Point Cafe, so you know the coffee will be good - and it is. This is a teeny tiny place, so probably it's best to order your crepes and coffee to go. The space is painted in a contemporary abstract sort of way, cool if a bit claustrophobic the morning I visited since the place was PACKED with people, including a few fussy small kids. There's one two top table (tabletop is the RI Monopoly game - cute!), and 5-6 bar style seats around the side to the right as you walk in. They've just opened, so there isn't a clear path to order then move away to let the next folks order as you wait. Food is prepared in order of customers, so coffee-only may be less efficient - though worth a short wait. Crepes are sweet, savory, and what looks to me to be a mix. Very creative, but I just ran in for the above mentioned cup of coffee, iced this time. They individually brew each cup in a sweet little machine that serves up a nitro brew as well. Very very good. I finally had a day to sit and enjoy breakfast out and ultimately chose Cafe Zoey as I was gravitated towards the design from outside and an antique coffee maker peeking through the window. I also looked at the menu online before going as my partner is vegetarian. The space is small but packs a big personality! The staff and owner both greeted us and explained the menu and what the popular items were. I loved the fun names and options. I chose an iced golden milk latte and the Notre Jam (love the play on words.) My partner chose a hot golden milk latte with the Breakfast crepe. I loved the jam and brie combo in my crepe and it satisfied both sweet and savory cravings. I preferred my partners hot latte over mine (I think turmeric heated enhances the flavor more and maybe a bit jealous his came with the latte art) but overall we were satisfied with our visit here! Very cozy spot where the old camera repair store used to be on Hope! There are a few seats inside the shops, and several small tables outside on the sidewalk-- a great spot to sit and people watch! I stopped in today for an espresso, drip coffee, and a lox crepe. The coffee was strong and flavorful, and the crepe was delicious! The light and airy crepe was the perfect vessel for a creamy dill spread, salty slices of lox, briny capers, sharp arugula and punchy slices of red onion I would definitely go back for a crepe and try a flavored drink or latte! Overall what a wonderful addition to hope street!! What brought me in? It was probably the ESPRESSO flag that was waving outside the business that captured my eye, and then the art-pop colors that lured me inside. First things first, they take dietary restrictions seriously. They are kosher-certified which is actually a big deal. I ended up getting a London Fog and it was very tasty and flavorful. I also asked what crepe I should get and the person behind the counter recommended the savory breakfast crepe and they were SO right because it was delicious! It was also VEGAN. I'm not vegan, but I would recommend this because it was that good. Milk options include whole, 1%, oat, and almond. Service was great! Very friendly and also made great recommendations. You can get your receipt texted to you. The place is small and the decor is very quirky.. basically just embodies everything that people love about providence! When I saw there was a new coffee shop/crepe place on hope st, I was unreasonably excited! I'm making my way through the menu, and everything I have tried so far has been GREAT! The breakfast crepe is my favorite so far. Knife and fork required, but sooo worth it. Delicious! I met the owner Adam, and he and his crew seem like they really care, with a gentle loving pat for each crepe creation they make. Keep up the good work! These crepes are no good, which pains me to say because I was eagerly looking forward to this place opening and think it is a great addition to Hope Street. My main problem is with the crepe itself. It is incredibly thick and doughy and chewy, like a microwaved tortilla. I genuinely felt like I was eating a Nutella and banana burrito for breakfast. The crepe should be paper thin and light and airy, with a slight crispness. This felt like the Americanized version where everything has to be at least 1000 calories. Also, the warm crepe became stuck to the paper basket it was served in because they do not put a piece of parchment paper in between the two. Halfway through, my meal resembled some kind of crepe autopsy where I had to cut down the middle in order to eat it. Normally I would blame myself and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but all they serve are crepes. The service was great and I hope they are around for a long time, but I probably wouldn't go back. read more
