Everything was absolutely delicious, if I had to pick a favorite it would be the mushroom empanada but you really can't got wrong. The chimichurri and the creamy jalapeño sauces were both great too. We also snagged a Key Lime Fizzy Moo carbonated milk that blew our minds. Neither of us like milk or carbonated drinks and yet, this was delicious and we couldn't stop sipping it. Definitely try one! This might be a farther trek for those living closer to the city center but it is worth it! This is easily one of me and my partner's favorite coffee shops near our house. We've been here countless times and always enjoy it. Every drink I've had is great and love that they have a few hot breakfast options in addition to their pastries. Finally a locally owned coffee shop in the Montebello/Green Valley Ranch area! This place is cozy with free WiFi for a good remote work spot. Plenty of parking as it's located in a strip mall. The vibe of this place is amazing! Fun colors, cozy seats, and really friendly staff. I ordered the cafe con leche which was delicious! Now I must try all the menu items as this will be my new favorite spot. Enjoyed my first visit to Cafecito today! Staff was friendly and the menu had a wide variety of drinks I'm looking forward to trying. It also looked liked they had a nice selection of breakfast burritos and pastries. I got the pumpkin horchata and my friend got the pumpkin chai and both were delicious. I especially appreciate that they use the "good ice" aka nugget ice. We also both got cake pops and they were so fresh and delicious! The cafe is so cute and I couldn't get enough of how well decorated it was while incorporating the Hispanic culture. Very aesthetic. We ended up getting a cafechata and Mexican mocha. The drinks in my opinion were just alright. Cafechata was a solid 4/10, the nutmeg and cinnamon was too overpowering and not well balanced. Maybe that's how it is supposed to be and I am just an outsider trying this drink but it wasn't my cup of tea. Mexican mocha is hot chocolate to be honest, I am not sure what we were expecting but it is just hot chocolate so I didn't feel the "Mexican" part come out. Located in the Chambers Place Shopping District in East Denver, the brand-new Cafecito has quickly become one of my favorite coffee shops in the city. I LOVE a spot that combines a Mexican bakery, coffee shop, and snack bar and they have it all. From Gansito chocolate milk to tamales, cupcakes, and more! What I tried (over more than one visit!): Pink Concha Chocolate Concha Chicken Tamale Horchata Latte Best bites: There's nothing as nostalgic as a warm concha and this one is fantastic. Pillowy, flavorful, and with that perfect sugar crust that leaves crumbs everywhere. Like a hug from your abuela (that means grandma in case Blas is reading this). The chicken tamale? Perfectly balanced masa-to-filling ratio, seasoned chicken, and just the right texture. Add Cholula on top? Now it's Christmas. And of course, I love their Horchata Latte. I love finding new coffee shops and when planning my trip to the area I had been collecting a list of places to try but after coming here I knew it would be too hard to find someone as good as them. I got the Cafe Con Leche and it was delicious. I also got an Asiago bagel with Jalapeño cream cheese - easily one of the best bagels I've ever had. We stumbled into this café on a trip to Ace Hardware (pro tip: hardware store runs are 10x better with coffee). From the outside, it's your standard strip mall spot in GVR/Montbello/East Denver. Inside? Total plot twist. Bright colors, cool tables that suddenly you're not next to down the road from Costco anymore, you're in a full-on Latin American café. While ordering, I spotted flan on the menu and said, "Oh, they have flan." The barista just grinned and said, "It's good." Spoiler: understatement of the year. My husband went for the Mexican Mocha, basically hot chocolate's bougie cousin. And it delivered a smooth, layered flavors, not that sad "mocha syrup in coffee" situation. I went with the Cafechata because, honestly, why settle for horchata when you can power it up with caffeine? It came iced, heavy on cinnamon and nutmeg with bold, unapologetic, and delicious. And the Flan? Yeah, that didn't last long enough for a picture. Creamy, perfectly set, and bursting with flavor. RIP to that dessert. I discovered Cafecito in a bit of a funny way because I was trying to find the correct spelling in Spanish (and if you're curious, it can be cafecito or cafécito). In doing so, this was the first result that came up in my Google search. To see it was local was enough of a sign from the Universe I needed for me to visit. I typically spend my Sunday mornings bedrotting and doomscrolling, but finding this so serendipitously was my sign to get up, get dressed, and head out to try. Being new to Denver, I hadn't been to this side of town, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but upon parking, I felt an instant connection to a neighborhood that reminded me of my childhood. My husband and I walked into the shop and were amazed by how clean and welcoming the place felt. The lady at the register was so bright and friendly, too! My husband ordered the Café de Olla, and I got the Mexican Mocha and two conchas. We didn't have to wait long and sat down to enjoy our breakfast at one of the cute tables they had (side note: this place will be our new weekly work/study spot since there are plenty of tables and chairs and two big couches). The Café de Olla was perfectly sweet and a match made in heaven with the concha. The Mexican Mocha reminded me of the hot chocolates I'd enjoy in the winter in Mexico as a kid, just with that extra kick of caffeine to wake up. Both coffees were brewed perfectly, not bitter or watery. The conchas were also delicious and fresh. Also, the merch was awesome, and I can't wait to come back and buy a few pieces to represent! They also offer breakfast burritos with sausage or chorizo (no vegan/vegetarian options that I could see), and from what I could see on other's plates, those burritos are definitely your money's worth! Cafecito's website says they are "more than just a coffee shop. It's a cultural hub, a meeting place, and a home away from home for the Latino community in Montbello. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can come together to enjoy a cup of coffee and experience the rich flavors of Latino culture." As a Mexican American, I'm very excited to stay updated on any events they may have to bring our community together if that's what they have planned! Saw this new cafe right by my house and had been dying to go since I saw the bones of the cafe up in its early building phases. The decor is so cute and on brand for the eclectic cafe niche. The service is amazing. The gentleman that took my mom, brother and I's order was very knowledgeable. And when my brother just asked for ice for his coffee he remade the drink for him which was very kind. I got the iced matcha tea latte and the chorizo burrito. I really wanted the cafechata but they remake it with oat milk and I really dislike the taste of oat milk so I decided against that one, hopefully they'll make it one day with or one similar with almond or whole milk. Either way the matcha was really tasty as well as the breakfast burrito. I'm not sure if they use frozen burritos but it tasted fresh like they cooked it in the back and the habanero hot sauce was the perfect addition.
