We came to 1860 Italia for my friend's birthday and had a really good experience. They have happy hour from 5 to 7 PM where all appetizers are half off, plus select alcoholic drinks, which is such a good deal. We ordered the bread to start, which was simple but really good, and the calamari was amazing. It was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside, and not overcooked at all. Easily some of the best calamari I've had in College Station. For drinks, we got the blueberry basil gimlet. It tasted like a blueberry mojito and was super refreshing. It didn't taste strong at all but definitely was, so just a heads up. Really good and easy to drink. I ordered the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and it was delicious. The portion was huge and I was really hungry and still barely finished it. The prices are a bit higher than average, but the portions are big and the atmosphere feels very nice and more high end. Service was good overall. We were wondering if they would do a free dessert for my friend's birthday, but they didn't hehe. Not a big deal, we got dessert somewhere else after. This was my second time here, and the happy hour alone makes it worth coming back. I would definitely return.

Great experience. I realize the have a lot of comments about the dark atmosphere, the lights can be brighter on the table and my granddaughter loved showing everyone how to make that happen. The restaurant itself was great for this family of 8 celebrating the youngest brother's 21st. We had Abraham as our server and he was amazing. He hit everything one would want in a top tier server. He was informative, attentive and still down to earth and able to understand this families' quirks! We did not have any complaints about the food we were served! Large portions, drinks were all amazing. Each of us got a different entree. Baked Ziti - Hubby hardly orders pasta, loved this one. The sauce had the right amount of heat with a slight sweetness. Linguine and Clams - Birthday Boy loved and says it's definitely a cravable entree that he would go back for. Chicken Parmesan- a lot, made our son's girlfriend happy and did not disappoint Chicken Alfredo - so much food here, Son's fiancé had to take the rest home but loved it. Scallop Special - oldest son loved the portion size and size of the scallops Gnocchi- son#4 has eaten here before and swears by it, even though he claims it's not as good as his mommas I got the filet with the mushrooms and sautéed spinach. Cooked perfectly medium rare, cut like butter. Didn't want the onion rings it came with, but it came with it. So just sent them home with one of the kids. Granddaughter got spaghetti noodles with a butter sauce -- she is 3 and ate half the full adult portion. Prices are high end, but seriously when making a reservation you would know that. Great date night or big celebration dinner to book!!

We had dinner here Friday with a large group with 3 small children. Our waiter, ugh I forgot his name, was extremely informative, patient and attentive. The food was delicious. The appetizer bread was phenomenal.

I've been here a few times and those would all be 4/5 stars. This time, however, was disappointing to say the least. The ambiance has always been overwhelming. The restaurant is dim, but some random lights were white lights while majority are yellow so it just gets confusing. It's also just generally very packed. What really separated this experience from previous times though was the fact that the red gravy was very bad. This is the most redeemable quality of the restaurant, but it was way too sweet this time and made our food nearly inedible. The tiramisu is amazing and probably my favorite in BCS. Lastly, the most upsetting part about our experience was our waitress. Every single person in that restaurant was given a bag for their to-go items, but ours gave us three boxes of different sizes and expected us to just walk out with it. I had to ask her for a bag. She also charged us for replacing the Italian sausage with a beef meatball in the Baked Ziti. I think it's kind of insane to charge extra for a meat replacement that costs the same on the menu (both $6) in 2025, especially when it's because of dietary restrictions. It's also extra upsetting considering last time we came they didn't charge us. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and walked out very unhappy. Not sure I'll be coming here again.

Very delicious ! Went back as soon as we could Caesar salad is a must & comes in a shareable bowl House bread and pizza are freshly made so very soft. Ask for some extra oil on the side for the house bread to dip Chicken parmigiana came fresh and still crispy ! I didn't love the shrimp linguini, little to no flavor so I was left with a big bowl of noodles since the shrimp and tomatoes were the only contributors Nevertheless I'll definitely be back! It was delicious and we're excited to try new things

We had a business dinner here which I was super happy about as I've been wanting to try this place! Atmosphere I loved as I prefer darker settings while having dinner! Our waitress was absolutely amazing! I already knew what I wanted, the lobster carbonara which was good but if I'm going to an Italian place I want fresh pasta made in house this was not! Calamari and shrimp appetizers were really good! Tiramisu was so GOOD as well! We will go back!

Great service and a nice atmosphere, but can't say I enjoyed the food too much. I went in with very high expectations for the food, but it was disappointing. The chicken Marsala had somewhat dry chicken breasts in a soup of light sauce and mushrooms, the fettuccine was just pasta in heavy cream (and yes the pasta itself was good, but the cream didn't really have much flavor of Italian seasoning or Parmesan), and the appetizers were mostly average expect for the fried mozzarella (that was the only enjoyable dish I tried). Overall disappointed, but maybe there is hope in the other dishes I didn't try.

The restaurant is pretty dimly lit, it feels very upstate when you walk in. Appetizers are half off on monday, be sure to grab the shrimp scampi. It was so amazing and it comes with the house made bread which is very good. 100% worth the deal. The calamari has been one of the best ive had in cstat, so would def pick it up on a monday as well if you can. The spaghetti sauce is on the sweeter side, which can be a turn off for some. Not a lot of lobster in the lobster carbonara, could barely taste it but otherwise very good. The service is relatively quick and I love that the staff pack your leftovers for you in a disposable aluminum pan! Feels very premium.

After spending 22 years in Rock Hill, SC, I rarely found a pie that could stand up to true NY/NJ standards. Now that I'm retired and living in Bryan, TX, I've been on the hunt for anything close to authentic New York-style pizza. By pure luck, we stumbled into Champion Pizza at 2008 Texas Ave S, College Station, TX 77840 -- and what a find. Only afterward did we learn that the owner and founder runs several pizza shops in New York and brought that same craft down here to Texas. Suddenly it all made sense. The crust, the sauce, the fold... it's the real deal. It tasted like home. I absolutely love it, and I tip my hat to the team working there. We were genuinely fortunate to walk into the right place at the right time. So if you want the closes thing to NY style pizza, come to this place.

The ambiance was very laid back, and the bathroom was pristine. If you have not tried out Champion Pizza yet, you are missing out!

I had the wings combo, which was 10 wings and tater tots (with an option for fries). My brother and nephew had the same thing. They have a range of sauces or rubs you can choose. I have a wimpy palette so I had the honey bourbon BBQ. The wings were excellent, crispy skin and moist inside. The sauce was very nice also. The tater tots were great but there are a LOT of them. Ambiance: Our server Tristan was excellent, friendly, and attentive. The food came out quickly, and the restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating options. The lighting is on the dimmer side, and there are lots of TVs for entertainment. Drinks: We ordered a Moscow Mule and a Lemon Drop Martini. The Lemon Drop was sweet, refreshing, and smooth without a strong alcohol taste. The Moscow Mule was equally enjoyable, with a crisp ginger beer that added a nice fizz. Pretzel Bites: These were golden, crispy, and delicious. They came with honey mustard and queso, both of which paired perfectly, though the bites were flavorful enough to enjoy on their own. All-Meat Pizza: One of the best pizzas I have had. It was loaded with cheese and a great mix of meats, rich and savory. The bacon stood out in particular. It was crispy, smoky, and packed with flavor that really elevated the whole pizza.
