This place has been on my list for a while and I finally went. They have a drive-thru, which is so convenient. The service is quick, and the staff is friendly. Their cup sizes are very appropriate for the price. Most importantly, the drink I got is 10/10- so yummy! Will definitely be going back to explore more from their menu. A young woman that works there was assisting customers and their pay machine malfunctioned, so she quickly worked something for me, which was so sweet of her! Side note- I love the name "Caffeine Queens" and their purple straw! So chic and girly. read more

Super disappointed with the new ownership, I've gone to this place since it's opened and now they're making so many changes. No more drip coffee and no more decaf. I'm pregnant so decaf has been my Saturday morning go to so I can still get the taste of coffee and now there's none at all. Basically the only drink I could have there at the moment is lemonade. This is a cool coffee spot in Lakeside, a suburb of San Diego. It's mostly a drive thru, but I did walk up to order an iced coffee, and they still served me. The iced coffee with 2% milk was relatively inexpensive at $3.50 plus tax, essentially for $4. It was pretty good coffee with a smooth start but it did have a slight bitterness towards the end. This is honestly such a cool spot. I'm a total coffee, snob and caffeine connoisseur and this local woman own business never misses the mark. It's drive-through only and located in the planet fitness parking lot by the BARBER. You can easily drive by it, but I highly suggest you keep an eye out for it next time you're in Lakeside! They have delicious specialty shake, and espresso, energy drinks as well as regular coffee. They have delicious açaí other breakfast items. My absolute favorite is the cherry almond Royale ice shaken espresso. My tip is to add an extra shot for their large ice drinks. Even with the ad shot, their prices are still so much better than the nationwide chain coffee shops. * cough cough * They also have really cool, healthy protein, coffees, and pre-your post gym drinks. Came across this place after attending the 61st western days parade that my daughter precipitated in as she is in miss military star pageant, and the folks next to me were having an açai bowl so I came over to try it and let me tell you I was not disappointed, hoping to come back and try. This is one of very few local coffee spots you can find in the area! It's kind of hidden on the side of a barber shop because there is no interior, only a drive thru. I tried the caramel maciato and lavender latte. We really enjoyed both and would order again. I will definitely come back when I'm in the area. read more

My chocolate mocha was delicious....first time stopping by. I have to say it was better than the Mochas I have had at other coffee places.

First time here today i got the pineapple upside down energy infusion and it's really good. Pineapple drinks and refbull infusions are usually too sweet or you just taste the redbull. This is mixed so well. The staff had good attitudes and the service was really fast. I will be back for sure to try a coffee drink my next visit. read more

24oz drinks are insane! 22oz of milk!, why even add coffee to it. I had to customize my drink in order to actually be able to taste the coffee. Drive thru only, tough, however they did have someone outside with a handheld. One thing that turned me off was seeing the milk out in the counter, total health code violation. It's sucks because there's really no sense of personality here other than the sticker on the cup which even that is pretty plain Jane. I would work with the management company on getting on or two of the parking spots outside in front so they can do pick-up and not have to get stuck in line at the drive thru. I would really make the wall that the menus are our something special, a local artist could come and do an amazing mural just to light and open up to be seen more. I love supporting small business and really hope this place makes some big changes to get the attention they need. I would rethink the drinks sizes and some small grab n go non heated items to keep it flowing but still offer a small bite for on the road. Coffee 5/10 read more

My favorite local coffee spot! I'm obsessed with their caramel almond royale and Queen's delight. Their coffee is premium quality and service is friendly. Whenever I have friends or family in town, I always recommend this spot and they end up loving it, to the point where every time they visit, they have to stop by here. read more

I wanted to try something new and I prefer a smaller local coffee spot over Starbucks any day. But I wasn't too impressed with this place. The girl taking my order recommended the Queens delight- vanilla powder, caramel sauce, cream, and caramel drizzle and said it was their most popular hot drink. Being the queen that I am, I took her advice and ordered the drink. To my disappointment, it tasted like warm vanilla flavored milk. The color of my latte had a faint tint of beige and I could not taste any of the espresso that was supposed to be in the drink. I could not finish this and it was a waste of $6.50. I found the queens delight very weak and there was no boost in my proactivity after drinking some of this. Mehhh, I don't think I'll be back. It's drive thru only and service was okay. There were 3 people preparing the drink and 1 person taking orders. Not much for customer service here as there is little human interaction. I don't care either way, being the hermit that I am, I only care that I get what I pay for. So if you like warm flavored milk, this is the place for you. read more

