This is my homemade Chicken Piccata.
    Bryce H.

Tonight (03.01.26) was my first time visiting this restaurant. I ordered the Chicken Piccata. It came with pasta and spinach with a sauce (I'm assuming some kind of lemon sauce). It was underwhelming to say the least. The chicken piccata was moist but flavorless and not crispy. The pasta was bland and the sauce was too watery to stick to the pasta. The spinach was just basic. The food was 2/10. Our waiter was okay. He check on us only once but it was fine as neither of us needed anything. Services was 5/10. The ambiance was nice. Each table had a lamp that lit the table well. It seemed most tables were "booth" style and that gave each table some privacy which was nice. Ambiance was 7/10. I most definitely would not recommend and will not be visiting this establishment again. *** I have included a picture of 1860's Chicken Piccata and my homemade Chicken Piccata. You be the judge as to which looks and tastes the best.

We came to 1860 Italia for my friend's birthday and had a really good experience. They have happy hour from 5 to 7 PM where all appetizers are half off, plus select alcoholic drinks, which is such a good deal. We ordered the bread to start, which was simple but really good, and the calamari was amazing. It was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, and not overcooked at all. Easily some of the best calamari I've had in College Station. For drinks, we got the blueberry basil gimlet. It tasted like a blueberry mojito and was super refreshing. It didn't taste strong at all but definitely was, so just a heads up. Really good and easy to drink. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and it was delicious. The portion was huge and I was really hungry and still barely finished it. The prices are a bit higher than average, but the portions are big and the atmosphere feels very nice and more high end. Service was good overall. We were wondering if they would do a free dessert for my friend's birthday, but they didn't hehe. Not a big deal, we got dessert somewhere else after. This was my second time here, and the happy hour alone makes it worth coming back. I would definitely return.

We did a team dinner for rescue class at TEEX and visited 2x due to the high quality food, great atmosphere and top tier waitstaff! The Shrimp Carbonara was creamy and filling, the Filet cut with a spoon and was cooked to perfection, the meat ball side was the size of a softball and was great to be shared. I will make this a regular visit when in town!

Great experience. I realize the have a lot of comments about the dark atmosphere, the lights can be brighter on the table and my granddaughter loved showing everyone how to make that happen. The restaurant itself was great for this family of 8 celebrating the youngest brother's 21st. We had Abraham as our server and he was amazing. He hit everything one would want in a top tier server. He was informative, attentive and still down to earth and able to understand this families' quirks! We did not have any complaints about the food we were served! Large portions, drinks were all amazing. Each of us got a different entree. Baked Ziti - Hubby hardly orders pasta, loved this one. The sauce had the right amount of heat with a slight sweetness. Linguine and Clams - Birthday Boy loved and says it's definitely a cravable entree that he would go back for. Chicken Parmesan- a lot, made our son's girlfriend happy and did not disappoint Chicken Alfredo - so much food here, Son's fiancé had to take the rest home but loved it. Scallop Special - oldest son loved the portion size and size of the scallops Gnocchi- son#4 has eaten here before and swears by it, even though he claims it's not as good as his mommas I got the filet with the mushrooms and sautéed spinach. Cooked perfectly medium rare, cut like butter. Didn't want the onion rings it came with, but it came with it. So just sent them home with one of the kids. Granddaughter got spaghetti noodles with a butter sauce -- she is 3 and ate half the full adult portion. Prices are high end, but seriously when making a reservation you would know that. Great date night or big celebration dinner to book!!

I've been here a few times and those would all be 4/5 stars. This time, however, was disappointing to say the least. The ambiance has always been overwhelming. The restaurant is dim, but some random lights were white lights while majority are yellow so it just gets confusing. It's also just generally very packed. What really separated this experience from previous times though was the fact that the red gravy was very bad. This is the most redeemable quality of the restaurant, but it was way too sweet this time and made our food nearly inedible. The tiramisu is amazing and probably my favorite in BCS. Lastly, the most upsetting part about our experience was our waitress. Every single person in that restaurant was given a bag for their to-go items, but ours gave us three boxes of different sizes and expected us to just walk out with it. I had to ask her for a bag. She also charged us for replacing the Italian sausage with a beef meatball in the Baked Ziti. I think it's kind of insane to charge extra for a meat replacement that costs the same on the menu (both $6) in 2025, especially when it's because of dietary restrictions. It's also extra upsetting considering last time we came they didn't charge us. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and walked out very unhappy. Not sure I'll be coming here again.

