For a gal who doesn't drink caffeine...I loved this cafe. Welcoming atmosphere with knowledgeable friendly staff who made great suggestions. I had the salmon croissant, it was delicious and full of flavor. The croissant was fluffy and buttery, truly delicious. My husband opted for the avocado toast with salmon, I will have to try it next time. We shared the peanut butter crepe, light and really good. I don't even had a chai with coconut milk, it was hot...I like my beverages really hot. Great first experience, we will definitely be back.

Came to Caffeine with my friends thinking this would be our new favorite study spot because it looks so cute in pictures. To be honest, we were a bit underwhelmed. The drinks are flashy with fun flavors, but they tasted average at best and are a bit pricey. The interior is cute, but the space is long and narrow with windows only at the front of the shop. I would stop by if I were in the area, but would not travel to come here.

caffeine is well decorated which brings a great ambiance and plenty of space to do work as well. The coffee is pretty avg and they have the typical selection. Raspberry croissant was also decent and they have a host of other baked goods/breakfast items

This is a coffee spot in Lakewood that I can see myself going with friends for brunch and a nice chat, or getting some studying done. It was pretty crowded even before COVID precautions were completely lifted though, so if you're more into a quiet study environment this might not be the best choice for you. I got the beet latte, which was a lovely pink color and had a subtle earthy taste. My friend got the white fruit tea and it tasted watered down, but that's also the charm behind white tea I suppose :P Regardless, it wasn't fruity enough for either of us. We both got croissant sandwiches, and even though the filling of the sandwiches were decent, the croissants seemed a bit stale. So while shop appearance was a 5/5, the food itself left something to be desired. But maybe we just got the wrong items, I seem to always hear a lot of good things about this place!

Cute coffee shop. My friends are the coffee drinkers and they enjoyed their drinks. I just ordered the pan de raisin. It was yummy. Just wish they'd heat it up for you (Unless you have to ask then that's my bad). They only had one person working to fulfill all the drink orders and at one point there were like 5 people waiting. The worker did a great job.

Really cool coffee spot with nice chill vibes! The atmosphere is clean, bright and spacious with an awesome feature wall. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Really great place to catch up on work or studying! The lattes we got were so good and made with very professional latte art. The music is chill and upbeat which goes very well with the feel of the space. At the time we were here they were out of bread and croissants so we will have to try those next time. If you're looking for amazing coffee and a cool place then this is the place for you!

Loved this place because the staff was just that amazing. I got their turmeric latte which was delicious. I was so surprised to see a turmeric latte on their menu. I work right next door and I always pass by this place and it didn't occur to me to check it out except for today. Definitely happy I made the stop!!!! Loved it.

Caffeine has a great vibe inside. This is exactly the type of coffee place that I like to visit and just sit down for a while. It's a good spot to meet with someone or to bring a laptop and do some work. They have some great cold drink options like the frappe which I would definitely recommend. They also offer some sandwiches and pastries if you're looking for something light.

30 April 2019 (Tuesday) I continue to explore tea shops around town. Caffeine is a super chic and new cafe in Lakewood. There is a limited menu for now but they will expand the menu a bit this summer. I think the menu is actually fine as it is - simple. They do plan to add a waffle cone dessert with ice-cream and also smoothies. AMBIANCE -- I love the whole aesthetic and warm, inviting feeling inside. The furniture is comfortable (sofas) and there is plenty of other seating available (tables and chairs). The light fixtures are unique and nice. It is bright inside and conducive to getting work done or studying. They do play music but I'm sure you can ask them to turn the volume down if it is bothering you. I was fine with the music volume and I actually want their playlist. So if the owner is reading this review, message me the playlist...LOL. WIFI -- Ask them for the password and they will give it to you. The wifi worked well the whole time I was there. I suggest making a purchase first before using their wifi since that is just common courtesy. SERVICE -- Service was wonderful. A young man by the name of Tony (I think) helped me. I loved his Ukrainian accent. He asked if it was my first time here (yes, it was) and he then explained the menu to me. After I ordered, another gentleman brought my food to me. My plate and mug was taken away when I was done. DRINKS / FOOD -- I ordered the peach tea ($2.75) and the salmon croissant sandwich ($8.95). The peach tea came in a clear glass mug. It is a loose leaf tea from Adiago (a tea company). It was very refreshing. I added a little bit of raw sugar to it which actually is not needed. They have drink condiments for you (sugar and creamer) if you want to add those. The salmon croissant was delicious. It came with a small side salad. The salmon croissant came with tomatoes and greens. It also had some sort of cheese or cream spread which was an okay taste but not bad. Overall, I loved this croissant and I will be back to try some of their sweet pastries. Please note, the croissant sandwiches are a bit on the pricey side ($8+) but well worth the taste. I highly recommend that you come in to support Caffeine. They have a variety of coffee and tea drinks as well as sweet and savoury pastries (croissants). They just opened 10 days ago (April 2019) and they will begin to offer some additional menu items soon. The Root Cafe down the street may have a new competitor. **** - 69 total reviews in 2019 - 278 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 30 April 2019