Overall, my experience wasn't bad, but this spot is definitely for those who like a sweet coffee. It's a drive-thru only, so not a spot to hang out or get work done. That being said, I was fourth in like and the service felt pretty quick. I tried the snickerdoodle, no modifications. It felt like I was drinking a dessert. My family and I just moved to the other side of Lakeside. The closest coffee shop to us is Caffeine Queens. It's a drive-thru only but the coffee is so good. There is a Starbucks around the corner but this coffee is legitimately so good. I also go to the gym at Planet Fitness, which is in the same parking lot. Caffeine Queens offers a protein coffee which tastes great after a workout. The staff has been friendly both times I've been so far and made some great recommendations. We will be coming here often. read more

Second week in a row ordered two açai berry bowls with peanut butter. The first week they didn't have the peanut butter in it and the açai was runny, Just came in again and verified that it was peanut butter this time and she said yes, but gave me a separate cup of peanut butter and the açai was so soupy you could literally drink it. Finally got to try Caffeine Queens today. We had an iced vanilla lavender chai latte and iced mocha. They were both really good drinks. I'm not sure if the chai latte actually had lavender as the flavor was very mild if it was at all there. I didn't mind though because I love chai lattes. They have a very extensive menu. I've been a loyal customer of Caffeine Queens for the past two years, and for a long time, it was my go-to spot for great coffee and friendly service. The coffee is still excellent--when it's available and hot--but unfortunately, the service has taken a noticeable downturn over the last six months. On 4 out of my last 5 visits, they were out of something as basic as a regular cup of drip coffee. Today, I finally got one, but it was cold. It's frustrating because the quality of the coffee itself is still top-notch, but the inconsistency and lack of basic availability really take away from the experience. If you're planning to stop by, just make sure you bring a little extra patience. Here's hoping they can get back to the level of service that made them such a standout in the first place. read more

One day, not too long ago, I was taking one of my normal walks around Lindo Lake and I happened to see something on top of one of the wooden posts. Of course I had to investigate. What did I find. A cute little 3D printed crown and a small card for one free espresso drink at Caffeine Queens. Well, I am delighted by small finds, so I was pretty excited. I didn`t even know there was a small coffee shop close by and I`m trying to go to Starbucks less. The first time I went, I forgot that I had left the crown and card in my house, but I mentioned it and they told me they needed to have the card in hand to redeem my free drink. Okay! No problem. I still got myself and my mom a coffee because we were there. After I paid I asked if there was a rewards program to earn free drinks, they said yes but that I could get set up NEXT time with my phone number and link it to a card. I was slightly put off by that because it seems they still could have set me up, but whatever. I got a hot vanilla latte with oatmilk and my mom had a hazelnut latte with oatmilk and both were very good. Here is the thing: I don`t like super sweet drinks and these drinks had the perfect amount of syrup to make them delicious but not too sugary. My mom and I agreed that we would return. Return we did for some hot dirty chais with oatmilk(this time I got set up for the rewards and used the freebie card) and again, really delicious drink. I`ve been a few times since and if I`m close to Lakeside, CQ is where I will go for coffee. The set-up is different in that it is an opening in the side of a building(not a window) and you can see your drinks being made. I like it and appreciate a drive-thru as the only option. Staff is nice enough. I will be going back again and again. If you're in the area, stop by for a coffee. read more

Got to the dentist this morning, and turns out I was an hour early. The gal at the front desk had a tray of coffees that looked amazing - asked where she got them, and she said Caffeine Queens in Lakeside about 5 miles away -.everyone loves them, so brought them in as a treat. Since I had an hour to kill, figured I'd check it out. It's just a drive-through coffee shop, but great menu, and the coffee is amazing! I got the Cinnamon roll -?-an iced latte w/ brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, cream, and vanilla cold foam. Not too sweet, but SO flavorful! The best coffee I've had in a long time!