We had dinner here Friday with a large group with 3 small children. Our waiter, ugh I forgot his name, was extremely informative, patient and attentive. The food was delicious. The appetizer bread was phenomenal.

    Pollo Parmesan & Pizza

Very delicious ! Went back as soon as we could Caesar salad is a must & comes in a shareable bowl House bread and pizza are freshly made so very soft. Ask for some extra oil on the side for the house bread to dip Chicken parmigiana came fresh and still crispy ! I didn't love the shrimp linguini, little to no flavor so I was left with a big bowl of noodles since the shrimp and tomatoes were the only contributors Nevertheless I'll definitely be back! It was delicious and we're excited to try new things

We had a business dinner here which I was super happy about as I've been wanting to try this place! Atmosphere I loved as I prefer darker settings while having dinner! Our waitress was absolutely amazing! I already knew what I wanted, the lobster carbonara which was good but if I'm going to an Italian place I want fresh pasta made in house this was not! Calamari and shrimp appetizers were really good! Tiramisu was so GOOD as well! We will go back!

Great service and a nice atmosphere, but can't say I enjoyed the food too much. I went in with very high expectations for the food, but it was disappointing. The chicken Marsala had somewhat dry chicken breasts in a soup of light sauce and mushrooms, the fettuccine was just pasta in heavy cream (and yes the pasta itself was good, but the cream didn't really have much flavor of Italian seasoning or Parmesan), and the appetizers were mostly average expect for the fried mozzarella (that was the only enjoyable dish I tried). Overall disappointed, but maybe there is hope in the other dishes I didn't try.

We were seated quickly and our waiter was very attentive, and was patient and understanding as we were still waiting to see if some business colleagues were going to come. The ambiance was upscale with luxurious appointments throughout. We ordered the seafood tower (10/10). I ordered the Old Fashion with Buffalo Trace (9/10) and it was prepared just the way I like it. For my main, I ordered the Braised Short Rib (9/10), which included truffle potato cream and cipollini onions. The short rib was cooked so well and was tender and didn't need a knife to break apart! I finished it with the chocolate dessert (9/10) that was like a molten lava cake. It was delicious and a great dessert to finish the meal. As a bonus, we got to partake in some fine spirits (10/10). They had a healthy selection of fine bourbons and spirits! Great restaurant for a nice upscale dinner or business meal in the College Station area!

I heard someone mentioning that this might be finest restaurant in College Station - but I will let you be the judge of it. Restaurant offers huge wine list, a book style. Keep in mind that looking for the "second cheapest wine" will not work there - price points a randomly distributed, so you really need to look for a decent wine at decent price - our choice Il Borro Pian di Nova at $80 had reasonable QPR. We had a number of appetizers - not bad on average, but non stood out. Arugula and pear salad had strangely off putting flavor. I had pasta bolognese with wagyu beef sauce and it was good, no complaints. Good service, prompt and friendly.

The place is classically decorated and clean. First, to me, the sign of a great restaurant is an owner or manager who comes by the table, to see how their guests are doing. The owner, Tracy, did just that, asking how everything was and visiting for a short time. That was appreciated. For our meal, we had bread sticks with parm, Lasagna, Manicotti and Angel hair pasta. It was a very nice meal with loved ones that we enjoyed very much. Everything was really good and at a fair price. What strikes me the most about Fritella is not just the food, but the family feel. While we were there, a group of ladies showed up for lunch, then proceeded to enjoy a game of bridge with their friends. This is exactly what I think of, when I think of Frittella.
