We were in the area and needed to stop in for dinner so we decided to try Caffee' Capri. The inside decor is definitely interesting. It's clear this was a themed restaurant before becoming Italian. Haha! The staff were very friendly. We were there around 5pm. It was an odd time. The staff were hanging out at the bar talking and not very attentive. We had to wave them down several times despite being the only customers in there (and 4 staff onsite). They were also not wearing masks which I don't love. Only the gentleman (who I believe is a manager) was wearing a mask. The food was delicious. We each got a different pasta. We also tried the Italian cream soda which was FANTASTIC! Oh and for checking in on Yelp we got a free garlic cheese bread. Based on the food we'd probably go again, however we'd need to be in the mood for possibly having bad service. read more

Caffe Capri is one of favorite spots in Bryan/College Station. It is Italian, but many of the dishes have a Cajun twist. My favorite is the Lobster, penne pasta in a Cajun cream sauce with sun dried tomatoes and pieces of lobster. My wife says the Eggplant Parmigiana is the best. A modest wine list, but they are all good. Excellent desserts, Tiramisu, Cheesecake, Cannoli and more. Service is great. The owner Remi Cerone is an excellent host. We highly recommend Caffe Capri. read more

The menu was more limited than what's online. My dish was ok. I got the skinny Italian and added chicken & pasta. Not sure if adding pasta made a big difference in taste, but I wanted all the veggies that the dish had. My husband got baked penne and really enjoyed it. The bread was amazing. They only brought 2 slices and we had to ask for more, so make sure you ask for more if you want it. The cheesecake was amazing. Huge piece - enough for 2 people. My group of 5 happened to be walking through downtown Bryan on a whim after visiting the new plant shop nearby. We stood directly outside of Caffe Capri for a while, trying to decide on a restaurant, and eventually decided to walk in. We couldn't have had a better experience. Our waiter was fantastic, and the ambiance was lovely. I'm a big fan of a good coffered ceiling, and I loved our seat by the window. I tried their Riesling, and it had a great pepper flavor. Their bread is from Zeitman's next door, and it was fantastic in the oil and balsamic. My friends loved their ravioli, and I found the tortellini alla capri to be exactly what I was hoping for. The crab adds a nice zing to the basil cream sauce, and the mushrooms and tortellini were cooked perfectly. We ordered one of every dessert on the menu, and there were no disappointments. The cannoli filling was flavorful and creamy, the tiramisu didn't taste too much like spiced rum (which I liked), the mousse cake was beautifully rich, and I'm not a cheesecake fan, but I was even impressed with the cheesecake. Everything I have tried has been fantastic and the price is great. A place like this for 2 people in a downtown of a big city would cost easily $150+ but here it's less than $40 on many occasions. The ambiance is perfect for date night or just a casual dinner. They have a great lunch menu as well! I drove an hour to visit this restaurant during their lunch hour on a Friday which was clearly stated that they would be open. Called prior and only got an answering machine that confirmed their hours. Got there just to find that they were locked up tighter than a drum. I understand that times are difficult but they could have put it on their answering machine or on their website that they were not going to be open. Very disappointing birthday for my sister! Rami, regarding your reply: this was not the ice storm day. I would not have driven an hour on icy roads even though I wanted to try your restaurant. I wanted to give this place a great review or even good for that matter but if I'm going to continue to look at this mug of mine in a mirror then let me be honest with my avid followers. First off, this restaurant seems to be a popular destination and by all accounts a nice family establishment. Upon our arrival we were immediately greeted and seated by the owner of the business and our waiter suggested we try an appetizer from their menu which I admired the training and upsell behind that! We were informed that the calamari was good whereas I asked was it the body and tentacles? Our waiter said it was just the rings since they'd tried having both before but people would push the tentacles to the side. At this point I figured "What the heck!" and ordered the calamari rings. Our order came out with a decorative small fry basket and over/under coated calamari rings with a tomato dipping sauce. I asked a cook for lemon and overall the calamari was tender but not what I'd define as restaurant standard quality. Moving on the better half ordered Fetuchinni Alfredo and I got the Eggplant Parmigiano. My wife's pasta was not al'dente but very undercooked, pasta stuck together and a soupy sauce. The waiter asked if my wife wanted Parmesean Cheese so I asked if it was basic Parmesean or Reggiano? Our poor waiter looked at me like I asked him what came first the olive tree or the olive but then replied it was cheese in a canister they had. Moving on to my dinner choice I received a plate with spaghetti covered with a soupy white sauce however it was different then my wife's. On top of the pasta was 2 very thin 4"x 2" peices of oily breaded eggplant. Between was a thick slice of mozzarella and the entire thing had a red tomato sauce on it. In my life I've eaten at many good and bad restaurants and I'm of Italian Euro Heritage so I've grown up with, cooked and served restaurateurs my food and I've never had a disappointed tasting! Where I'm going is "WHY!!" would you have a White Sauce and a Red Sauce on the same entree plate!? Please enlighten me! For an advisement extra Capris has an oil/Balsamic dip on the table that should have fresh herbs and a reduced Balsamic as opposed to whatever they currently are using. Also, bread is served that I took is made in the restaurant from the smell and texture that's a nice touch! The only professional comment I'd suggest is "Let your bread proof longer!" Other then the aforementioned verbal diarrhea I'd say if you want Italian Food that's very plain and simple of no specific flavor profile of any region of Italy then Capris your go to spot! read more

I came from San Francisco to work for the summer and this place drew me in on one of my first visits to Bryan - I feel like I discovered a hidden gem! The owner Rami whipped up this beautiful vegan entre with gluten-free noodles out of thin air- it was so fresh and healthy and delish! I hear he does that a lot so if you don't see something you want - just ask! The bar is stunning and he knows his wines - even introduced me to lovely Mendoza blend that I'd never heard of but is one of my new faves. They also serve fresh bread to keep you from losing your head too fast... The place has a lot of history, the staff is full of personality and spirit and I feel like this could be my new "Cheers!" It just needs a balcony patio and some olive tapenade...but then I may never leave :-) read more

The first time we went to Caffe' Capri, we were impressed with the quality and the great price. Upon retuning twice however, it seemed a little lackluster. In particular, the spaghetti with meatballs clearly uses frozen meatballs and the portion was on the small side. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo also had a seriously off taste the last time we went. The dishes were criminally under salted as well. Might have just been an off day, though. We'll happily come back and give it another shot in the future! read more

The server was nice and prompt. This is the only thing nice I can say. I have allergies so I called ahead. I was told to stay away from the chicken, but everything else could be safe (with me bringing my own noodles). I got the Alfredo sauce with salmon. There was zero flavor. It was like milk on noodles. My mother got spaghetti and meatballs marinara. She said it tasted like tomato sauce with dog food meat. The noodles and sauce tasted as if they had been frozen then reheated. My husband got there lasagna. This is something that they have a paragraph explaining how great it is. He said it too tasted like reheated tomato sauce with noodles. Bottom line is there was no flavor. This "Italian" restaurant needs a lesson on cooking Italian food. Don't waist your money! PS: I brought my own noodles and was charged full price. read more

This is a cute place I visited in downtown Bryan. We got there around 6:30 PM and were seated immediately. The bread that they gave us in the beginning was really good! I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and we got free a free ravioli from using the check in! The service was pretty quick which is great. However, I thought the food was just okay. The serving size is pretty decent, but the pasta seemed really bland to me and I couldn't eat too much of it.
