Table settings is a community type thing. They have large tables that seat 10 and you just sat in any spot. The service is a little slower than I'm used to but the food definitely made up for that. What we ordered: - porridge with milk and honey - traditional Irish breakfast - bacon, sausage, 2 fried eggs, hash, grilled tomato and toast - veggie breakfast - 2 fried eggs, vegetables, grilled tomato, beans and toast - Americana coffee - small pot of tea The food was very good here. If you're in the mood for breakfast, definitely come here as they serve breakfast all day! Since the service is a little slow, make sure to plan accordingly if you're in a time crunch.

It's one of the only places open late for miles, so I can get some late night studying in. I don't even mind the no laptops policy on the weekend because it's such a joy to study here on the weekdays. Ok so I don't drink coffee, but many of my esteemed colleagues and friends do, and they are a picky lot. Joe's do every type of coffee imaginable like dripped brews, aeropress, and the likes, and change their blends often. They also do some really nice teas (not as many as I'd like, but I can't hold it against them, they are called Joe's COFFEE after all, not Joe's Cofftea (though maybe that's an idea...) They sell some unbelievably good baked goods (try the brownie, it is ridiculous), and homemade sandwiches that are packaged so that you can eat them on the go. I think I'd like to see a little more choice with the savory food, but I know they've gone down this route so as not to compete with the myriad of other options in Arnotts, so fair play. On top of all this, they are really nice, genuine guys. You can see their passion and love for their brand and their coffee shines through, and they're more than happy to chat with anyone about it. If you like coffee, and you haven't been, try it. Don't let the Arnotts facade put you off. This place is a find.

The space is rather small, as most coffee shops are, and the prices are a bit up there, but all the coffee they make holds its own against some of the best- no Starbucks quality here- and the food is amazing. Speaking of, if you haven't tried their hotcakes slathered with berries, compote, and some of the most decadent whipped cream you've ever tasted, you haven't lived life to the fullest. It was so sweet, it was almost too much for me to finish, but I won't complain about such a delicious sugar rush this early in the morning. If you're not the "dessert for breakfast" type, they also have your typical avocado toast- don't ask me why that's a thing here, too- eggs, breakfast meats, and of course, porridge.
