There upon we stumbled our butts the Schweizerkonditoriet! This place is legititits and so cute and so cozy and oh my golly, I think we took 100+ photos here for the 'Gram. It's just THAT CUTE OH EM GEE! But on toppa all that, the food was delicious, too! I stuffed my fat face with all sorts of delicacies like Ham'n'Cheese Sammich from the Great North. Some Granola and Yoghurt from the Great South. Some Orange Juice from the Okay East. Apfelstrudel mit Vanillesoße from the Great Deutschland. Fresh Squeezed Pomegranate Juice that was Freshly Squeezed! Service was great. KThxBai! LuvYou! ^_______^

Right in the heart of the old town is Chokladkoppen, which makes for a great place to stop and rest…read moreafter lots of walking through Stockholm's Gamla Stan (Old Town). Sometimes you just need somewhere to catch your breath, catch up, and plan for the rest of the day. Chokladkoppen did that for me. I had the Hot Chocolate and a cinnamon bun, and leisurely sat at my table for at least 30 minutes. There was never pressure to move on, which is so common, at least in the US ("Are you finished working on that? Can I bring you something else? Can I bring you a box?). The hot chocolate was dark, very much tasted like quality chocolate, and like a warm massage. I also ate one of their cinnamon buns, which are very popular in Stockholm. It also hit the spot. The cost of the hot chocolate was $6 USD and the cinnamon bun was a few cents less. The view from the table and people watching alone was worth the total $12 cost, but so was the hot chocolate and cinnamon bun.

I would order my macchiato or cappucino for take away, sometimes buying a sandwich, too, just because it is so fresh and delicious. I am always asking myself why I have been addicted to Caffelini coffee and paninni, but the answer is simple: It is so good, my day has to start with something good. I got hooked. A perfectly done macchiato for less than 1.50 EUR, with Italian coffeehouse ambience and friendly barista, I hope more people would discover this place. Definitely something I recommend to friends.

A highlight was watching all the little birds perched beneath the table platform and seeing if the bird was going to help itself to the semla crumb or go bathing in the mochaccino. This was a wonderful place for a Fika.

Our experience was mixed at the Lady Hamilton hotel. We stayed in apartment #5 What we loved:…read more the location of the apartment- right near the Royal Palace. The Cafe in the hotel was fantastic and convenient and offered a wonderful breakfast. The staff were also very kind. What we didn't love: apartment 5 was on the first floor and was very very loud. We heard delivery trucks coming in as early as 4:30 in the morning every day. We heard Tour groups walking right by our window every day at all hours of the day. If we opened the windows, the noise was very very loud. There was also a clock from the Stockholm church that rang 24 hours a day every 15 minutes. The bed in the apartment was two small Narrow beds pushed together. Unfortunately the shower did not drain and caused a lot of flooding in the bathroom every time we bathed. Anytime we used the bathroom automatic lights would turn on which would light up the entire apartment because there was glass around the bathroom near the ceiling. There was no way to control this. The lights would stay on for five minutes. There was a smell in the apartment that was similar to kitty litter which we were told was likely from the drains in the sink. Lastly a fire alarm went off one morning time is the fire alarm go off at 4:30am---we didn't hear this initially because we had earplugs on. Once we heard it we called the front desk staff and sadly they didn't answer---prompting us to get dressed and run across the street to notify them. One of the perils of wearing earplugs so you can sleep!! If you are assigned to apartment 5 we recommend ear plugs and a sleep mask over your eyes any time you attempt to sleep, flipflops for the shower as you will be soaked in water on the floor, a candle to freshen up the smell in the unit, and fans to try and remove the smell from the unit. This unit may be ideal for someone hard of hearing or deaf. Enjoy!!

Since the price was not marked and I didn't ask beforehand, there was not much I could say, but buyer beware. Down the street about one block is a bar called Sjätte Tunnan which has ginger beer for 35kr. A fancy restaurant on Djurgården called Ulla Winbladh has mixed cocktails for 140 kronor. A Swedish football jersey at a nearby shop is 120 skr and a lentil soup dinner with hummus and bread at Cafe Dox down the street is 79 skr. Spend your 175 skr other places, not on one cocktail at Lazy House. Besides feeling cheated, I enjoyed the location and pleasant company. The servers seemed nice. We go out in that neighborhood every week, and we'd not go back there... live and learn.