Besides smoothies, they sell ginger shots, snacks, energy drinks (but the natural ones), and salads. SMOOTHIES -- If you love health and wellness then you'll like their smoothies which are all made fresh, in-house. So far, I believe I've tried either the 'Total Energy' ($6.50) or 'Total Energy Plus' ($7.50) and ' Carlos Detox' ($7.50). The ingredients are clean and simple (greens with fruit or just fruit alone). Some smoothies have peanut butter, almond milk, orange juice, and even coffee in them. PARKING -- Park in the shopping plaza parking lot where Chipotle and Marcs grocery store is located which is just across the street from this Juicery. Coming from California, where the food scene is extremely competitive, it can be hard to find places in Cleveland that consistently deliver fresh, quality ingredients, but this spot has been a pleasant surprise so far. Also, the current hours listed on Yelp don't seem to be accurate, which unfortunately happens with a lot of Yelp listings. Other than that, I've had a great experience each time.

Puerto Rican Frappes!…read more New frappe is in town! Frappe Artesanal is a brand new Puerto Rican cafe! By new I mean that the grand opening sign and balloons are still up. Grand Opening was on June 2, 2025! Frappe Artesanal has another location in Kissimmee, FL, but ours is better! Why? As I learned, CLE location combines Paradise Cakes and Frappe Astesanal (double the sugar and fun!) Here's the scoop! The atmosphere at this cafe is very festive! Latin music is blasting outside! This cafe is a little humble takeout destination. There is very limited seating inside. There are pops of color in its menu and on its walls. Funky cupcake walls are so fun! The cafe is bilingual (Spanish-English) in terms of the menu and customer service. All guests at the cafe were Latin and super excited about this concept! Pricing seemed very reasonable compared to other similar eateries (although there are strange charges on the receipt). Customer service was friendly, they answered all of my curious questions about the new concept in a friendly manner. The cafe has many fun food and drink options - bowls, frappes (multiple categories including those containing coffee, fruits, chocolate, cookies, candy, and nuts), cheesecake bowls, Van Gogh drinks, and even keto smoothies! More importantly Dubai chocolate options - bowls, smoothies, and cups! CLE location sells a variety of products from Paradise Cakes. Those include tres leches and other sweets stored in the coolers. I learned that Paradise cakes are famous Puerto Rican treats around the city (also sold at Save A Lot and other locations). You can order right at the counter, the orders are prepared in the kitchen and available fairly quickly. My order: -Dubai Frappe ($8.63 with $1 processing fee for credit card use) - The base was strawberry slushie which seemed too watery and bland. I don't think that real strawberries were used. The ingredients were fire - chocolate lining, real pistachio, and pistachio base. The frappe was delicious. It gets even better at the bottom of the cup when you taste pistachio paste and pistachios. It's not a frappe (meaning coffee) in its traditional sense. I can't say that this was the best Dubai chocolate I've tried in our city, but it was very good. -Paradise Cakes Quesito Pastry ($6.49 with $1 processing fee for credit card use) - Flakey, glossy, super fresh pastry with cream cheese. It is beyond amazing! I could easily have many of these! The box had 6 pastries, so they're shareable. Very reasonable price! Cons: - No bathroom for customers to use - No outdoor or indoor comfy seating to sip frappes - Very overwhelming menu, so many choices. Check my photos of the menu or browse the menu at their FL location - Challenging parking in the area - No dedicated website for CLE (except Facebook - Frappe Artesanal Cleveland) - Confusing item charges (each of my receipts had 3 different taxes - 5.75%, 1.25%, 1%) As far as hours, I confirmed the following hours with the cafe: - Monday to Thursday 12:30-9:00pm - Friday and Saturday 12:30-10:30 - Sunday 12:30-9:00 Overall, I plan to come back to order more quesito pastries and try tres leches cakes! I also want to experience Van Gogh drinks! Oh, and more vibrant drinks!

