This place is so cute and I can't wait to go back. I was greeted as soon as I walked and and the young lady asked if I was ready or if I needed time. I had looked at the menu prior to arriving but I still wanted to look. I decided on the lemonade with charcoal. The young lady suggested adding a topper since it was my first time trying the powder. The drink was so good and I did taste a hint of charcoal powder but not a lot. Next time I go I want the full powder taste to compare. Ordered Uber Eats as I did not want to drive up to the shop and be around people do in the mornings. My coffee arrived without a sticker on it which forced me to drive up to the shop and waste my time. Ok cool they can remake it and I asked what they could do about this and all they said was they could remake it.. See I even asked for the manager or the owner, because I thought maybe they would write something down or get onto somebody for not making the Uber Eats order correctly and finishing it with a sticker, but no, the manager just acted as if this was a regular thing. I even explained how I had ordered Uber Eats and did not want to come up to the shop but she didn't even bat an eye. I'd expect a coffee shop, or let alone any business, would bend to make the customer happy, but Luce Avenue Coffee Roasters absolutely failed to do a single thing except remake the coffee. I get it, I'm only one person in a world of billions but if we allow this type of negligence to continue then everyone will assume it's ok. read more

Great customer service, as the employees were helpful on what contents were in the drinks and providing the accommodations for each drink I've ordered here. This plaza has all the great spots including Luce Avenue Coffee. I used to drive all the way into the city to get coffee and do some work. Their coffee combinations are visually pleasing and taste great too. I usually get something iced with charcoal (weird, I know but good). Looks like they also have breakfast tacos from Liberty Taco, which is another great place closer to the city. It's small, but has tables so you can catch up with friends over coffee. Worth a visit if you want to try a new coffee place in Cypress. read more

The barista at the register was super helpful in explaining their menu to me. I tried the Island latte from here. I think it captures the pandan and coconut flavors well. It was a tad bit too sweet for me though and I think the espresso flavors were overpowered. Maybe that's just a personal preference, but I would've liked the coffee flavor to shine more. Cypress just got a little bit brighter now that Luce opened up here. Lively place to do work and a ton of parking. Their charcoal series is one of my favorites and definitely one of a kind. I got the Black Island which is charcoal powder with pandan and coconut milk and tastes amazing. The charcoal is not too overpowering and the pandan brings that sweetness to it. read more

a very good local coffee shop, my favorite coffee blend is pan Pacifica, which they use for there house espresso. if you buy a bag they don't give you a free cup of coffee, I already asked! they have a lot of different drinks and also includes holiday drinks as well.. the matcha powder comes presweetened, I would definitely recommend getting coffee over matcha here, and also if you aren't a coffee person, their teas are pretty good too. my current drink is Fallchata 75% sweet with 1 more shot of espresso, since it only comes with 1 shot. iced island is my second favorite, which they can also adjust to make it less sweet. spanish latte has 4 shots of espresso make sure you ask them about sweetness levels especially if you are watching how much sugar you consume. Since my go to cafe, land of a thousand hills is closed :( I have to find a new study cafe and was pleased with my visit here. The matcha was great, very sweet but not too sweet (for me). I've been here 4 times now and have had negative experiences with the service. The cashier, usually a young lady isn't very knowledgeable when we ask questions about the drinks. The drinks also take way too long to get. I like their black island, but not a fan of this location. read more

Nitro is still very popular and common most places that have a cold brew bc it accentuates delicate tasting notes, smoothes out any bitterness & mimics the mouthfeel of cream without the cream. Got about half a cup bc I asked for no ice, sadly, tough times i get it, so I got shafted on that. So maybe 8oz for 6$ + tip, uh oh. Most of their other beans were unavailable even tho they're listed but are crossed out in their defense. Too bad. They only really have espresso & drip, nothing fancy. It looked like they had some French presses so I asked if I could get one but they said they didn't & were confused. Uh oh. Hopefully I was just mistaken. The plus is they roast their own beans (somewhere ?) although I got too muddled down asking lots of questions (sorry but others may want to know this stuff) they couldn't answer and felt they unlikely knew about the roasting process but I'm sure that's on their website, right? So a good place for freshly roasted beans, other than that, meh. Nothing over the top or eye catching imho. Prob will return just for fresh beans tho, especially to try the single origin ones. read more

I'm giving 3 stars because the coffee and food is good, like the rest of the locations but the customer service is always horrible. First time I went to this location, I took someone who has never been! She asked for a certain croissant and the guys response was "do you see it actually there? Then it's not available" I went the other day and the poor girl was juggling both the ordering, heating up of food and making the drinks while someone else just sat there stirring something. I had a disappointing experience at Luce today. I ordered a hazelnut macchiato latte and a Black Island coffee, and the owner herself took my order. However, just as I was about to pay, she answered a phone call and walked away without saying a word. It was awkward and unprofessional--both I and other customers noticed the situation, and people were clearly surprised by how it was handled. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to have someone else continue the transaction. Customer service is a big part of any business, especially in a coffee shop setting. A simple "excuse me" or asking another staff member to assist would have made a big difference. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel like customers are not a priority here. read more

I want to start by saying that Luce's coffee is really good. I am giving it a bad review due to the customer service we received. We recently purchased our second bag of coffee but it was ground too fine and it was chocking our espresso machine at home. The first bag was wonderful but the second bag was not working for us. We went back and I asked if I could have it replaced. The cashier said she had to talk to her manager (owner). The owner said I could not have the bag replaced but I could have a refund instead. As the cashier is taking down my information, second owner walks in and says I could not get a refund because it wasn't the coffees fault. She said it was my machine. I explained to her that we tried different kinds of coffee and they're working fine. It's just that specific bag that isn't working. I also explained to her that this is our second bag and we had just purchased it 2 weeks prior. After fighting back and forth, the owner agreed to refund me on a gift card. I told her that I wanted my full amount refunded to my credit card and not to a gift card. Her husband finally convinced her to give me a refund to my original form of payment. Honestly, over a bag of coffee this shop lost 2 customers. I hope it was worth it to them. Starbucks would never treat its customers this way. read more

We tried this coffee establishment for the first time and the manage/owner Dee Dee spoke with me over the phone regarding an order that was not very tasteful. She proceeded to ask me if I wanted a refund and I said yes. However when I returned she decided to change her mind and state that I could only get a half refunded because she is not responsible for the taste. As I stated to her these recommendations were made by her staff and with the request based off questions they asked us. I stated to her that was very unfair because she did not make this declaration over the phone and I was completely blindsided by her change of mind. When I asked for a manage, she stated she was it and no one above her. Sadly disappointed that she handled business the way she did and had absolutely no regard to her word of what she stated over the phone, in which in her culture, it is frowned upon when asking for a refund of anything, from the nail shop to beauty supply, to food products, which is sad because the customer is not value. read more
