Food is excellent! Louise herself is very charming and gracious! We haven't been to Paris for several years, but every time we go, we dine with Louise!

Nothing but gratitude for this place. I was only in Paris for 1 day this summer. It was my first time in the city in 15 years but I needed to dash through on a day trip. I needed to find a lunch spot next to the Louvre but was worried I would have to settle for a tourist trap. This spot although just a few minutes from the Louvre gave me that true Paris meal experience during my 1 day in the city that I almost didn't dare to hope for. The Louise salad with chicken was probably the best salad I've ever had. The next time I find myself in Paris I will definitely remember this spot and come back.

The food was quite good and served quickly. I really enjoyed the dressing on the salad. Service was excellent, the staff were friendly. Very cute café.

Delicious spot to try some family style cooking for French dishes. Everything was extremely flavorful and the staff were super accommodating and friendly with English as well. Great lunch spot near the Louvre!

Dear Ms. Lili, Thank you very much for your delicious food and hospitality . We really enjoyed our boeuf bourguignon, ravioles and ratatouille. Le boeuf bourguignon (14,80 €): beef cooked in burgundy wine sauce, served with slightly chunky, not too smooth mashed potato with chive. Cassolette de ravioles du Royans en gratin, salade verte (13,80 €): roasted baby ravioli, cream, cheese and green salad. The delicious tiny, crispy, ravioli is infused with cheesy gruyere and ricotta. Hands down the best ravioli I've had in my life. Ratatouille (5,50 €): vegetable with poached eggs. We ordered too much food and you were nice enough to let us order a small portion. Coke (4,80 €): 330 ml coke. Complimentary bread basket. We couldn't believe you offered us to use your wireless charging stations and to save our portable batteries. That is a game changer in restaurant business. No wonder you were awarded Trip Advisor certificate of excellence in 2012, 2014 and 2015! You are a very sweet and smart business woman and I hope people get to know your family business. XOXO Maggie C

Linguini with tomato and basil sauce--so fresh!

We stumbled on Cafe Louise while toodling on the Louvre grounds and beautiful Tuileries Gardens. Having had poor experiences with corner cafes by tourist spots, I yelped! Local cafes. Louise's Cafe was the only one I found with over 4 stars. (Most barely had two or three.) its an easy walk from the Louvre, and well worth it. I had the linguini with tomato and basil sauce. Super fresh and flavorful--I asked for more bread to sop up the remaining sauce. My husband had the chicken club sandwich with salad. They told us a 15 minute wait, but we didn't wait that long. My husband said "...probably the best club sandwich I've ever had..." and he didn't eat his salad--but I did and it was delicious with the green beans and mustard vinaigrette. Oh, he ate half my pasta as well! we made sure to introduce ourselves to Louise, who was the lovely lady that greeted us upon arrival. We thanked her for the amazing meal, and she informed us her daughter makes the desserts. We may have to go back and try some --they looked amazing from other people's posts! As does the beouf bourginion... we may be back before our time in Paris is over! Thank you, Louise!

It took a lot of griping to get my (very cheap) dad to agree to come to this place instead of some cheap, mediocre restaurant, but finally he caved. We were in France after all, so we have to try authentic French cuisine. I picked this place of all places because it had amazing reviews on both Yelp and TripAdvisor. Needless to say, it had met and beyond exceeded my expectations! Seriously! We arrived and the restaurant seemed pretty empty. However, when we spoke to Louise (yes, the one the Cafe is named after), she explained that the empty tables had been reserved and that normally you'd have to make a reservation at the restaurant. However one of the tables was just about wrapping up and she could seat us in about 15 minutes, which was extremely reasonable. When we sat down, it was great to have her serve us personally. Not only because she was the sweetest lady ever, but also because she spoke English quite well and wasn't put off by the fact that we didn't know a lick of French. She explained the menu to us and gave us her recommendations. The food came out pretty quickly and we dove in (after snapping a few pictures). Oh my goodness, it was delicious! I had the foie gras (for the first time in my life, since it was banned in California at the time) and the way it melted in my mouth will have me craving this dish for years to come. For dessert, Louise recommended the chocolat et son cœur coulant, which was her daughter's own recipe. Oh my goodnessss, it was amazing! All in all, I had a lovely experience. I'd highly recommend this place!

Went here today after reading the good reviews and it was a great choice. We ordered the baby ravioli and the ratatouille and they were both amazing. Great staff and great prices!!!

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

So Angelina's fine. For me, it's a bit hyped up. My sister, loved it. She even bought their…read moreprepackaged bottle of hot chocolate to take home. This hot chocolate is decadent. It really tastes like melted chocolate with a bit of milk mixed in to make it more drinkable. We went at a bit of an off time, late morning and it wasn't overly busy. We saw our server once and I couldn't recall who he was when it came time to get the bill. I asked a hostess walking by for our check and she told me to ask our server while walking away. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.

THE FOOD ------------------…read more+ THEEEEEE gold standard for macarons in Paris ... or anywhere for that matter. + Macarons here are a little crisp, a little pillowy softness and a whollllllle bunch of flavor. - It cost a pretty penny (about 3 Euros for 1 piece), but you won't regret it for a second when you bite into one of these addictively delicious treats. THE SERVICE ----------------------- + All class, top notch white glove service - literally - they handle the macarons with much care like it were gold! RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------------- = Expect waits on a weekend afternoon, especially to sit down in the tea room. If you just make a store purchase, it's only about a 10 minute wait ... and you'll be thanking your legs for that. = It's a tourist destination in itself, so expect LOTS of people taking photos of this location. The staff does a great job of keeping things moving as quickly as possible, but they can only do so much as people are relaxed while enjoying their hot chocolate and treats. We noticed several tables around us getting strawberries and cream which looked amanzing but the price of this was not listed anywhere in the menu so we opted to not be sticker shocked any further (a-hem 20 euros for one glass of mimosa). Ultimately, Carette offers delicious hot chocolate and it's great to say that you went there, but I can't imagine having hot chocolate in 90 degree farenheit weather outside, after standing in line for 30 minutes, but do you boo!
