Lots of sauces, a riot of packaging and weirdly ubiquitous crispy rice (I think?). TBH one of my favorite rolls is an avocado roll. It's rice, seaweed and avocado. Stupid simple. But done well it's extremely good. Rather than internalize this lesson this place just goes full American with it. California rolls but cruelty free. Wouldn't recommend this for sushi. But a filling vegan meal, sure

There was a crispy rice dish, the Momo roll, and two other rolls. The rolls had a strong turmeric taste along with fresh fruits which made it hard to go down without making a face. Just an odd mix of flavors unfortunately for all of the rolls. I also had the spiced pear for dessert which also had strong spices which was not enjoyable. Overall, I would not recommend the set menu and to do your research on the best rolls prior to going!

This week we tried their salmon don and curry udon. The sushi rice in the salmon don was absolutely amazing, as its the ideal sticky texture, and very warm/ soft. The salmon sashimi is also very fresh. The curry udon was also very tasty. The curry soup is well made as it sits in the middle between a thin soup and not a heavy gravy. Overall, this is a cafe that serves fresh delicate Japanese eats at a affordable price with quick service. Come early as seating is limited!

I dropped by on a Thursday afternoon after checking beforehand what their weekly special was (reimen!). They also make takoyaki and okonomiyaki along with some desserts and drinks. It's cool that they have a little old school gaming system in the corner. - Reimen ($10.00) - cold ramen with ham, cucumber, eggs, shiitake mushrooms and tomato. Their ramen was refreshingly light and summery. Shiitake mushrooms were beautifully marinated and sprinkle of sesame seeds/oil was a nice touch. I loved how they prepared the sonomono, even the tempura was well prepared using real Japanese ingredients. Yaki soba had the taste of Japanese spices. Best sushi in town!