I was excited to see the curbside option because I am still wary of going in establishments given the unpredictability with the pandemic. I will say my excitement went down with each leg of the experience and I will tell you why. The first thing I noticed was no prices or ingredients on the menu. I didn't think *too* much of this upfront because I expect a nutrient focused product to be more pricy then say a tea at a local chain. I was bothered by the lack of listed ingredients. I think they rely on the look of their product on instagram. They will post a delicious looking shake, call it half-baked, and rely on your mind wandering to delicious treats by the same name. When I seek something health conscious, the first thing. I look at is the ingredients. I did throw this out the window, though, and decided to try tea anyway because it was a super hot day. I called to place my order, like it says online, and someone answered the phone and said "hello?". No "West Park Nutrition" no "How can I help you?" nothing. This threw me off because I thought I called the wrong number. I said I wanted to place an order and she simply said "text me and I'll get it ready for you". Red flag number two, but I simply attributed this to being more of a young, new school kind of place. I texted my order and then texted the same number when I arrived. For all other curbside experiences I've done in the last few months you notify them when you get there. I got a response after about 5 minutes that said "did you come in? by the way, we don't have one of the flavors you ordered". This is a big red flag number three for me because I would not have ordered if I knew I had to go inside. I assumed curbside and carry out meant that curbside orders were brought out to you. Nevertheless, I went inside to follow through with my order. I adjusted my flavor and worked with the guy behind the counter who was very nice. He was apologetic about the miscommunication between flavors that were in stock and I assured him it was no big deal. He handed over my teas (I ordered 2 large teas) and I found out at check out that my total was almost $20. I will say I can't imagine any other instance where I would pay this much for 2 teas, let alone ones where I didn't know the ingredients. Our teas were tasty enough, but they were almost reminiscent of a pre-work out kind of taste. While those can ne "tasty" for a pre work out, they aren't something I sip on for enjoyment. I drink aloe daily, and that's not the flavor I was picking up. I wanted to love this place, and I may return in the future, but definitely not at this location. It was unclear if you order tea as a pair to a shake, or if they are priced separately. If they come together as a package, I was not advised of that when I ordered or when I said I had never been in before. The whole process was confusing, disjointed, and way over priced in my opinion. If you are looking for a potentially "healthier" option to like a traditional shake, this may be your place. It's hard to say given the lack of ingredients. I would say don't be drawn in by social media and the promise of curbside like I was. Go in, ask questions, and get the information before you go through with an order. I would do that differently knowing what I know now!

The front is unassuming, and this combo isn't something you see every day, but somehow, it works... or at least, it's interesting enough to give it a shot. I visited the coffee shop side while working nearby (walking distance) at the co-working center (Icon Cowork). I ordered the red eye. Honestly? It delivered. It wired me for days. It was extremely strong and not well crafted (too much, definitely not barista made). But boy did it do its job. While at the coffee shop, I noticed a small menu of other drinks and no baked goods in the case. It just really had the basics. Service was very quick. The barista (who worked both sides of the house) was nice enough, but the vibe was more transactional than inviting. Not rude, just kind of indifferent. The space had enough tables to sit at and very quiet atmosphere. One thing I couldn't ignore was the scent of vape juice hanging in the air. It didn't bother me personally, but I can see how that could be a turn-off if you're expecting more of a traditional coffee shop aesthetic. Of note is that both sides of the business have the same entrance. They're working on dividing the space into two separate ones according to my quick chat with the employee. Currently the coffee shop has no age restrictions while the smoke shop is 21+. Overall? Burning River Coffee is quirky and good for a simple cup of coffee. It's not a textbook coffee shop experience -- it's its own thing. Just don't expect the usual indie-coffeehouse playlist and aesthetic. Expect something unexpected and different.
